Since Ranked mode made it to test server it is safe to assume it will start with, or slightly after next patch hits live server.

Newport is easy only with decent team, this one is easy most of the time. WG got rid of 3 bbs that got spawned with carriers. Should've left them in the operation.

I think Premium would be a weird choice for testing features like this... Anyway, waiting already for it to get buff (more charges) due to all potatos whining they run out of it too quickly...

So, Empress Catherine at Tier 6 and Free Russia Tier 7 (with torps of course, because of Mutsu and Scharnhorst) and then Sovetskaya Belorussiya, Sovetskaya Rossiya and Sovetsky Soyuz at Tiers 8-10. At least WG is being historically accurate.

All cruisers have AP and close range broadside hurts like hell nomatter what cruiser it is. But it is rather hard to one shot battleship with cruiser guns... With torpedo salvo on the other hand it is. True Japanese are not particulary great at this, since their crappy torpedo angles, but once you survive initial salvo you will be able to fire them anyway. Ultimate? How? In scenario you've described, all dds can do exactly the same. Yes, Khabarovsk is faster, but other destroyers have better concealment.

I feel the moment Wargaming raises xp requirements, we'll see ton of 'WG cashgrab' comments. Not sure if that is the way to go. I'd rather see some kind of prizes awarded for doing training missions (well thought though!) or some kind of system that awards playing for/with team. Gonna brainstorm here, but I'd rather lock Tier progression with Level progression or overall number of battles played in certain class / tier before next one gets unlocked, since plain xp buff can be nullified easily with flags, premium and free xp (hence cashgrab).

Destroyers still have better concealment than battleships, even during cyclone and I have to admit, fact that it cripples Khabarovsk to the point of being useless is the real pleasure. As for cruisers though, I like that you need to pay attention to where enemy ships are, moments before visibility goes to 8 km. It is true battleship can delete cruiser with one salvo, but opposite is also true, since if it scores overpens, they can erase battleship with torpedoes. And if they don't have torpedoes... Well, they can go for ram.

Thing is, for some it would still be a bit too complicated. And since there are first graders in this game, I'm not entirely sure if they'd care even if they got what were being told... This one is easy. Fun goes away once you start caring too much. The moment you learn how game works and how to win battles is the one, that let's you notice all the stupid that happens. And amount of stupid - if you care - will raise your blood temperature enough to give you 1st degree burns. Unless it turns into steam and blows you up. No fun after that point.

Radar in cyclone is fine as long as it reveals enemy ship ONLY on the minimap.

Potato? True. Buy you've never explained how to reasonably apply 'potayto' term. What validates is reason, not stats. Stats might say a bit about experience though and skill. It is true MM is random as well as some aspects of the game, but still there are those who are better then others.

All ships I have in my port are my favourite, but probably Shiratsuyu, Mogami and Scharnhorst are going to stand a little out of the crowd. Scharnhorst - for so much fun it delivers and being very easy to play. Mogami - for being challanging to play and its uniqueness. Shiratsuyu - for the ability to send two full HP Straighliners to the bottom at the same time.

It makes for interesting point. If instead of Bismarck some other T8 ship was given for free (Cruiser or DD) would we see threads like this one too? (don't get me wrong though, I agree with OP, just curious if that would also trigger strong response?)

For this one. 3rd or 4th star gives you 10 point captain. You must've. Check your reserve. Second try just for shits and giggles landed me 5 star victory. Good CV captain is all those scenarios need for flawless victory (hot lucky to get one in the second battle) NewPort Defence and Killer Whale are very easy to score 5 star victories. Aegis and Raptor require little more coordination from players. I imagine once people learn routine, will be easy as well. Will gladly help you in beating it. Just catch me ingame.
