I've taken Blyska, Sims and Leningrad with success in UF (in division though). Sims is great for smoking up allied Cruisers

Poll: Nation limits on current and new operations

I want an Op "detonate the Hood" where we play as KM ships vs 1 Hood, and the only way to sink it is by detonating it -

Afaik DCP is always on "R" (my setting) on any ship. -

Ah probably I misunderstood it then. These are some valid points points though (especially the quite useless reduced flooding time signal flag). The key bindings I don't care that much about, as I don't really have problems with it. -
Cleveland is a beast imo. And the floaty shells are easy to deal with if you're used to also playing the Atlanta.

It isn't. Play enough battles with BBs and you'll get R1 eventually

Why don't you want the division window fixed ? -
Omg @Loran_Battle we finally get some recognition

Any ship besides CV -> opt out of Standard Battles CV -> doesn't really matter, but preferably Standard Battles

Why do some people refer to sailing in formation as 'lemming mode'?
lup3s replied to FearsomeFlotsam's topic in General Discussion
In my experience teams (in Random Battles) are nearly always composed of 12 players - the sole exception being at the odd times when there are not enough players online (for a certain battle tier) to fill a battle. As for a (/my) definition of a lemming train, see page 1, post #2 (can't seem to put a proper link since I'm on my phone). It's only a lemming train if they fail; which is why it's not always possible to tell at the start of a battle if the "formation" of ships is a lemming train or not (although it mostly is). Most of the times it comes down to one or two things: not using the advantages of a superior amount of ships on one side, or failing to "read" how the battle will unfold. -

Which DDs would you recommend using IFHE on? (apart from Akizuki and 100mm-Harekaze) I've thought about it but in the end I've always spent the last points on something else

Better question would be ... how is he still full HP and has dealt only 11k damage, with 4 minutes left on the clock ?

Does the % fire chance increases ? Might be useful trying to burn down T9-T10 BBs

What are the results of the "International Grand Finals" ? I can only seem to find the results of the EU tournament

SE is the first 3-point captain skill I pick on most of my DDs. The extra health is really useful in gunfights and stacks well with AR. The extra 2-3k hp is a lot for a DD, and can mean the difference between getting sunk or surviving. Against capital ships (assuming you're doing torpedo runs) it doesn't really matter if you're full health or nearly dead ..

Tbh I do think most "unicorns" were playing Narai because it was a fun Operation. Yes one could get ~3k base XP, but I only used it to get captain xp and not free xp (although in hindsight I could've gone for the free xp as well) Ah .. Operation Narai .. nostalgia had my highest Op damage so far in it

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
lup3s replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Asashio game - when you pick the wrong flank (only 1 BB) and need to chase after enemy BBs the entire battle - all you can do is spot -
But why ? It's the reason given by WG why they removed Narai (and probably improved the bots a bit). Lower the rewards for "potato" mode. There are too many bad players. Exactly this. Imo one of the reasons why the "average" player is still so bad, is the introduction of all these potato-friendly mechanics: idiot-proof submerged citadels, no-skill RN HE, the "print a new ship"-heal, etc. They never learned to angle, nor to use WASD, nor to use cover, nor how to use DCP and Repair properly; all they learned was to snipe from max range. Now in the Ops they need to move, need to get close(r), and they get annihilated - because they just don't know how to play this game. And still I see players sailing to the map border to snipe .. in Ops .. surprisingly mostly BBs .. This is not the "harder" bots' fault, this is just the average player being so damn bad at this game. I get it that you like Ops more than Randoms; but imo the rewards in Ops should be somewhere between Coop and Random. Otherwise most potatoes will probably grind through their T6s and T7s in Ops - they might think they're good because of the easy Ops, but then playing their T8 in PvP or Ranked they'll just get slaughtered (especially with how currently T8s get so often in T10 battles). One of the things I like about any game is the learning curve; gaining experience and getting better at the game by playing it. I don't think Coop or those easy-mode Ops is the way to improve the average player's skill.

Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.
lup3s replied to albinbino's topic in General Discussion
Apparently because I was a "noob DD camper behind island". - I went straight for the A cap - he followed so I put down a smoke screen for him (I sailed out to spot) - he just sailed through the smoke, broadside to a triple BB division (all 3 of them were spotted well in advance) - he lost 3/4 of his health to a triple BBs' salvo - he torped me because I "didn't support him and am useless noob DD island camper" (FYI: I was still in the cap, spotting enemies and torping those BBs like an Asashio should do) -
Just to give an idea .. last week we tried UF once with only 4 ships; we got a defeat with only ~2 minutes left on the clock. I can say that with 5 ships we could've been victorious (even with 5 stars). That's still 2 ships (or over a quarter) less than a "normal" team .. the average player is just too bad for UF as it is now (and Ops in general; but some are easier to carry than others).

Current implementation but with each ship +1 tier ? Or all ships of -1/+1 tier compared to the tier of the Op (e.g. for UF T6 to T8 ships). As the Op progresses the average tier per wave could be increased. In UF you still have waves with T4 and T5 ships after all ...

Increased (captain) xp and/or credits would be sufficient imo. A small amount (5) of some signal flags could be nice, maybe by a permanent (repeatable) daily challenge for hard mode

Exactly this. I want hard mode. But not at the cost of easy mode. Imo hard mode should yield better rewards though.
