Queen Elizabeth BB with various upgrades

in the gameplay balance department, there are other problems that require much much much more attention than DD/BB balance. like... for example, CV vs EVERYTHING balance from my point of view DD and BB are balanced more or less okay.

Queen Elizabeth BB with various upgrades

I have had the same problem problem as you occasionally in the past, but more frequently in the past handful of days. Very annoying. I had the opposite issue too... guns fired on the target while the aim was not yet on. When in close quarters, I also have to aim torpedoes considerably ahead of the indicator.

Queen Elizabeth BB with various upgrades

huh? it's simple logic that says BB should be vulnerable to DD torpedoes only - although Friesland and some other machinegun-DD firing when hidden can be very annoying. But you can't seriously suggest DD guns should be a severe threat for battleships.

    Poll about class balance

something can certainly be done to balance them better. I agree with you on better balancing some damage types, but here are some other thoughts: first thing I think about - if ships can't dodge plane attacks, why can planes evade FLAK ? second thing - good CV players spend a lot of their time spotting, I think this plays a major role in battle outcomes. one of the possible solutions could be to limit the time they can fly or limit their range on the map.

    Poll about class balance

I would like people's opinion about class balance. I don't want to talk about the average player here - suppose you put a super-unicum player that excels at a particular class into solo random battles. Should a BB super-unicum sitting in a BB have more influence on the battle outcome than a DD super-unicum in a DD ? or in a cruiser? or in a CV ? the other way around? This is not a question about which class currently has the most influence, this is a discussion about if it's a good thing that some classes have more influence on battle outcome than others.

what you say about higher tier CV is interesting, because I think tier 8 CV are a bit too much.

    Poll about class balance

I think there are more than a handful. Any class allowing top players to get above 70% in randoms is denying fun to other people and make the game bad. Or make that even 60%.

Loot boxes to be classed as gambling in the UK...

Well, it does. Except for the case of international legal agreements (many of which exist between the USA and the EU), laws are territorial. Being in another country protects you 100%, except for the aforementioned case. The UK or the EU only control what happens within their borders, except, again, when international legal agreements have been signed between the countries in which this agreement is valid. Sure, they can freeze assets they have jurisdiction on, and they can bully companies to not do business with certain other people or companies. That's what Microsoft and Co. are afraid of. But one has to be a big thorn in the side of the US or the EU for that to happen. Think along the lines of US embargo on Cuba or Iran. The US passes a law that forbids anyone to do business with Cuba or Iran and then they expect the whole world to abide by it and say it's illegal to trade with these countries. Except it's only illegal in US law. Other countries mostly submit to the bullying because of fear of the repercussions. Not legal repercussions, but political and economic. Most countries with megalomaniac tendencies will lie and say what another country does is illegal, not allowed in "international law" (there is no such thing), bla bla. The biggest liars in this department are the US, the EU and France. They will just go and pretend what happens within the borders of other countries is illegal, lol. Just imagine other countries would start prosecuting for things that are illegal in their law... Hello Saudi Arabia, hello Iran... did you draw the Prophet? It's the same for the internet. What UK or the EU would have to do is to block access to servers, and that's something they aren't really ready to do because it's censorship. That's why there are still online casinos and the piratebay. not blocked. although many providers do block it without telling. in Switzerland, it's legal to download pirated software or bootlegged movies. EU and US law stop at the Swiss border. Neither EU nor US pressed the matter further with Switzerland, because it's a small market anyway and because it would have caused an internal political crisis in Switzerland (because Switzerland has direct democracy with referendums which results are binding for the parliament). And MSFT or Intel didn't really have a choice. It was pay or lose the market. Because computers are delivered with Windows on them and with Intel chips. But the legal case wasn't clear at all. Rather than a legal case, I rather consider it as international bullying. The bullies can only bully what happens within their jurisdiction or what's covered in international agreements with the other country.

check the routing, not the server

    WTH is now with server?

I had the same problem yesterday, along with 2 disconnects and several desyncs, while my division mates did not, and my teamspeak stayed on too. the problem went away after I connected through a VPN I installed on one of my webservers - it seems G-core Labs has routing problems, it's not the first time.

? a company is not forced to deal in its domestic currency. most of their income is in Russian Rouble anyway, and the rest ist probably mostly EUR and USD, which can remain on foreign currency accounts. their currency exposure would be the same as now.

their headquarters are in Cyprus only for tax reasons. I'm sure they could strike a comparable deal in Belarus. they wouldn't lose the EU market, as Wargaming's business is online.

I have always been puzzled why WG gives any attention to EU laws. All they have to do is keep their business out of the EU.

    Poll about class balance

the problem with that is the disproportionate impact of a class and the low number of players able to make it have that impact. when a player is excellent, he gets 60-65% winrate in most classes, because he can be counterbalanced by another excellent player in another class or 2 or more competent players. this is true for classes that actually meet in-game. for classes that stay out of sight for most of the battle, there is a problem, because usually they stay in the back and it takes a long time before they can get shot at. and the second problem, for classes that are usually represented by a single ship in battles, an excellent player can't be countered by 2 competent ones, because there is only one per side. moreover, as the number of excellent players is low, they are unlikely to meet another excellent player of the same class in battle, which effectively deny other players' chances to significantly influence the battle. so when a single player determines the outcome of 80% battles he plays with a certain class or ship, there is something wrong.

    The Last Salvo Phenomenon

I do believe it !! Witnessed it myself. The worst are those who overdo it so much that one thinks it's an act... they even use forms of self-derision, double meanings and self-sarcasm one could take as hints that they play a comical role... you think it's funny... and then some while later, you realize they were dead serious about all the ridiculous things they said, and the self-derision are things they don't understand themselves but they picked up anyway from other people because they noticed that people smiled !!! I will always remember the NCO responsible for my boot camp...

    Poll about class balance

okay... take the server's top 10 (or 20, 50... doesn't really matter) players in each of the classes and calculate the average solo winrate per class. for some class(es), that average is as high as 80%, for other classes it's around 65%. is that the way it should be?
