So I got this mission from KotS Kirov mission where I must get 2000 ribbons, and Smolensk is my best ship to do that, that's why I played it again. I want to play it as an AA cruiser, since it's one of the few ships that have good AA, but taking the appropriate modules and consumables completely cripples the ship, hydro and the range mod are just too important. Played it exactly once without range mod and without hydro, I could shoot nothing on the high tier maps because I had no range, the smoke duration is ridiculously short and I was completely blind searching for a DD and torps. edited for clarity: my proposal is as follows: - give it the default range of 16km and remove the range mod from choices - add a range decrease for the reload mod so it's counterbalanced and gets the same reduced range as before - add defensive AA fire consumable this would make zero changes to Smolensk's effectiveness or DPS vs. ships, but would make it effective for AA. I think it would make the game more interesting if Smolensk could be played as an AA support cruiser.

I play again :) we are having a covid outbreak problem, so my business is dead :-( AA build is up to me :) I would just like to be able to use the ship for something else. even if specialising AA on it does not make it 100% as good as it can be, it still needs a bit of range and hydro to be useful, or all I would be able to do with it would be hiding behind islands waiting for planes.

read again extra range by default but without access to more range extra consumables slot only to mount AA consumable

I didn't suggest any buffs except making the AA mod and the AA consumable available without sacrificing range and hydro

completely serious, did you read? I want AA, meaning I want the AA mod + defensive AA fire consumable. plus, the AA is so situational, not every battle has CV, so playing it all on the AA card isn't very clever if hydro and range have to be sacrificed

yes, but I don't propose 19km range. I would like to have access to good AA without crippling the ship, and opening the way for a real AA cruiser (!!) BTW, I also noted that Smolensk now start much less fires, 150 shell hits now start between 1 and 5 fires, it was way more before.

I really don't know... I have taken up WoWs again after a long pause, and I have been blessed with daily winrates between 60% and 90% for two weeks already, yesterday my account's total number of victories even exceeded my losses plus draws, so I'm not sub-50 anymore. I don't know why, surely it's not my skill.

I don't thin WG can make the changes retroactively. how would they change the outcomes of the battles you played with these ships?

lol, even I got one! but I really like Makarovs. I can fire on them with any ship and get citadels, even when firing SAP.

WG are very stingy with rewards from free containers. I probably opened thousands of them and never got a ship. What an anticlimax to complete a collection after dozens of missions, receive the "Santa's Big Gift" container (or any other WG's Big Scam container), open it and then find a handful of signals in it.

okay, questions: - are twitch drops the only way until May 17th to get KotS containers? - how many are still to drop? on the twitch drops page, it says I already got KotS #3 (mission in progress in WoWS), and there are still #4,5,6 and 7 to come. so that's 5 containers, but I need 11. are there any more containers to get?

I still have to collect 11 of these containers. Can I still collect enough? How to collect, except from twitch?
