    So one Stalingrad wasn't enough? IMO one ship with magic shells that citadel BBs and CLs alike at all ranges is one too much in this game, we don't need even more of them. I agree with the general gist of your post. Two of the reasons why we see so many russian ships is the archives are easier to access for WG than those from other nations and most of the ships are paper which gives a lot of freedom for development. It's a lot harder to make ships that actually existed without upsetting too many people so it takes more time until they are ready.

    You don't have a shipbucket? I thought all 55+% players have a shipbucket. Get one! If only for the extremely satisfying feeling when you time the splash perfectly with a devastating strike. For me it is the amount of players at high tiers who don't have the faintest idea how to play this game, die in seconds and turn most battles into unfun stomps.

    Need buying advice

    Can't recommend Indianapolis unless you would like to learn by feeling pain. Radar range is awesome, gun reload and armour are not. Atlanta is a lot of fun and workable with both captains. (I chose to have an extra Captain with AFT for her because I hate the short range.) I don't have the Boise but I love my Helena to bits. That ship with extra heal sounds like a good choice to me.

    The 7 km torps travel at 65 knots, the 10.5 km go 49 knots. I always preferred the fast torps, the short range is workable because there isn't many radars around and the Sims is very maneuverable. Also, most enemies can't fit the new module because it's tier 8+. It affects high tier ships like Black and others mostly.
  9. Na ja, ich hatte schon den einen oder anderen CV-Spieler, der mein Schlachtschiff nicht getroffen hat. Ohne Autodrops ist es für manche schwer mit Tier 10 CVs über 10k Schaden zu kommen.

    Und was macht man wenn er gar keine Osteuropäer an Bord hat? Spaß beiseite, wenn ein Gegner im Sichtfeld des eingenebelten Ziels aufgeklärt ist, kannst Du Dir seine Zielaufschaltung 'borgen' um ohne Streu-Malus auf das Ziel zu schießen. Damit sind Dev-Strikes deutlich wahrscheinlicher nach meiner Erfahrung.

    Take my stats with a pinch of salt, BBs are my worst class of the three I play due to my potato aim. Also, I run meme builds like full IFHE secondary GK (survivability build the first 50-70 battles). I tend to not play many battles with new ships until WG un-OP them. I might make an exception just to find out what will happen. True, a citadel nerf might be enough though a slight turret traverse nerf wouldn't hurt much either imo. And I'm sure it will come once enough people have bought doubloons to convert free xp.

    I haven't seen many games of the last KOTS but I can remember what Kremlin did in the finale. I heard Kremlin is the meta in this CB season so far, haven't played myself yet. The only situations where Kremlin felt situational for me was when I made a major boo-boo. And it is really hard to punish this ship for small mistakes, you can get away with a lot. Especially when you compare it to Yamato or Conqueror.

    Accuracy is too good too often at range, I blapped a fair amount of cruisers and BBs not only with Kremlin, also with other Ru BBs. 457 mm with 30 seconds 180°-turn time is ridiculously OP. The bow armour is straight up bs. Unlike all other Ru BBs Kremlin's side armour is not as easy to citadel as one might think (Izmail has a notorious weakness there). Compared to the other tech-tree tier 10s it is too strong. Guess why it is the only reasonable pick for competitive modes?

    You certainly did. You and the Hinden + Shima division were the only ones who really tried and turned this into an exciting battle. Don't know about the HE-farming Thunderer ... if he focused a bit more on cruisers and DDs and used his HP before the battle was decided this could have gone the other way.

    Get rid of Epicenter on Ice Islands

    'Take one for the team', 'do almost nothing'. The one who keeps the team in the game stares at an island for 10 - 15 minutes and gets f all XP as a reward while his spawn-camping damage-farming BBs who let you get flanked by the enemy get all the fun and rewards because they didn't give a s about the victory conditions. That's good design right there! The desert map works a bit better because there is some space to push flanks while it is very risky to do that on ice. Those islands push you uncomfortably close to the map border.

    And while you are at it remove Tears of The Cruisers Epicenter as well. This mode works in low and mid tiers only. With the ship additions to high tier in the last year (457 mm, T10-Kutuzov, CVs) no one wants to push anywhere. Players don't know where to go, same like in standard battle. 3/4 Caps give them a small hint at least.

