    Not a good shooter

Well, yes they would. The thing is, in this game you need to give and take. None of the BBs have a great rate of fire, and the fastest loading guns are German and consequently would miss a drydock from the inside. The most accurate BB guns are of course Japanese, but they are anything but fast firing. Their armor can also be quite unreliable and are very prone of being set on fire. Laser accuracy, fast rate of fire, and high alpha however can be covered by the Hipper, Roon, and Hindenburg. The Hidenburg opens with a salvo every 8 seconds potentially. Their AP has the highest alpha and their guns are laser accurate. Thanks to their excellent shell velocity and extremely flat shell arcs, they also have some of the best penetration of any cruiser. They're also well armored for cruisers. The problem is of course that they aren't very good. Their handling is clumsy, their damage requires the stupidity of the enemies, and they are very inviting targets for just about anyone and their armor can't save them forever. You mentioned a lot of hard stats, but often some of the best ships in the game would not be the ships that you would think are the best just by looking at them without experience.

    Hatsuharu

My brain has already erased the trauma, why did you have to bring it up?!?

    Hatsuharu

The one thing I noticed about the Hatsuharu is that she is borderline unusable stock.I also do not appreciate having to grind 10k XP on a tier 6 ship before I can even have access to the torpedo module research branch.

    Get To Carrier

Coming in 2017: tier 3 CV premium. 2 torpedo bomber squads. No mirror MM.

Elimination thread number Two: Tier V

    Nicholas: 6 - 3 = 3 Zuiho (1/2/1): 23 + 1 = 24 Kongo: 25 - 3 = 22 Nothing against the Kongo, I just never liked her. Her guns are unreliable, and she's made of gasoline and citadels. Minekaze: 21 Fujin/Kamikaze: 24 Gremy: 31 Murmansk: 11 Konig: 26 Königsberg: 22
  6. I can't speak for the Russian line, but the American tier 6 is arguably superior to the tier 7 in many respects and the Japanese tier 7 pays for her superior firepower and health through a reduced reload speed and glacial handling/turret mechanization for a tier 7 ship. The German tier 7 presents a large power gap, but I can't see it being a major issue for too many other ships.
  7. I think that this can be solved by giving tier 7 cruisers the 2 million slot and giving the tier 8 the 3 million slot. That'll solve a lot of those cruiser's issues. The Belfast has the 2 million slot, and she wouldn't be that great without her smoke. I doubt that the cruisers at tier 7 would become overpowered with that slot. Cruisers are the utility ships after all, it would be good if they could access those mods earlier to give them an edge at those tiers.
  8. This is a general invitation to all players who plays the IJN DDs. The Shiratsuyu is coming to World of Warships and, as she currently stands, she'll be arguably a superior torpedo boat to the Shima that gets MMed with battleships that have yet to learn about the A and D keys! I therefore would like to have a general idea of the people who would like to join World of Warship's official teamspeak in order to division up and create a great wall of torpedoes all over the tier 7 maps. Well, who's up for it?
  9. + 1 just make a poll DDs: +1 Buff IJN DDs -> Weak, slow, susceptible to carrier attacks, and impractical torpedoes. I don't think they should have their old torpedoes, just lowering the range of the USN torpedoes (Fletcher, Gearing) and improving the concealment of the IJN torpedoes would make for a healthier game instead of the fire and forget 20km torps that the IJN had. Cruisers: +1 Buff cruisers. The rock/paper/scissors thing isn't working when the best high tiered battleship hunters aren't destroyers but cruisers, but the issue still stands that cruisers in the mid tiers suffers a lot of disadvantages and requires the level of skill simply not needed for battleships at those tiers. +1 give defensive fire and HAS separate slots BUT nerf the damage gain for defensive fire. Defensive fire should be a support and utility tool, it shouldn't be an "I win" button. Battleships: +2 Nerf BBs: +1 Nerf BB AA, or sort of. I think that the better option is to remove AA improvements from skills such as AFT, BFT, and other AA mods then start balancing CV plane performance from there. Even a N. Car is manageable for a Shokaku if they don't have access to the AA skills. Carriers: +1 Buff carriers, this has been a long time coming. The carriers are insanely exclusive, especially the USN line, and requires the kind of experience and patience that a newer player simply doesn't have. Turning circles, plane vectors, and HUI all need to be improved and the priming circle should be removed for good. +1 Nerf AA except for cruiser and carrier AA. Carriers need protection against each other, especially for newer players. Cruisers would be able to have a niche they fulfill instead of being pushed out with every new BB line. +1 Nerf BB AA or just deny them the AA relevant skills and upgrades. BB AA, in my opinion, would be fine right now if not for those upgrades. By straight up buffing carrier plane survivability and speed, it'll just force the AA modding to rise to parity which, IMO, does not create a healthy game. +1 Give defensive fire and HAS separate slots for the reasons mentioned above.
  10. Probably. It's probably a British dish if paired with Marmite.
  11. Themselves. It's the CV's fault that they have to camp, or the DD's fault that they have to camp, or the CA's fault that they have to camp. It's never the fault of their craptastic skills and planning.

