Have you noticed that, apparently, the Kitakami is coming (back)...

Same recycled script for any of his rage videos -
I think most of the plane kills were near the end of the battle, I was one of the few ships left alive (bar SS and CVs), so both CVs went for me then. I don't remember that battle entirely, I'll have to check the replay.

Wasn't really possible in that game. Dk if D7P is "try hard" but sure, I guess it can be ? Anyway, on-topic : There's little point in buffing Flak (amount and/or damage) if the flak range is negligible - I think the Oktobership has 0.5 km where flak spawns ? Imo not worth buffing it then.

Any source for this or are you just making things up again ?

I think CVs are strong in Ops; of course some are less suitable than others (e.g. Indomitable vs Pobeda). Spotting is useful when you have players in ships with smokescreens; e.g. on Aegis, have them smoke to intercept the 2nd wave unchallenged while I keep the bots spotted. Or on Operations with a varying spawn, to check where the next spawn is (e.g. Raptor Rescue). Enemy ships' fighters are a non-issue most of the time, as it the AA most of the time. Only times when the AA gets (somewhat) rough is the quadruple BB spawn on Hermes, the last wave on Ultimate Frontier, and a triple Kitakaze/Akizuki spawn on Aegis - however these can still be worked around, either by pre-dropping, dropping from further away, or taking some alternate approach paths. Forts have (relatively) decent AA, but it's short range so easy to evade. In general I think a CV (when played well) is a great addition to an Ops team.

No, double CV game.
-
They won't stop a strike* but they'll kill most (if not all) planes regardless; the "deadly" aura is only 4km. *unless the CV eats flak ofc :edit: In my experience with D7P; most CV players attack once, lose most / all of their planes, and then just leave me alone. And if they do keep coming ... recently I broke my record of plane kills in a single battle (101, with D7P).

Aiming bugs again. Or rather, still.

I was a newbie once. I grinded up different tech tree lines, and made sure I was playing all different classes to learn their strengths and weaknesses. By the time I got to T5 with DDs, CLs, BBs, and CVs, I was well over 200 battles. Sidenote : "grinds" actually took some time back then, since there weren't that many eco boosters as there are nowadays. For new players I would recommend trying out the different classes as I did, but everyone is free to do as they want of course. In the end it comes down to the player; they can enjoy "new player matchmaking" if they want to (as long as conditions are met), or they can take part in the "general matchmaking". I also think it's a bit hypocritical for a reroll CV main to seemingly care about the newbies.

Maybe in those 4 years something happened to the flooding mechanics ...

As if Flamu doesn't try to make everything into a drama, since this is what brings him views / income. @OP : Got to keep up with the latest rage ! It's not Colossus anymore but Gato now !

--> ^ Proceeds to take out a T6 BB to prove "new player protection" doesn't exist - even though "new player protection" only goes up to (and including) T4. Classic. https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Matchmaking

Okay, I really hope there are more and more players like this

Some missions are (much) more easily achievable in Ops compared to Randoms / Coop; hence WG excludes Ops for most of the missions.

Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.

Thank you for clarifying that the X-axis is the horizontal one, and that "Apr-18 Jun-18 Aug-18 Oct-18 Dec-18 Feb-19 ..." is a timescale; I completely missed that.

Have you considered both graphs / graph sets can be misrepresentations ? The first graph set (mentioned in OP) has a questionable data gathering / filtering method. As mentioned earlier in this thread, it misrepresents returning players, making past active player numbers higher than they actually were. The second graph (posted by WG) has a blank Y-axis and is thus difficult to read / interpret (since you don't know the scale of the axis). Regardless, my personal opinion is that player quantity is dropping at lower tiers, and player quality is dropping at higher tiers. Both should be able to be shown in proper graphs, based on proper data; but alas neither does.

I still think it's weird that the Colossus gets so much flak while the Aquila should (technically) be able to achieve the same. Share the hate ! Don't forget about the Aquila !

The only thing they fear is you. When playing CVs.
