Wenn Du gezielt ein bestimmtes Schiff haben möchtest, ist es am günstigsten es sich direkt zu kaufen. Man kann eventuell auf ein Sonderangebot warten. Mit den Kisten kann es auch passieren, dass Du 2 Jahre Premium-Konto und 500 Tannenzapfen-Tarnungen bekommst und kein einziges Schiff.

Ah ok. Well if you die you rely on your team to carry you. That's not enough to reach high ranks within a reasonable amount of games. To know how to survive is included in 'learn how to play your ship'.

The only realistic addition of subs to this game would be in operations. That's the only mode where WG can try crazy things like Schnellboots @ Dunkirk.

Everybody gets the same random teams. I only reached ranks 15 (I started at the end of the season) and 5 in my first two seasons. I couldn't get higher than 5 because I didn't have the ships and I didn't have enough skill so I just stopped playing. If you want to reach the top in a healthy amount of battles you need to learn how to play your ship. Just play as far as you can get and take it as a learning experience.

The first ranks are very newb friendly, you can try it out so you'll know if you like to play this mode at all. It's pretty easy to get to rank 15. Rank 5 is reachable if you know how to play your ship. This rank is also a breaking point where the meta usually changes. Players who reached rank 1 last season start at rank 16, you won't meet them. The average skill level is considerably lower in the last two - three weeks of the season which makes it more frustrating if you can't carry battles. Tips: Set a goal (rank 15 or 10). Keep playing if it's still enjoyable and you feel you can reach higher ranks (and the rewards are worth it for you). Take a break from time to time, especially if you get losing streaks. Some people tend to get frustrated in ranked (because they don't follow my second tip), be prepared. Try to keep a cool head and avoid any toxic chat behavior. Last time it was tier 8 I played the Benson, I think I will try it again. Charles Martel and Chapayev could be fun in DD heavy MM.

HE shells can only pen or shatter. AP shells can pen, shatter, bounce or overpenetrate. Citadel hits are special penetrations. Though the ribbons are bugged I have never seen an overpen of HE shells. What I have seen was multiple BB HE hits on a DD with 0 damage. The DD's modules can soak it all up, you brake his engine, guns, torp tubes and he keeps going. Plus saturation is a thing which makes HE even less reliable. That's why it's better to fire BB AP at DDs. Either you damage him severly or you bring him down from 100 to 0 with one full salvo.

People have been asking for clan flags, clan emblems and other stuff, player emblems are a step in this direction. I'm pretty sure this will be optional just like other cosmetics (ARP, HSF, Dragons) are. And if not, just don't stare at it. Even if you and me don't care much for this stuff, many people do. People spend a lot of money for cosmetics (HSF Graf Spee, Prinz Eugen) in this and in other games, I would say they do care a lot. I'm glad WG is listening to us, not every change has to be beneficial for me personally.

Yes, it was. People love cosmetics and if it is like it was with collections (you get a collection item extra, not replacing a container item) there will be no problem.

It depends on the MM, DDs can't solo carry all the time. Battles with more than 3 DDs, CVs and radar + BB AP are a DD's nightmare. Top tier BBs aren't blamed for being top tier BBs, usually they play way too passively using their cruisers and DDs as meat shields. It's easy to get out of position with a BB that's why most of them suck. CVs are blamed by people who never played a CV themselves and think you can be everywhere with 8 squadrons within 2 seconds. I don't see a trend of DDs being the ultimate class to decide battles. The trend I see is a player base that is bad or just doesn't care and that is getting worse every day. If you would like to know which class to play to carry most games it's an easy answer: Learn how to play carriers and get to superunicum levels.

The ribbons are buggy, you get overpens with 10k damage, pens with 0 damage, 1 pen on DD for 6-8k (= 2 pens). You aimed a bit too high. If you look at his waterline you can see that he is sailing slightly towards you (your pic is 1 second after the shot, don't know if you moved your aim). Pro-tip: Use the minimap to see where he is going. (Btw can you make it even smaller so it is even more useless on your screen?) So instead of aiming above the waterline you should have aimed a bit below for citadels. Don't forget that Iowa and Montana have lowered citadels nowadays. All in all you can't complain about the damage for this salvo. I had an interesting salvo on a Montana yesterday as well though the outcome was slightly different:

WG disagrees sadly. They rather remove strafes and manual attacks from tier 4 and 5 CVs and never tell you about them. Yes, CV players need help the most but I don't think there is anything you could do for them. Most CV players shouldn't play at all, they should rather learn how to play them first: Watch Farazelleth's CV guide and learn manual attacks in COOP before you go into randoms. The biggest problem is most people don't care if they suck. Even if they ruin every battle they play a CV for 11 other players, they just don't care about others as long as they have their own fun.

Why only CVs? I would say there is a huge skill gap with all classes of ships. CV is just the class which shows the skill gap most obviously. Tutorials are needed for every class and every new player. Ideally they would have been implemented before launching on steam. (OK, there is one beginner mission but it only teaches the most basic basics, press WASD and press LMB.) I agree that single-player operations would be a good way to go. Only WG knows why tutorials are such a low priority for them.

Sometimes the user interface is bugged. You can get your aim back by pressing the Ctrl-key, maybe you'll need to do it a couple of times.

There is no skill-based matchmaking (outside of clan battles). It's most likely confirmation bias. The only thing the matchmaker takes into account is your ship and the tier.

This isn't true, you can play Rocket League with console players just fine. Sure they are kids who don't know how to lose and ragequit most of the time, but it works technically. I don't know if I would like to play WoWS with a controller. There's just not enough buttons. And I'm not even talking about carriers.

Deine Signatur 'funktioniert' nicht im dunklen Skin, da musst Du Dir was einfallen lassen. Die Mitteilungen und Ankündigungen nerven wirklich auf dem Smartphone. Meistens ist der Akku alle bevor man sich zum Forum durchgekämpft hat. (Kann leichte Übertreibungen enthalten.) Eine Option zum Ausblenden gibt es nur für das Forum und den Entwicklerbereich darunter, scheint also möglich zu sein.

I would say using a TRB that early is a waste because most enemy DDs have even longer reloads. When you attack a cap your strongest weapon is your concealment and your torpedoes reload early enough.

Over 200k damage well, but not well enough for the last star. Yorck is a beast for this OP with the good AP, decent HE, good AA and amazing torps. It's even quite tanky when you angle. Your Ganja Mother's guns seemed to be very strong against those low tier cruisers, you citadeled them to pieces before my guns had a chance to reload. I was lucky enough to get the 5 stars later with a really good team. They spread out on the flanks with 1-2 cruisers each and the main force went in the middle with the convoy. Good luck to you, you'll need it on PTS. ;)

If you can, definitely get the Cleveland-Camo. You pay for a tier 6 camo and you will have a tier 6 camo (Pensacola) and a tier 8 camo after the split. The Atlanta is my favorite ship. However, you need to know how to use islands to your advantage. There are DDs with more armor than this thing. (Maybe not really but it sure feels like it.)