    Premium ship to 3000 dublons

You can always premium one of the tier 8s, I recommend the Benson. If you're willing to drop 2000 more dobloons however, you can get yourself a tier 10 premium ship without a chance of ever being undertiered. I'm looking to pimp up my Zao soon, she'll look great with her new paintjob.

    CV opt out when

Avenger: meet Syrchalis. He's a very good CV player, and very nice in teamspeak as well. Now division up with him and stop inundating us with your unceasing and relentless whining about having a bad carrier player on your team!

    CV opt out when

Earlier: Later: So the outcome of the game is not decided by skill, but by the ship class. But both players have the same ship class. But it's not decided by skill. But the ship class. Issues with Tier 6 7 and 8

Hipper. Free kill ship. THE HIPPER. Bottom tier. No division for me. An Atago, a Zao, an Amagi, a Bismark, a North Carolina, and a Kurfurst spent that game failing to kill me. The Hipper is an excellent ships which a few but entirely managable flaws. She is NOT a weak ship. Neither is the York.

    Issues with Tier 6 7 and 8

    Ah, that makes sense.
  17. dasCKD

    Which ships to get?

She only works with really good situational awareness on set maps. Most players can't get much out of her, unlike the Zao which requires a legendary level of incompetence to screw up.

Elimination thread number Two: Tier V

Fighter Bogues are basically the enemy CV conceding victory to you. It's been a while since I had a Zuiho admittedly, but even with a full strike Bogue I seldom have issues dealing with the AS plague at tier 5.

Elimination thread number Two: Tier V

Texas: 11 - 3 = 8 All the tier 5 BBs are rather weaksauce, but the New York has more problems than the Kongo. Nicholas: 14 Zuiho (1/2/1): 22 + 1 = 23 Do we really need to keep justifying why this ship is completely overpowered for her tier? Kongo: 30 Furutaka: 11 Minekaze/Fujin/Kamikaze: 33 Gremy: 27 Murmansk: 16 König: 27 Königsberg: 24
  20. IF CVs were as powerful as they were in real life, then the entire fleet's role would be to protect the carrier no matter what the cost. That isn't the case in the game however. Even before the massive carrier nerfs and AA buffs this wasn't the case. Carriers are another player on an online game and whilst they are the most important single player their performance is not more important than the performance of the team. IF CVs were as powerful as they were in real life, then AS loadouts would have immense value as being able to prevent the enemy carrier from landing attacks would mean preventing almost all of the potential damage that the enemy fleet could do which is why such importance was placed upon ensuring that a fleet had air supremacy. It's not the case in game however as every ship in the game gets a chance to deal damage (as an online multiplayer game should), and so AS remains less than useless.

    Screen record program?

If you have a PC, you can use the Windows game bar which I find puts far less load on your processor and video card than Shadowplay or OBS even if you can't stream with it. You can record high fidelity footage even on a laptop I find.
  22. She shares that space with the Myogi's 18.6 km guns.

Texas: 14 Nicholas: 14 Zuiho (1/2/1): 20 + 1 = 21 Because Zuiho is best girl Kongo: 34 - 3 = 31 Never liked the Kongo, even after going back to her with experience. Catches fire like it's in fashion, long ship to maximize damage from carriers and destroyers. Giant target without the firepower of the rest of the IJN line.
