Ich spiele beide gern, auch beide mit den 8km F3. Damals habe ich die Yugumo behalten, weil sie sich anders spielte als die Shima wegen 5.5km vs. 5.9km Aufdeckung. Heute sind sie beide ähnlich. Für mich ist der Unterschied nur, dass meine Shima Nebel hat und meine Yugumo hat dafür 16er Salven.

Wenn man richtig spielt ist man als Kreuzer quasi immun. T-Virus 2 kostet nur 22500, alleine rumsegeln vermeiden, nicht zu nah an gegnerische Flak fahren. CVs sind mächtig, aber nicht so mächtig dass es egal wäre was das Team macht. Eine Midway in Ranked ist da schon eine Spur böser.

The Yamato did better than you. Maybe he shot the DD, maybe he shot the cruisers, maybe he got a lot of base defense ribbons, maybe he capped himself, maybe he tanked a lot, maybe he got a lot of spotting damage. Or maybe he just did more damage than you because he survived for longer. If you did 200k only to BBs that's not worth much. Stop playing to not lose a star, better start playing to gain a star: Focus on radar cruisers and DDs.

Not only potatoes being potatoes. Harekaze needs at least a 14 point captain for the 100mm guns to work. Experienced players get to rank 10 fast, they have too few battles below rank 10 to balance out the potatoes.

Low tier battles are really hard to carry sometimes because your team dies too fast. That's no surprise, they just started playing the game just like you and they don't know how to play yet. 10 battles sounds like much but it isn't in this game. The win rate has no meaning until you have played 500 (or better 1000) battles. The more you play the more all the advantages and disadvantages (low tier vs. high tier, ship compositions, experienced players vs. newbs, etc.) will even out. There is only one way to win more often in this game (besides divisioning with good players): Git gud. Read guides here on the forum, watch videos, ask us if you have specific questions, watch replays of your battles and try to find your mistakes. Playing in division with experienced players and with voice comms can be very helpful as well. Defeats suck though it depends how the battle goes. I enjoy playing a hard-fought battle where it can go both ways to the very end even when I lose. On the other hand nothing is more boring than a victory where the enemy runs away from the start and you don't get to do much before they have 0 points and the battle ends.

The biggest difference between the 406 and 420 is the reload, so the 406 is the better choice. I still prefer the 420 because they do more damage against angled targets where the 406 tend to bounce (and I don't like min-maxed cookie-cutter builds).

Ich hatte mal eine Shima-Runde mit 299k Spotting und sonst nicht viel außer Cappen. Ich hatte ~1000 XP und war im unteren Mittelfeld. Was lernen wir daraus? Wirf Torpedos und nebele Dich ein, damit Dein Team Dir keinen Schaden klaut.

I liked playing her, I had full survivability build with concealment. Use the tankiness to absorb damage, back off to heal up, rinse and repeat. The size and handling don't make it easy so you have to be spot on with your timing. I liked the guns. Though the dispersion is wonky they leave a mark when they hit. For target selection I focused on BBs and slightly angled cruisers. The GK is a lot of fun, best no sh given push BB. I prefer the 420s with this one.

Das wäre ein bisschen viel. Ich würde eher erwarten, dass wir eine gewisse Menge Elite-XP geschenkt bekommen oder in Missionen erspielen können. Letzteres hatten wir mal, ich kann mich nur nicht mehr erinnern wann das war. Nicht nur keiner verliert, alle bekommen etwas geschenkt. Viele (besonders non-Premiumkontospieler) werden sich über mehrere Millionen Credits freuen. Leute, die schon 19er Kapitäne haben, können jetzt anfangen sich die paar XP für die kommende Umschulung zu erspielen. Es ist alles eine Frage der richtigen Vorbereitung, die nötigen Informationen haben wir ja früh genug bekommen. Ich freue mich auf den Split.

That will be the camo for the new tier 8 Cleveland which we will maybe get in the second round of the PT. It wouldn't make sense to make a camo for a tier 6 that will be gone in 2 weeks.

