So the idea is to have an option for the rocket planes to break off and set up an instant fighter area. The timer for the patrol will be shorter than the consumable but the fighters will instantly be able to wipe an enemy carrier's squadron. This will bring back CV vs CV game play and it will also (in my opinion) re-balance CVs. Bombing of enemy ships should not happen until after the carrier in question has gained air superiority. So how this will work is for the rocket planes the 2 key will be to switch to the machine guns. When in this mode clicking the mouse will make the planes go into a run to allow you to catch up to an enemy squadron. Releasing will break off the element of planes (so the 2-3 and 4 in Kaga's case) and they will act like a fighter consumable. So the planes will break off and instantly jump on an enemy strike squadron. So how the fighter consumable works, you call them in and the fighters show up seconds later usually too late to really be anything but a no-fly-zone. With this the carrier will be able to be a threat to the other carrier. It also will shoot the Carrier indomitable from a terrible bombing CV to a god tier air group killer.
