    Built-in manual secondaries for BBs

Assuming you're going full secondary then take AFT first as 7 km range is still useful and buffs AA as well (I think) then take M2 as a 14 point skill, M2 doesn't really get to be much use until you get the 7.5 km base at T8.

    Built-in manual secondaries for BBs

You realise that instead of the 30% hit rates we have in game IRL main gun hit rates were in the order of 2% - 3%, so that's 80% of salvos missing completely maybe one hit every 3 minutes (and that could well be an overpen) and it would be quite possible for a good player to go through the entire battle without hitting anything. So the game you want is essentially park up showing full broadside, click on a target and then just watch AI shells rain down on the target, does that sound like fun to you? Oh, and BTW, BB typically carried between 12 (Yamato) and 20 (Iowa) guns, the largest I can find is 6.1 (Yamato) but they're wing mounted so the most you'll be practically able to use is between 6 and 10, so your T10 BB now has the firepower of maybe a large destroyer or perhaps a T5 cruiser. Why not start a poll to find out how many think that's a good idea.

Difference is that with surface ships the lack of teamplay is down to the players, with CV it's down to the mechanics.

The same claim is trotted out to support every BB buff, we can''t push because............... ................and then they still camp.

    More buffs for BB? Really?

    T22 Hydro

Objectively, she's one of very few T5 DD that can stealth torp and 1km margin before CE and cammo is pretty decent, 13,700 damage and 68 seconds reload is respectable for any tier and impressive for T5, 72,000 HE DPM is reasonable and if you can use the AP she'll outgun I think any other DD at her tier, 6.5 km detection makes her one of the stealthiest ships in the game, the handling is pretty decent by KM DD standards and the HP pool is certainly competitive. The only downsides I can see are that she's a bit slow and she gets T5 MM, which includes some notoriously OP premium ships, but on the whole I'd suggest there's a good case for saying, tier for tier, she is the best of the KM silver DD. But I'd be interested to know what you think the best one is.
  8. Yeah, because T4 with 2-3 CV every game and no AA is soooooooooooooooo much more fun.
  9. I think it could be a plus, how many ships have been reviewed in one state only to receive a dose of nerf-bat just before release?

Can you imagine a situation where anyone in an official capacity would say anything but that in public? I think the CC's have pretty much all voiced opposition to the CV rework, WG talks to them regularly, I suspect that in private a lot of the WG staff are not at all happy with the outcome but jobs and incomes depend upon keeping that quiet (and hiding it from those higher up in the company) so officially everything is mostly fine.
  11. Rather than de-rail the CV thread I'll respond to this CV thread post here: Okay, what I think that boils down to is subs end up replacing DD by being better at the DD roles than the surface ships are, immune to most of the DD countermeasures, and I can't see many players wanting to play DD in a purely defensive role (outside of clan battles etc). The problem I see is that it's a return to the 2016 5-2-5 torpedo soup meta, every game 5 BB + 5 subs and a random CV/CA/DD thrown in for good measure, and I think we can guess how happy the baBBies will be with that situation.
  12. Because players who know the game, know the game.
  13. I think OP is the wrong word, unbalancable would be more suitable, there is no way that they can be anything less than OP and playable at the same time.

They're options for you or your team, they may not be applicable in all circumstances but there are counterplays available, which is not something you can generally say about CV. I don't see the equivilence, sure HE spam may be annoying but you can fight back against it, CV are broken in a much more fundamental way. In any event what's the alternative to HE spam? BB imune to return fire from other classes? Why have other classes then?

Not really, against HE spammers you have offensive options, blind fire or torpedo smoke, use island cover to close the distance, if you can't shoot at them then maybe somebody else on your team can; against CV your options are purely defensive and even then if a good CV player wants you then you are dead. This is borne out by the survival rates for the classes, Smol/Worcester are about 36% so somebody's benefiting from having them in game, CV in contrast are about 75% and for the 25% that do go down I'd suggest that's usually the last ship in an already lost game.

    WG should reduce Yamato's citadel

And once that one gets buffed someone will ask for Conq/Monty etc to be buffed and so on.

5 BB every game for the last 3 years and players are still asking for buffs for BB....................

What kind of game balance is that? You can't do anything about it but don't worry, maybe the other player is and you'll be okay.

What makes you consider quitting WoWs?

I would suggest that's actually the exact opposite of what WG wants, unskilled uneducated players are likely where the real money is. The business model revolves around the myth that you need to progress to tier 10 to succeed and selling all sorts of boosters to get there as quickly as possible. On top of that you have the next line of ships that powercreeps everything else and the must have premiums that will "make you a better player" and that's how WG make their money. It's much easier to sell that to bad players, they will fail at every tier and being bad they will blame the ship rather than themselves making them suckers for every money making trick WG has to offer. Good players can have fun at any tier and are happy to grind at their own pace, it's much harder to convince them that they need a better ship and thus they are much harder customers to sell to.

What makes you consider quitting WoWs?

My personal theory is that it started to go downhill with the IJN DD rework; the old Isokaze/Minekaze acted as a kind of skill check that forced BB players to learn at least something about the game before they progressed to the higher tiers, with that removed even the most learning resistant BB players were free to straight line all the way to T10. Otherwise I agree with everything you said.
