Well, unless something's changed, you have a better chance of getting supercontainer with doubloons than a port slot... Over the past 4 months I got 1 port slot and 9 Supercontainers. People at WG might not know that... Not sure if that's the thing, but in my case (past last 6 months) PortSlots were always correlated with getting SuperContainer.

Absolutely not. There doesn't need to be regular rotation. Ships may appear according to WG sale policy, based on 'we feel like this one might sell well at this time' schedule. I'd love to agree with you there, but it's not like we know sale numbers. You can get ship only. Whether price is inflated or not is different issue. That's my major point. There is not that many alternatives one can spend Gold on.

Not sure if I'd say it got ruined. It got slightly more difficult, but that's not a bad thing. At least it will teach (some) people thing or two. 5 stars victory is still achievable if you're lucky enough to get few decent players. And if not, people still can join forces to beat it. In all fairness have to admit I once joined 'random' division and oh boy... They struggled to beat Killer Whale 8 out of 10 times...
