I'm at a loss to know where that came from, perhaps start again with the thread as see what my point was before being mangled by others?
-
The God complex you mean? 'I can do it so I will do it', again not something that survives in real life.
-
I wasn't even talking about myself, I never said I had an issue with being reported myself. So do try to keep up, but I admit it may be difficult among the admittedly erroneous embellishments by others to try and fashion their point. I was talking about the overall level of miserable bastards in the game, whoever that qualifies in or out.
-
OK, here's one for those who aren't psychics, how does a normal player, not a psychic and not a stage act, know what they are supposed to learn from being reported? Some thought transference maybe hidden in the 'report' button? It doesn't show up on anybody's screen, there is no message.
-
I doubt if given a choice in Random MM that anybody would actually choose to sit at your table, but do you imagine you are inviting people to play with you, get over yourself pompous prig!
-
I have no personal issue with you, only the idea that being mean spirited should be an intrinsic part of the game. If you having nothing nice to say about a winning team show some self control and keep it buttoned, otherwise somebody may assume you are a miserable sod.
-
Because going back to my original point, you've won the [edited]battle, what is it about winning that gives you the right to not stand tall as a team? Just mean spirited? *edited* Removed personal attacks. Arty_McFly

Or a system that gives 'entitled' supremisists the ability to slap down players that don't conform to 'the plan'. You cant deny that players think they did better than other players just because something or other happened in the battle that caused them to have a little hissy fit. Reporting players for that is both pathetic and weak, blaming everything on somebody else and very rarely taking into account the things the 'entitled' player could have done better themselves. So don't give me that crap that the reporting system works as intended because the players who survive or do more damage in a battle are 'better' than the players that don't, there is no way in WoWs to differentiate important influence on the battle from simple damage or kills.
-
I'd add into the category of toxic players those who report fellow teammates even though the battle was won. There is something very 'special' about these people who have so little empathy for anybody who's had a bad game but done the team no harm in the long term.
-
You have a 56% win ratio, how will you feel about it going down to 50%? This is the logical conclusion to players only playing against people of equal skill. Eventually all players would end up with a 50% WR, from today's 65% players to the 40% players. Is that what you intend because if as you imply you've been following the discussions over the years this is always the conclusion if skill based MM mentioned.

First make sure there isn't some other function, such as updates, running in the background and is using up resources. Then check using Pingplotter to see if your internet connection is sound, it will show if you are losing data in small enough packets to cause stutter. It does sound most like it's your internet connection because this wouldn't necessarily affect other functions of your PC that you'd notice. One other thing, make sure nothing is Wi-Fi, use cables to your modem and from your keyboard and mouse to your PC. If your internet is flakey these are the first things to suffer and can also be affected by a weak single anyway.

Please allow Chat banned people to talk in CB!

Because you are conveniently ignoring the fact that if somebody is playing so badly they are an embarrassment to the team they will be spammed with all the available 'reports' possible. I'm not saying it's right, but in the battle or chat and the player talks or plays like an idiot then you'll get the full-on comeback. And in terms of hyperbole your statement that 'people get banned for literally not saying anything' is tantamount to saying 'but it was him, it wasn't me', a child's way to try and devolve blame. If people get reports against them they are coming from somewhere, and even in WoWs it is because they are so awful as a player on any level of performance or conduct the report is in frustration at their performance and/or behaviour. -

Except people don't get chat banned for one offence unless it really is offensive, like racist or something. Casual reporting somebody does not result in a chat ban. So getting a ban is more than being reported just because 'somebody disagreed with you'. If you want to equate banning a gobshite as censorship you are being an apologist for some the the worst people in gaming, not only for the upset and distraction to the game they cause but also for the example they set. Grow up. -
And now they're telling your other Clan mates what they fooled you into doing.

WoWs meets 'Where's Waldo?'

Could we have a "I got a chatban!"-button?

'Gunboat' is a general term for a ship designed to bombard coastal installations, it's main character is having powerful guns and in more modern times speed. While coastal raiding was usually a job for smaller shallow draft vessels it wasn't always so and the term 'gunboat' also included much larger ships designed for patrolling the large rivers and coastal areas in the Far East, places such as the Yangtze. 'Gun boat diplomacy' is a term still used in current politics and it comes up often in political and naval history, but it doesn't mean rowing up and down on a boating lake. It means sending ships or other armaments as a threat to other countries. So I think using the word 'boat' as with 'gunboat DD' is an example of the rich and varied way the English language can express concepts without descending into bland literalism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunboat_diplomacy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunboat

I think the Benham is great for mugging enemy ships, but equally it's easy to get mugged. On the other hand the Mogador is a knife fighter that can go up against the enemy aggressively. Two very different tier IX DD's, both play differently. The common thing is both have been released just before tier IX Ranked battles, which I'm sure is skewing the gameplay in each ship. After a while I think the Benham will settle down as players in Random battles get to know it and how to combat it.

If lobbing HE at you in your BB has distracted you that is one of the main points of doing it. Starting fires is a bonus, but if you can see the BB's guns start to turn towards you it's both time scoot away but also pat yourself on the back. Not enough recognition is given to the importance of keeping the enemy unsure of where to point their guns.

And maybe a shorter time limit? I mean we have rental ships from time to time but surely the idea of a player buying a ship to complete a mission or take part in events shouldn't be allowed if their intention is only to ask for a refund later? Wouldn't any honest player feel like they'd been rogered if it was allowed? We all 'play the game' by looking for niche openings in updates as well as spotting anomalies in the rules. But players in divisions of ships bought only to complete missions and tasks, and even individual players looking to cover up for their own lack of due diligence is going to make the Premium Shop and the Armoury even more like the Wild West.

To take IFHE or Not to take IFHE? That is the question
250swb replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
Any ship firing in nighttime should just go with DE because you need the fires to see where the enemy are. -
Well you could quote Prince Charles and call the modern architecture of London as being 'a carbuncle', but the simple fact is that there are no modern RN ships in the game so why should London be modernised? How about keeping to a period when times were simpler.

Look at it from the other direction. You earned credits and XP by playing it, how are those going to be recouped and deleted from your account by Wargaming? Additionally you also took credits and XP from other players so how are those going to be reimbursed? There are consequences to you changing your mind, it may have been a player not completing a mission, it may have been a player not earning enough credits and XP to get the next ship. Either way you took from other players but want yourself to be returned to parity, that sounds like a system for chaos and game violations.

Strange rare bug/error/glitch: For the 2nd time this year I noticed that WoWs didn't generate the LOG file... Has anyone else ever noticed that?
250swb replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
There are two 'Logs' folders, the one you are referencing is in the 'bin64' folder and deals with recent data, the other in the main directory I don't know what it does but the last entries in mine are for April. -
I just reset my first tech tree, and plan to reset them all.
