Well I guess that in the larger scheme of things I would like anything to be able to sort captains. Even if just by class of ship they are assigned to or anything. I feel that with the amount of captain XP we're getting these days, ore and more people will have 19pt captains and obviously we're all getting more ships as well. It's just annoying to keep track of them all.

Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily want them spending a bunch of time on this as there are more important issues but I was just thinking this is the kind of thing that shouldn't be too complicated or take too long, relatively speaking. There isn't a lot of interaction with other stuff and they have already done it as a company in WoT.

I have a bunch of captains but I also have a bunch of ships. And I don't need to change the spec for each ship.

I understand team mates sometimes do frustrating things but this topic has already been covered in a bunch of different shapes or forms (mm thread and countless threads complaining about team mates). It really isn't productive. Instead of a bunch of people agreeing that bad players are bad (insert surprised pikachu.jpg) how about writing a couple of guides. Or putting pressure on WG to introduce a set of mandatory tutorial missions or something. Anything constructive. These kinds of threads don't serve any purpose and I am sorry but I am locking this one down.

I still suggest German or Russian BBs to anyone who wants to learn the game. Being durable is by far the most important characteristic for new players who will make a bunch of positioning mistakes and nothing is quite as durable as those two lines.

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to discuss all the ins and outs of the system. I doubt WG will ever release the full details which would enable people to find creative ways to dodge it. But again, you are making strawman arguments. I never said that reporting doesn't have an impact. What I said is reporting does not have any impact if you did not deserve a ban i.e. if you never used insults/profanity in chat. So to our particular case, you cannot know for sure who reported you or when and if you hadn't said anything that would warrant a ban in the first place, then you would not be chat banned. Basically what I am saying is that even if they would have reported you, and I am not saying they did - there is no way to know for sure, but assuming they had and you had nothing in your chat logs that would warrant a chat ban, you would not have gotten banned. I genuinely don't want to argue. I dislike it but I think it's important to not accuse whole groups of people and start making sweeping statements without at least a shred of proof. Can we not agree on that at least? Just the fact that you have no way of knowing for sure who reported you. (I deleted your conversation with CS because it's against the rules to post that here)

Well I guess that torpedoes are missing but you do have radar instead. I would trade torpedoes for radar any day of the week. I am not trying to convince you here because if you do prefer ze jermans then yeah, Agir is probably more your thing. In fact, I dare say that the choice actually is between Alaska and Agir. Azuma doesn't bring anything to the table. I have it and it mostly rusts in port.

I also agree that the Alaska is by far the best out of the bunch. And I dare say the easiest to play and the most rewarding.

Don't try to make strawman arguments. I never said everyone in testing programmes is without reproach. That wasn't the point and you know full well. And quoting just the last bit you said like that was the issue is not really fair. You said that you suspect that you were chat banned because some people (testers) reported you. I pointed out that you have no evidence of that and that's not how getting chat bans work in the first place. Then someone else piled on as though the initial supposition was proven fact and said how testers are immature. You also said that this whole affair explains "the high calibre of the testing process" even though it is a total non sequitur. And after all of that you decided to say that most people you ran into were not sanctimonious - I didn't know what you meant by that until you qualified that by saying that you think that "sanctimonious" means negative or "up-themselves" (which it doesn't). I had no way of knowing what you were trying to say nor does it matter for the other stuff and I don't want to discuss semantics in the first place. Calling you and the other person out on this is not me being on a moral high horse. Not like any of the testers are here to defend themselves nor could they so I just pointed out you were wrong in the way you acted. And I am not a super tester so I didn't get offended or anything of the sort. It annoyed me because of the way you both were acting. It's super simple, don't accuse people of things you have no way of knowing they did. That's where we should leave things.

Three things here: 1) As it has been mentioned in this thread and proven literally dozens of times, you do not get chat banned just because people reported you. That is simply not how it works. You have to have used profanity in chat or been toxic previously - as you yourself admit as a possibility. 2) Don't point fingers at someone or at a group of people based on suspicions and nothing else. I don't want to be the one to defend testers but what you your accusations are utterly baseless. 3) Don't attack people calling them immature and such when, as mentioned in point 2, you have no clue whatsoever if they had anything to do with your ban. Especially when they are not even here to defend themselves You both went from a suspicions to outright negatively portraying a whole group of people who give up their time voluntarily so that we all can benefit from tested ships . If you think for one second that the game would be better without the various testing programmes you are dreadfully wrong. The testing process isn't perfect but it's pretty good - I can tell you that as someone who is familiar with the super tester programme, is in a clan in the CST programme and I happen to have worked at EA as a QA tester so I know what I am comparing to. It genuinely makes me angry that you both decided to go from a suspicion to outright insulting a whole bunch of people in the space of two posts. Again, people who aren't even here to defend themselves. And even IF (and it's a huge "if") this division was guilty of everything you accuse them of (without a shred of evidence) how do you get to disparaging all testers because of one (possible) bad experience with some people reporting you unfairly (which as mentioned still wouldn't get you banned unless you deserved it anyway). It's astonishing to me that while you were both typing your posts you both thought you were in the right.

We're not calling the word "noob" the "n word" now. You wouldn't get banned if you called people noobs unless you do it in every match and are just generally super toxic. If you used the n word (the actual one) then any ban you get is absolutely justified.

I don't think you need to stay 12km clear of everything. I also don't think that being radared is necessarily the end of the world. I genuinely was sympathetic to the problems that people are reporting but now you're just exaggerating. It was always going to be rough with the release of a bunch of new ships with radar. I don't think it's unplayable but I do think it's more difficult than it should be. I still think that the interaction between DDs and CVs is the main problem.

I always do. The day the deto flags came out, I said to myself that I can now at least avoid one of the things that was a big source of frustration for me in the past and I have always had a deto flag equipped since.

In fairness 18 seconds is usually not a real issue. Unless there’s a Venezia around then 18 seconds can absolutely mean you go back to port or lose the vast majority of your hp because of something you cannot outplay. I’ve not had major issues though. I mean 4 or 6 radar ships is pretty much the same thing. You have to play super safe if you don’t want to get blown up.
