That happens sometimes but not in this battle, the purples didn't get any xp just like everyone else. These short battles with multiple suicides were rare three years ago, nowadays they are almost normal. And no matter which side I'm on, I hate them. They are only a waste of time.

Mach Dir keinen Kopf, es gibt viele Anfänger vor allem in Bronze. Es ist unmöglich abzusteigen, überlege gut bevor Du nach Silber aufsteigst. Welches Schiff kommt darauf an was Deine Motivation ist. Am wichtigsten ist es dass Du es gerne spielst. Wenn Dir gewinnen wichtig ist, nimm Schiffe mit denen man viel Impact hat, also Zerstörer oder Zerstörer-Konter wie Radarkreuzer oder Fiji. Dann geht es darum entscheidend ins Spiel einzugreifen ohne dabei sein Schiff wegzuwerfen, aber auch nicht ewig passiv herumzustehen / -fahren. Ansonsten mach was Du willst, ist ja nur wie kleines Random. Im Zweifel testen ob ein Schiff für Dich funktioniert, wirste schon merken.

Bin mit der Bayern besser klar gekommen als mit der PEF, ist aber ein ich-Problem. Wurde oft genug von PEFs verkloppt, ansonsten weiß ich nicht viel über diese Schiffe. Auf 6 würde ich die Sekundäre ignorieren oder höchstens zum Verkürzen der Ladezeit der Hauptbatterie nutzen (4 Punkte Skill). Gneisenau und Scharn sind da schon interessanter, vor allem wegen der Panzerung und den drei dickeren Sek-Rohren auf beiden Seiten. Wenn ich keine wows-Pause machen würde, würde ich meine Farragut nehmen, mit 15.3 km Reichweite 7ern auf den Sack gehen ist bestimmt spaßig und bringt gut xp. Bei den Kreuzern gibt es viele Optionen, je nachdem worauf man Lust hat. Pepsi, Perth/Huang He, Leander, Nürnberg, etc. Mein Lieblings-BB wäre wohl Carpaccio aktuell, wenn es 6 sein müsste dann eher Dunkerque.

Sind sie auch nicht, der CV farmt einfach die ganze Zeit. Ist ein eher kleines Problem um das man sich später kümmern könnte, wenn überhaupt. Ich habe noch nie verstanden, warum manche Leute alles nur schwarz oder weiß sehen können und Leute entsprechend in Schubladen stecken.

Stimmt, aber man muss bedenken dass der CV gegen ein koordiniertes Team spielt. Der andere Effekt des CVs (kostenloses Spotting ab Minute 1) ist viel gravierender. Keine andere Schiffsklasse macht das Spiel so langweilig. Jemand, der keine Ahnung von American Football hat denkt dass die Spieler meist nur auf dem Rasen rumstehen und kann keinen Spielzug nachvollziehen. Wenn Du Dich für einen Sport nicht interessierst, musst Du ihn nicht schauen. Es zwingt Dich aber auch keiner ihn anderen madig zu machen.

Dafür braucht es keine Goliath, meine Yugumo ohne Nebel kommt auch gegen 95% der CV-Spieler klar. Darüber streitet hier aber auch keiner. Erzähl Mal lieber wie man eine Venezia/Goliath-Meta in den oberen CB-Ligen vermeidet, wenn CVs wiederkommen. Komischerweise sind Gefechte ohne CV strategisch und interessant (siehe kots, Verizon) und mit CV ist es ein langweiliges max Reichweiten Snipefest ohne Bewegung. Der 14km-Zyklon in der letzten CV-Saison hat ja wunderbar funktioniert. Kappa Fun fact: in der Saison habe ich sehr oft Schiffe beschossen, die ich nicht sehen konnte. Aber Minimap-Spotting für CVs kann man nicht testen, weil es dann so aussieht als ob man Wasser beschießt. WG's Wege sind unergründlich ...

Was sollen Fakten in dieser Diskussion, wo kommen wir da noch hin? Mach Mal lieber ein 1v1 gegen eine Goliath. Nicht nur berechenbar, der CV-Spieler steuert die Flakwolken des Gegners. Ich habe in keinem anderen Spiel so eine hirnrissige Designentscheidung gesehen.