Ich denke mal das liegt daran, dass viele lieber tier 5-7 spielen und sich jetzt nur für Ranked in ihre Zehner setzen. Sie kennen ihr Schiff nicht und sie treten regelmäßig gegen Leute an, die CBs auf hohem Niveau gespielt haben.

NA is different though. I can't recall when I had a random battle come down to a 2 vs. 2 on EU. These are pretty frequent on NA, for some reason they like to throw away their ship when all they need to do to win is survive for 1 minute. Either they never look at the points or they don't care about winning, they just play to see sh blow up. My first season was with Kiev at tier 7. When I hit rank 5 I played a couple of battles, failed horribly and stopped playing. I realized I didn't have the right ships and I wasn't experienced enough. I didn't want to be a weight for the poor sods who would get into my team. I thought to myself rank 5 is pretty good for my first season, I can stop here. Sadly some players lack the self-perception or the patience to wait until they are ready. Others want to achieve rank 1 at all costs for some reason, the current record holder on EU got to R1 in 641 battles. Another one is at R6 with 884 battles (I had this player in my team a couple of times, it's not a good sign that I remember his name).

Sometimes it's annoying, sometimes it's amazing. However, it is important to know when to take a break, the season is long enough for that. The mode isn't perfect, maybe it will never be no matter how you would change it. It's not easy to make a solo mode work in a team-based game. I wouldn't play ranked if I didn't enjoy it. This season I got owned by a couple of actually good Des Moines players, it made me think more about my positioning. My 63% DM solo winrate in randoms didn't mean anything in this competitive mode / situation, apparently you don't learn much from clubbing the average tier 10 player. I enjoy learning lessons like these and getting better at the game. There is only one way of having more fun playing ranked that I can think of: Play ranked on NA. Reasons: You don't care. The overall skill level is lower which automatically makes your personal skill level higher. You will laugh at throws that you would never dream of being possible. It's fun to read the chat. Battles like these:

RPF isn't death of DDs (unless they get RPF-torped without ever being detected). RPF makes DDs more boring to play and it is extremely overpowered against uninformed players (= the majority). Not every change is good. Remember Bastion? Battle Royale mode would be exclusively BBs. Or would you like to play Pensacola or any soviet DD at max. 6 km range? It might work as a class-specific mode but it would get old quickly imo. Maybe for April fools or Halloween. And no, nothing will stop campy players from camping, that's just who they are. I'd say let's wait and see, there is nothing to really talk about. Just some information about some ideas in a very early stage of planning.

Yeah, it was unbelievable. I capped B on Hotspot in Minotaur and got shot only once. I didn't get to do much and we hit 1000 points rather quickly, there wasn't much fun in this battle for both sides. (Unless we count your BBs who apparently had great fun playing the range game.)

Bei mir war es der Windows Gamemodus, hier die Antwort des Supports die mir geholfen hat: Also Gamemodus in der Registry abstellen, bei der WoWS.exe die Vollbildoptimierungen deaktivieren (Eigenschaften/Kompatibilität) und die preferences.xml löschen. Mit letzterem werden alle Einstellungen zurückgesetzt, eventuell vorher einen Screenshot von den Einstellungen machen. (Und alle BBs haben standardmäßig HE geladen. Wenn man das vergisst und die HE-Salve auf den Kreuzer geht ... )

Nein, es macht keinen Sinn. Es führt nur dazu das ein Feuer mehr Schaden macht und die extra-SP sind mit einer einzelnen Penetration weg. Für drei Punkte kann man stattdessen die Feuerdauer verkürzen, mehr Feuer legen (gerade bei der Zao Pflicht) oder immun gegen Torpedos werden. Inspektor (Superintendent) ist bei allen Kreuzern mit Heilung sowieso Pflicht.

Maybe you just need to learn how to play République? She has great guns on a crêpe crappy platform. I like her and I also like the French cruisers. You have to be very careful with your timing when you push in and when you pull out with the French ships. They are excellent flankers and they can react quickly to the flow of the battle (if you can read it).