    Let's not be dishonest here and look at his solo stats. 54% with CVs isn't that impressive, not bad but nothing special. Would you say he played worthy of a 60+% CV player in that game against you? Most people in this thread have no problem to make their DDs work in CV battles and that's not really the issue. We just don't like the extreme asymmetry of the CV vs the other classes. They get all the crutches they don't really need. Those are only there so less skilled players can get some nice numbers, otherwise they wouldn't play them and CV player numbers would plummet. It's like with the Smolensk or pre-nerf Conqueror. There are stronger ships but it is no fun to play against them. Somehow people like to have counterplay. Weird, isn't it?

    No ,he's not. The following two sentences are important here. With those in mind he was in line of fire. I have plenty of opportunities to torpedo enemies without risking ff. It is a question of good positioning most of the time. They are still random players even if it is coop. If they are bots you know exactly what they will do. Randoms suicide even more often in coop because it is a race for damage as the battles tend to end early. We do know randoms make crazy decisions and they aren't the most intelligent people more often than not. The less predictable their moves are the more risky is a launch. Knowing this the correct conclusion is to be extra careful with torpedoes imo. WG, others here and me disagree with you. If your mind is set so be it, I can live with that. After all, it's only a game. I just hope I will never be in line of fire of your fireworks on New Years Eve.

    Most of the time no, I just hold my fire. I get into a good position where I can't hit friendlies before I launch. So what if the opportunity is gone? With a hit chance of 5 - 12 % they will most likely miss anyway. It's not worth the risk. OK, second line is not the perfect term for this situation. However, he is in the line of fire before you launch. Ships move, especially when they have enemies close to them. Launch in a way they can't reach them even with speed boost and 180s or don't launch at all. You know how randoms are, sometimes they make weird choices. Sometimes I would think 'it would be stupid of him to go into that cruiser's hydro range, he will surely not go there' and then he did just that and my torps killed him just before the enemy would have killed him anyway. I accepted it as my mistake and learned to expect these moves from randoms. Sometimes they will just suicide for no reason. There is no way to put the blame on the recipient of torpedoes, it's always the launcher's fault. Even when the recipient makes a suicide move. In that case you can just wait a couple of seconds for him to die and your line of fire is clear.

    The issue is: You think to yourself. Why don't you ask him beforehand if you are clear to send torps his way? And wait for his confirmation before you pull the trigger? He is between two cruisers, his counter-class, maybe he is hydroed. He has a lot to worry about and he learned from playing many WoWS battles that he can never count on his team mates. So he has to find a way to get out of that situation by himself. Now you send torps right at him on top of all of his worries. I mean, where should he go? Out from island cover into the hands of an enemy cruiser? I would prefer to take your torps in that situation as well because this is the only way to show people like you that you are doing it wrong. We are all here to do damage to get credits and xp. Why should you be able to do damage while he has to run from your torps? Isn't that selfish from you? He is much closer, taking much more risk than you and now you are trying to say he should hide while you do all the damage? Hell no. If you take a calculated risk and to be clear you don't risk anything for yourself, you risk the HP or ship of your team mate here, you should take the consequences like a man. Even if those torps would save his life if he did exactly what you would like him to do. As long as you don't talk to him and he answers 'ok' you cannot assume he can read your mind. It is very rare that people get the choice to take a torpedo only to troll you, it is even rarer that they actually do it. If you would like to substitute the word 'often' into that sentence that only means you send risky torps too often. Grow a pair and go into the first line and you will never have to worry about torping a team mate.

    To be fair, you can get the win in COOP so no captain points are needed. Also, experienced players have enough elite xp to buff any captain to 10 points from the get go if needed. Anyone who was thinking about buying this ship can take a test drive and make an informed decision.

    It is listed in-game in the achievements tab and in the wiki, it is missing in the achievements tab on wows.eu. Not that it really matters, the flooding nerf that was called a buff by Conway is my concern (just like they called the radar buff from 11.7 to 12 km and longer duration a 'nerf').

  25. The only way to disable this icon is to uninstall. And from my experience of reinstalling this game 3-4 times I must praise Wargaming (), it works fast and flawlessly.
