I remember Farras video on Lexis AP bombs, he said that its like Big Es, and apparantly dont do well vs higher tier ships. But eitherways, since I value DoT effects over one strike damage, I dont mind HE. Besides, these are AP Bombs so being a support role, for me in a CV that is hunting DDs, is not fulfilled with AP Bombs. If I get uptiered, I always strike DDs as their AA is weaker, so HE would do the job. Besides, AP Bombs are still RNG Related, so the aim may not be but the damage will...

Yet Im gonna go for HE Bombs cause I value DoT effects over one strike damage. Besides, I hear these dont do well against tier 10 ships?

Thanks :P I finally got her, sadly her Maiden Voyage might be 2-3 days from now since uhh Im in Debt (dunno well 130k I only have now Boy is Tier 8 expensive even on discount) But shes beautiful, especially with her F4Us I need to retrain the commander tho but hopefully one good battle shud do it.

Ive put that into consideration and also have checked it out, I know Lexington and Midway can be seen from Lightyears away but I dont have enough points for CE just yet so Ill have to make do. But I never knew the Hull upgrade reduces detectability....

Probably by tommorrow, I might have Lexington in my port, I need 1 million more Credits. So I free Xp`d the Fighters. Probably gonna get the TBs, then DBs (HE) and the hull later Tell me if this is correct Tho Im rather happy

Really? I rather like that one, but then again, im more of a person who pays more attention to the tune rather the lyrics and such. For me personally, anything with drums, or sort of Rock in general is my favourite, Im very picky . Counter another raid is also my favourite, Its got a nice tune, has a whole lotta choir, and makes me think. Why do the villains get such epic tunes.... But I also like this one and This one AND This Tune just for the heck of it Its just like all these songs are made with an intention of portraying something from the character or a battle. Theres a whole lotta feeling, maybe its only me. -

Now AS at Tier 5, well thats fine cause no actual opposition since strafes are not there, but any skilled player at tier 6+ can overtime, outplay you. AS Decks for Japanese CVs arent all that great, sure you get 3 fighters but thats only 5 per sqaud and you can easily get outplayed by any competetive CV captain. AS Decks, especially for the Americans arent worth it whatsoever. 1) Strike Damage only comes from RNG Related DBs. 2) The reload and refuel time for the Fighters from tier 6 onwards is rather long. imo, you leave your team at the hands of the enemy CV rather than in your hands, why? well the enemy CV player can just exhaust your fighters of all their Ammo and you will have to send them back for rearming. now the time it takes for Rearming for American fighters is around 42s and in that 42s, if its a Japanese CV, he could technically sink one of your ships. And to deal damage to the enemy, well you would have to pray that they used their Damage Con if your DBs are to be effective. Now American AS vs Japanese AS? Japanese always wins, Ill tell you why. Now sure you have 3x5 squads, if played right, you can take out the enemy CV planes rather efficiently. Now related to strike power? The Japanese excell at that. At tiers 6-8 youre sure to have at least 1 torpedo Squadron, so with that, there are unlimited posibilities for a kill and at tier 9 onwards I think you get 2 Torps. But the reason why no one uses AS on Japanese CVs is because of their well balanced loadouts which unlike the americans, had all the necessities of a Team player. Now the American CVs imo are better with these loadouts, 112 for Ranger and Lexi is far better than going 111 where you lack air control and damage if against a Japanese CV. The reason why people get so flustered when they face an AS deck is that they try to shoot down your fighters and beleive me, Ive gotten flustered like that SO MANY Times in Hiryuu. But vsan American AS deck, the only viable thing to do is exhaust their fighters of Ammo, the sooner they go back to the carrier, the better but thankfully, that wont be needed now since American CVs have finally got better loadouts. You probably outplayed others since they got flustered and their main thought that went through their head was SHOOT DOWN THOSE FIGHTERS. And tehy came to you with their aircraft and blah blah blah you know what happens.

But You should always move a little closer, But it depends, move up only if your team has gained control over that area or position and you know is safe else just stay around were you spawned, moving ofcourse

I think all old USN CV AS players are moping at the loss of their beloved AS Flight Decks. Ive seen SO MANY AS Hiryuus against me in Ranger. And the number of Saipans has also increased suddenly. Its either people grinding out commander points or again, using AS. But have all the weekend teams come over so early? SO MANY DAMN LOSSES!!! (I cant make Pepsi Cola do her best)

RANGER STRONK!!!! Im In love with her dang it :P I was against a nub AS Hiryuu, JUST 400HP TO THE KRAKEN WHY!!!. Remember to always hit all your torps, I was one torp missed...... But a really good battle nonetheless

So USN CVs Are a succsessful Change on WGs Part. Theyve done a good job with the Flight Decks imo. Ive gotten Ranger, and shes really fuckin fun now. I feel like Im sealclubbing at times cause in her own tier bracket she actually is strong (Provided Enemy CV is a nub). So For higher tier CVs, Is teh AP bombs worth getting or is the HE bombs still more reliable? But Im not really rushing with Ranger cause I love this ship tbf. well AS Ranger usually were people who didnt know Shiet and were (At times) easy to outplay. But I know a Saipan and damn are they a nightmare for an IJN CV (Hiryuu was mine, still was able to hold my ground) With Ranger, Ive not seen much, I remember One who I was able to clickfigth his fighters and actually win (Yknow the upgrade for Fighter HP and Ammo) And yes I did strafe those fighters before the fight. (IM NOT A NUB)

Oh my. *edited*. Playing AS on a Jap carrier shows you do not know how to play them. these new configs for American CVs require skill. I have the Ranger and Im really enjoying the setup Its far better than 111 or 202 or heck even 013. To actually play CVs properly, you need some skill. 5,6,7,8 are the best imo. Indys still the same, Bogues became better, Ranger and Lexi became 10 TIMES better than they were. And PS. Hiryuu with AS is just a noob move. Get the 222 loadout. well all mustve beein in tier 8+ Murican CVs trying out the new AP bombs and making German BB players lives miserable. speaking of which, I did the BB challenge (Get 3 citadels) in Minekaze (got 10) how? well yknow how weak the Kuma class boilers are n stuff and close range shenanigans