While you are at it give it 12 km 40 seconds radar in a separate slot. And engine smoke generator so you can smoke up between smokes.

The AP is absurdly strong so just like with the Stalingrad you want to get broadsides to shoot at, even BBs. Create cross fires with your BBs or other AP-heavy cruisers. Have HE ready when a DD is about to get detected. You can hurt them if your accuracy doesn't go full wheelchair. If you want to do even more you need to predict what the enemy will do in the next 5 minutes and get yourself into position in advance so you can get into their broadsides. Tl;dr use the minimap. While doing all this you make sure the enemy doesn't get your broadside, just chill before you risk too much. You grow stronger the longer the battle lasts.

Afaik it's impossible. You can change the maximum replays saved to 3000 or any number you want in the engine_config.xml file, it's in wows/bin/<highest number>/res. Alternatively, you can make a copy of the file, edit the number and move it into res_mods folder. Be careful with game client updates, move the file into the highest version number folder before you start the game.

Du machst dir mehr Sorgen um WG's Image als WG selber. Und es ist ja nicht so als ob die Toxizität aus dem Nichts käme. Gäbe es nicht so eine schlechte Playerbase die sich einen Dreck um ihre Mitspieler schert, hätte keiner einen Grund toxisch zu sein. Außerdem scheint es ein beachtliches Publikum dafür zu geben ...

They are excellent DD supporters or even full-fledged DD substitutes when used with radar. It's no wonder that such high impact ships are perceived to be op. Tbh, Fiji's guns always felt a bit too strong (to be balanced with Belfast?), I expected this nerf sooner. I guess they will be nerfed bit by bit like Jutland and Daring until the spreadsheet is happy. Another way to deal with this would be to teach the pepegas not to show broadside 24/7 but I guess that's impossible.

Verstehe ich nicht. Das Forum ist doch viel unterhaltsamer als das Spiel, besonders donnerstags. Aktuell motiviert WG mich alles mögliche zu tun anstatt an wows zu denken. Was die bisher investierte Zeit und evtl Geld angeht verstehe ich einige der alten Hasen nicht. Ich kann das alles jeden Moment fallen lassen ohne Verlustängste zu haben. Solange ich Spaß hatte habe ich investiert und etwas davon gehabt. Jetzt kann der Account ne Weile rumliegen, schimmelt ja nicht. Es ist immer noch möglich mit diesem Spiel Spaß zu haben, allerdings schaffen andere Spiele das gleiche mit weniger Zeiteinsatz und ohne ab und zu Frust zu erzeugen. Es kommt aber auch darauf an was für ein Spielertyp man ist. Wäre ich Mal dumm geblieben, dann könnte ich immer noch so viel Spaß haben wie im ersten Monat.

The center of the smoke spawns in front of the ship, it seems they made it for forward movement only and when players use it as a panic smoke from full speed they can go dark faster. They might have introduced this smoke behaviour when they 'buffed' RN cruiser smoke a couple of years ago (you needed to slow down long before smoking or you would end up outside of the smoke puffs before that buff). This behaviour is nothing new, even with normal DD smokes you have to be very careful when smoking backwards i.e. stop / slow down before you leave the smoke puff. Going forwards you can afford to play around between 1/4 and 1/2 speed.

Rewards used to be tied to rank, now you only need to spam battles until you have your 18 wins. Why play properly when you can just click twice, press W and then go for a piss? Rinse, repeat. There is no point to think about improvements, this is what WG intended. This mode is Grind Battles with a Ranked name tag slapped over it. Gold league is for those who 'play' 1k+ battles per 2 weeks. Go on, fill the servers and collect your awesome reward box. And stop showing bots and spammers in a bad light, WG adores them. There is nothing to anticipate, just look what happened in the past. Legendary ranked players with 1k+ battles per season aren't a new thing.

When I started playing this game there where only IJN and US lines and Ru DDs and German cruisers were introduced. I had nothing else to grind when new lines came out. You can get a lot of T10 ships in 6 years time.

Why not both? I'm willing to give up a lot for 15% dpm buff. +10% more at half HP with AR even.
