Atlanta was on sale the other day.. maybe that could have been something. A very light tier 7 cruiser.

I've got RPF on one ship - the Gearing and I don't miss it on Benson, Fletcher, Atlanta, NO, Balti or Des Moines. I don't think I'd perform better with RPF on those. I don't mind when it's used against me either. You almost get 50% info in return when RPF is used against you. It hasn't changed the game much at all. I still don't see the reason for why RPF was introduced.. just that it was easier implemented if it was already there.. I think they're trying things out to maybe, if it doesn't break the game, prepare the gameplay/meta for possible submarines somewhere down the line. They're grasping to make every new line of ships interesting, but in turn making some old lines redundant. If they could implement another element to the game - one that would draw loads of people to the game, I think they would. Finding subs? RPF

I'm stuck on Yorck because at the moment it's a very boring ship. It might have been okay a year or so ago, but now it's just a ship to grind past. Maybe that's the point of the ship, but I'm not sure the Hipper will be any better. To play cruisers effectively nowadays, you most often need smoke or radar - or both, and that too might soon be countered. Is anyone enjoying the German cruiser line now? If or when the British radar bbs are coming, how is Yorck/Hipper to be played effectively? Kite and annoy bbs? I think WG needs to introduce another gimmick into the game.

I fully understand the cruiser is playable. Doesn't mean it's practically obsolete in today's meta. Maybe Yorck has its audience who love to play it. If so, there's no issue, but I suspect most people find these cruisers have lost their appeal with the introduction of other ships and changes to the game. ..or maybe I'm too picky... Could be that too.

...so it's the moral integrity of WG sales department that stands between us and a premium bb potato flood? In all honesty, I'd put bbs on sale too if I were them. It's not on summer sales the meta should be fixed.

I bought it, good price and the ship seems fun. Thanks for the heads up, I would've missed it if it weren't for the topic. I like that they've started selling bonuses for 30 wins and such and would've jumped on that deal if it weren't for the 30 day premium account. It's vacation and I'd feel a slight pressure to play the game when it's premium time, so I'm staying clear of any premium time.

I wouldn't mind it. I got triggered into a crapfest a moment ago. I'm done for the night either way.

I don't think it's a gameplay feature, but in the last patch or so it's become tougher to see AP shots in certain maps and weather conditions. I can keep looking for them and still barely see a hint. Maybe make them more visible? I'd like to continue not using mods, but this is annoying and makes cruiser games more difficult.

I'm not colourblind and I hope my eyesight isn't deteriorating too fast. It's just the AP on a too bright background that makes it difficult. I doubt it's WGs intention to make it tougher for those not using mods. I think it's gotten worse.

fire arcs for the fun of it? It's not super effective to spam HE over islands.

Problem of course is - why sail a Des Moines like you do if there's a good chance you'll encounter a bb with all the tools you have and no citadels.

It sounds pretty bad, but these bbs will be most effective when played aggressively, which one could hope changes the meta a bit from the camping bbs. It could work as a good counter to the smoked up RN cruisers and kutusovs in high tier. Radar cruisers can deal with those too under the right circumstances, but on other occasions there a huge risk involved in moving into radar range against smoke. I don't like radars on bbs, but maybe there's a greater plan beyond our comprehension

wth Corvi.. are you doing this for likes? edit: I checked your profile.. you got 33% WR today out of 12 battles. How does this match up? edit 2: ..and you got 10 Cleveland games 40% WR, yet managed 8 losses in Cleveland yesterday... Are you photoshopping these?

I've played Bismarck a number of games since the event and I don't think bbs are worth it, not even Missouri. I'd save it for something better/more enjoyable.

Submarines... DDs are being countered to extinction as bb radars are coming and cvs being more frequently used.

Maybe add mines and depth charges. I doubt you get many people to play this class otherwise. BBs shouting they need support from you while being in the open, shelled from all sides. I don't see why people would be drawn to this..
