  1. I'm in doubt. I have the Kagero, Akizuki and Harekaze as T8 IJN DDs .. don't know if I need a 4th one, but on the other hand I could buy it just for the lolz (read: to annoy BBabies)
  2. Imo it should scale with tiers - as it did now. Let's say 40%/45% for CVs and 30%/35% for other classes. (Maybe a little lower for DDs, e.g. 20/25% for DDs)
  3. I have a 17pt captain for Leningrad / Gremy / Minsk. Almost unlocked the T8s so I don't know if EM is still needed, I might train a new captain then. 1. PT : You're mostly firing , so you're spotted most of the time, it helps to know how many people are actually aiming at you to know if you should start disengaging. 2. LS + EM + AR : You don't want to spend DCP on fixing rudder or engine + these ships really need the faster turret traverse imo + faster gun & torpedo reload if you get to lower health (especially useful in Gremy and Lenin as you can stealth torp with these). 3. SE + DE : More health = you'll live longer (also a decent combo with AR) + higher chance to start BBQs. You could forego DE and pick SI if you want an extra smoke and engine boost consumable. In fact, I'll probably pick SI once I get to the RU DD line that has heals. 4. CE : Useful for Gremy and Lenin as they can reach a respectful concealment. Further up the RU DD line I'll probably keep CE for the ones that lead to the Grozovoi, but I'll probably switch CE for AFT for the ones that lead to the Khaba. You could forego DE or SI and pick AFT instead. Order in which I picked them: PT -> LS -> SE -> CE -> EM -> AR -> DE Not sure yet on what I'll spend my last skill points. If EM isn't needed on T8+ TU DDs, I'll probably pick (for the gunboat DDs) : PT + PM LS + AR SE + SI + DE AFT or CE Maybe I would swap out DE and PM to get both AFT and CE, but I'm not sure.

    My experience differs from that ... I don't have many TXs yet, but Shima is the one I perform best with. Although I have to mention my Yamato seems to be cursed .. last 8 battles with her were all losses, even detonated twice (but that's another topic).

    I don't "feel" the Shima is a bad ship ... and I don't "feel" much issues with radar ships ... which means there are none at all and the Shima is very good ? right ??? I can get used to this way of thinking Anyway, Shima is my most played TX ship and I do fine with her. Probably a case of L2P.
  9. So I checked which non-CVs I would've gotten the achievement with (assuming it's 40) : NC (46), Scharnhorst (40), and Baltimore (41). I've got about 10 ships with 30-39 plane kills. I do think it would be better if the requirement for this achievement was reduced to 30 (for non-CVs). Or (to be able to scale with tiers) at least 30 plane kills OR at least 35% of all planes. For CVs I think it could be %-based (like High Caliber), as there's guaranteed to be a CV on the enemy team; e.g. shoot down 40% of all planes.

    Tbh, 50 plane kills isn't that special for a Saipan in a 2v2 CV battle.
  11. If it's 40 it's fine I guess. (but 30 would be better) I've (recently) had 40 plane kills with ShinyHorse, and 46 with NC, but didn't even get Clear Skies.

    Imo free xp is useful to upgrade ships that are very poor when stock. Don't use free xp to skip a ship - any experience you get, with any ship, is always good.

    I hope this is WG testing the bots' AI and how difficult they can make the Ops ; but I do agree WG should do this with "hard mode" setting, and not with the normal one. I (and probably many others) have been waiting some time now for the hard mode to be introduced

    I lile the way they're going with thede Ops. They were waaaaaay too easy anyway. Hermes was - like most other Ops - just a farmfest. But I still need to get 100 plane kills with my Atlanta - my most so far was 96

That was indeed a fun one .. brawling with a Lyon and LaGal in my Kaga (and surviving the encounter) .. and getting called a camper by the enemy Saipan We did have a lot more wins compared to losses btw .. but the teams (both allies and enemies) were quite horrible most of the time. The curse of the Yamato was real though

    And that's even without Manual AA ? On the Gneisenau I can actually somewhat understand it, as it's a brawler and is (or should be) usually near the frontline, so a target for CVs .. but the Lyon with it's 12-gun broadside seems like a mid-range fighter, so I don't know why it needs such good AA

    In all my games I've only once noticed someone getting 2 double strikes .. me with the Hipper But nice to see that there's finally a special captain that can be useful on a CV.

    CVs already have limited ammo And how would you balance this in a class? e.g. an Atlanta might need some more ammo than a Myoko
