WG, could you please take a look at Texas + Colorado?
loppantorkel replied to Mr_Burke's topic in General Discussion
Best tier 5 bb and it's not powerful enough for a premium, and in another thread people are complaining about premiums being too OP.. Must be tough to balance. -
Gremy is less OP now. So.. no, you're wrong.

WG, could you please take a look at Texas + Colorado?
loppantorkel replied to Mr_Burke's topic in General Discussion
https://eu.warships.today/vehicles Texas seems to perform quite well. I haven't tried it myself though. -
Plus, there's some regular ships that can be considered OP too. ..and some regular ships that are weaker than average.
-
Thank you. Only issue I see is that the time to MM might double, but it might be worth it. It's a much more feasible solution than educating the players or forcing 'skillbased' MM onto players.

10 game losing streak and you receive a Stink Badge, just to rub the salt in?
-
NO radar wouldn't be worth much if it only was effective in the open. 9km range.. if you're spotted in the open, you usually have to move away and dodge incoming fire. Perma radar could be useful, but I think I like the ability to ambush in cruisers too, as well as in dds. You just need to be more aware than before when playing dds.

Doing the same thing over and over again might have something to do with it. Watching the same thing over and over again might also make it less interesting over time... I think he's doing what he can with the content he got. It's to be expected. -
It's a bit odd, I agree, but given how cruisers have to played at the moment, they need island protection if they're close enough to use radar. You must have noticed cruisers being a bit vulnerable within 10-12 km when playing Pensacola and New Orleans.
-
I don't see much point in the idea. 3 game win or lose streaks are too common. I think most people wouldn't take notice of a system that rewarded it in this way. I don't get the third point.. the exception. If anything, it could be interesting to see a more achievements for strange occurrences. ...otoh people might play even worse to get those.

Any suggestions what kind of objective could replace it? Caps are in the centre of the maps for a reason.
-
I was against the ability to radar through islands while playing dds. Now, playing cruisers a lot more, I don't mind it. It's not an engine flaw, it's a design decision, which I'm okay with. It could be improved, but so could smoke and the whole visible - invisible mechanic.

Yea, maybe he just enjoys the game and winning? Maybe he doesn't care about maintaining the WR. -

Fastest way to grind to Tier IX / X?
loppantorkel replied to Hannibalurg's topic in General Discussion
What? Why? -
So? They/you can pick whatever you want, but if you're bad you'll lose even more in 'competitive'. Looking at the threads about people losing too many games suggests people don't want want to lose in long stretches. Bot-mode might not be the option those people are looking for. The people who doesn't care about their WR... how would you force them to watch tutorials and learn to play? I've watched one or two of WGs videos. I play because I want enjoyment. How much do you imagine the potatoes will care about educational videos?
-
Maybe if they divided Random games into Casual and Competitive. You just pick the kind of game you're looking for. When mediocre, or good, players lose in Competitive - they can always pick Casual, where the game might be less stressful and maybe a bit easier. No difference in MM, just two different pools where players themselves choose what they're looking for.
-
Can you continue playing or do you need to sell something? Do you need a payment plan?

Switching Captains on non premium ships if you bought Doubloon camo!
loppantorkel replied to Aschwell's topic in General Discussion
Looks like it could do both here, which is fine. It would increase the value of the premium camos. Maybe WG thinks the price corresponds to the value now. If so, they might increase the price for the added value. I'd be more tempted to buy premium camo for fletcher if they would implement this at the current price. It's a good idea, but I think it's a value-price question in the end. -
You should always save a report for such occasions
-
Unless you carried your team and your team still lost, I'd probably report it too. I really hate those those sweeping statements that you're above the noobs around you I suggest being more specific in your criticism. If you can't - maybe just keep it tactical or not chat at all.
-
Maybe WG should introduce a more competitive group and one causal in high tiers. When there's enough players, one choose what one wants to play. I mean, it's a game in the end. Potatoes want to play yamas and tirpsises too

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
loppantorkel replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
4 straight losses in Balti and Des Moines. Tries 'go to' ship to turn the trend - another three straight losses I'm done for the weekend. Time for a short break even. Premium time for a week makes the game less fun. -
If you don't break even you shouldn't play tier 10s? that's harsh.
-
I like it. I can potato in tier 10 and still make money Only thing I've bought so far - Two 5k camos edit: lol at OP fail. Not sure how.
