I also would like to add that, what NoZoup is saying, is from the perspective of a player "haunted" by CVs (as he stated in that video). Imo it would be good for most players to have some experience with (high tier) CVs. A wise man once said: Besides situations where I'm in a non-CV vs a CV, there are multiple things I learned when playing CVs, that aided me to improve my overall gameplay. e.g. one of the things I learned when playing CVs, is how to (more accurately) predict the flow of a battle in the next minutes. It's a very universal and useful skill, that helped me to improve my play with the other classes as well.

On the other hand you can completely dominate the enemy CV and still lose the match, because the rest of your team are utter morons. And if the enemy team has any brains and sails together in groups of 3+ ships, you'll have a hard time hitting / sinking any of them - and then you're too reliant on your team do deal damage (and, as said above, if they're utter morons the battle is lost without you having any chance of turning the tides unless the enemy makes some serious mistakes). ::edit:: Just watched that NoZoup-video posted here Some of the things he says are indeed true - others I just don't agree with, e.g. how "BBs, CAs and DDs can be played somewhat similar to each other". And some of the things he says apply to any class tbh, e.g. "you can delete ships at will provided you do the right thing and play smart"; this applies to any ship class, not just the CV. I almost fell of my chair laughing when he said "very very good aircraft carrier players like iChase ... "

Nice guy hava :::edit::: can't remember if I posted this one before ... but eh, why not :::edit 2::: somehow I missed this change imo reading through this whole thread might be the ultimate psychology test (one test to rule them all ... and in the darkness bind them)

If TX would be profitable, everyone would be playing TX. Also, you don't have to pay money to be able to play TX, just play a T7 afterwards -
No detonation btw, just 3 citadel hits ... Nurnberg/10 armour!

Corgi-fleet (NA-event), would you be interested to have it coming to EU?
lup3s replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
Sad but probably true. -
They probably thought it was necessary to """fix""" an unexisting problem (like with the div window).

No. So many battles are already thrown because of players' stupidity. -
Awards for Aegis operation do not appear in inventory ?

At one point you rather play Ops with randoms than in a division, because then you're sure to get a high amount of damage / XP -
I noticed in your other screenshots, however in the one with the Minotaur I can only see Dev Strike and Dreadnought... (unless one of those is your Clear Skies )
-
Same here.. I almost started to have doubts
-
Another subject, shooting down 63 planes should really be rewarded "Clear Skies" (especially in a non-CV)
-
But ... how? The torps get spread out by Def AA, so you must have been really unlucky to get OHK'd?
-
DB RNG is a problem imo (especially vs DDs).

Yes, return IJN torps to their pre-nerf state please (my Shima feels nearly useless atm ...)

Very few imo, and most of them were BBaby-cries... But as these changes were made and are likely to stay, why should only BBs be (indirectly) buffed most* of the time? Don't the other classes deserve some love? (* except for the smoke firing mechanics' change.. I hated that one.. so long smoke-based teamplay ) This "problem" is mainly caused by an overpopulation of BBs (there are 5 BBs per team (nearly) every battle), and DDs being much easier detected (e.g. more radar ships, SF removal). Because of this, these devastating AP salvoes happen more often than they used to. Yes, it never changed, it just occurs more; and when something "bad" occurs too often, a change might be needed. WG catered the BB plebs so many times, why not cater the DD / CL / CA players for once?
-
Meanwhile WG was quick to lower multiple BBs' citadel (and releasing BBs with a submerged citadel), because surely broadside BBs shouldn't be punished.. And Cruisers shouldn't (reliably) hit the citadel of BBs! Blasphemy! I miss the days where I could wreck a close broadside Iowa with my 203mm (American) AP

Bismarck, either go tank build or full manliness build (BFT + AFT + Man Secondaries + Man AA ) - works great on Shinyhorse or Derpitz as well! -
It took me some hundreds of battles before I realised I was playing Coop
-
I once shot a Kongo from ~17km with my Nagato and detonated an unspotted DD
-
While true, OP is talking about "1 shell killing him, normally when he's full health" .. I would think it's some fun and engaging gameplay, but OP might also be mistaken ofc :)
-
I wouldn't ask a "refund" for my Missouri if it lost its radar (it was free anyway); it's still a Premium Iowa you can use for captain (re)training and credits ... so many credits
