I do think so. Their accuracy seems to be improved, and it seems the bot captains have a better skill distribution (e.g. FP for bot BBs, DE for bot CA/CLs or DDs, etc.). I'll have to check if the bots run signal flags. In my experience, bots always focussed ships with lowest health (i.e. you could be rushing them with your full health BB but they'd still shoot the full health DD further away). Receiving high damage was always possible - with increased accuracy you'll just have to actively evade more (WASD). I don't think bots can shoot unspotted ships. --------------------------- The quality of the bots has improved, hopefully the quality of the players as well (but I doubt so).

I might misunderstand your post; but since when is using the minimap "abusing UI deficiencies" ? And why should good players get shafted ? Don't we want the average player to get better at the game, instead of dumbing down the game to the level of the average player ?

3. Although the guns' DPM is lower on IJN DDs than on USN DDs, don't be scared to use them anyway. Preferably you stay in stealth, but sometimes you just have to use them (e.g. if you're on 10k health and you encounter a DD on 2k health, use your guns to finish him). Some experience and situational awareness is required to make a good assessment of the situation (e.g. if you're not spotted and that low-health DD has multiple ships' support, it might be better to not fire your guns and seek a better / safer opportunity). Also, if you get into a favourable fight (gun- and/or health-wise), please don't use your torpedoes

Tried UF once last night with my Scharnhorst. 4 star victory, 230k damage. And I even had both my torpedo tubes destroyed by that pesky Clemson at the start of the battle. Yes, the bots are my accurate, but if you sink them fast enough it's really not a big deal.

I also keep some ships - but my captain (usually) moves up the line. I got plenty of unused 10-pt captains anyway .. WG handed them out like candy at some point

Finished both ages ago. Even got the Shinonome before I completed the "easy" campaign -
Imo biggest problem is that half the player base was already worse than the bots. ........ Why would you only have a 4-pt captain at T7? And how? Most of my captains have 10 to 13 points when I reach T7.

Biased poll. I want a challenge and I want stars. I want the "hard" mode - perhaps the Ops might finally be some challenge then. And probably will still get 5-star wins. As it is now, if you want them to be somewhat challenging, you have to play them in a 5- or 6-player division. :::edit::: It also sucks that they excluded T5 ships from the Ops - it was fun and more challenging to play the Ops in a (nearly) full T5 division. WG, allow T5s in Ops again!

Mainly this. The most difficult thing to face as a CV (apart from strong AA ships), is a blob of 3-4 ships. Their combined AA usually guarantees few bombers will survive the strike - if you get to strike at all. Throw a Cruiser in there with Def AA and they're pretty much immune to CV strikes. Imo what would help, is making CV MM -1/+1. That way the CV shouldn't face 2 tier lower ships with too weak AA, neither 2 tier higher ships with a "no fly zone".

If CVs are allowed, more AA skills and upgrades will be picked. T8 CVs are pretty useless (except for spotting) against TX AA specced ships. Any Cruiser will massacre your planes - as will Gearing or Grozovoi - as will Montana, GK, CQ ...- 33 replies

Ah yes, none of my Kaga's DBs ever survive a battle .. they're pure bait / sacrifice I do think the DB pilots must be on to me .. as soon as they drop their bombs, they automatically retreat to my ship

I like the idea But there are indeed some caveats (most of the ones I can think of have been mentioned here before) inb4 some camping BBs start crying about icebergs hitting their precious ships and causing flooding
