Yes I could. But I chose WoWs. Rewards had no impact on my decision, when I was installing it 5 years ago. No-one bribed me... It was pretty looking online ship shooter... That was the only deciding factor. Sometimes, yes. I log in and spend few hours talking to them while playing - most of the time - together. As in real life. But mostly I play because I feel like killing some time. I don't care about missions or rewards. If I don't feel like playing, 25 xp short of the next container or mission expiring in few hours won't change my mind. Would your mind tell you you miss cheese if you didn't know how it tastes but instead of it ate a lot of beef? Not sure If I'm following your question. Only thing my mind is telling me about missing anything is beer in my fridge and friends in my real life. People I meet online are like-minded strangers you sometimes meet when travelling for example. If you travel regularly they often grow on you. That's how relationships work. I'm well aware of the impact of all those tiny mental hooks implemented in the games. Few years of psychology helps little bit in that department. It is a computer game. Anything in it has no value whatsoever, except entertainment value. It's like watching the movie. You don't feel bad, that you have just spent 2 hours in cinema except - I don't know - learning new stuff or meeting people, do you? By the same logic you could feel bad about all that alcohol you've consumed over the years, because you know - after 30 years instead of empty bottles you could have a nice car... Yes, technically you could, but on the other hand, all that booze... More interesting question is, why do I still hang out on the forums?

How to make RADAR a LITTLE more fair for DDs
Skyllon replied to FizzlePopBerryTwist's topic in General Discussion
Yap. BBs moaned a lot. That was the main reason. -
Can't speak to that. I'm playing because I like to kick bots little bit now and then and because I enjoy the company of people I play with. Then don't, why would you even try to complete it all, especially if you understand underlying psychology of the online 'free to play' games. Most of those missions give meaningless rewards anyway. It's exactly what Panocek has said: That's the right approach. I've just had 2 months break. Have I missed on something? Sure. But who cares. Those are worthless pixels. Well I have. It was discussed months ago, not sure if people still keep posting about that. Main reason was clan obligations - grinding ships, then CBs which sit on top of what I wanted to do (Ranked and friendly bot bashing). There was (and still is) just too little time in between those events and in above example - if someone has enough time to invest in so many different in game activities of course - might feel overburdened. Luckily, normal people have to choose anyway, so...

That's nothing. I once had guy that downvoted all my posts from the last 2 months... Gotta respect snowflakes' level of commitment.

You mean transports are trying bowtanking at the border? Then everything is working as intended. AI behaviour is influenced by interaction with players after all...

Lol, ability to understand written word helps tremendoulsy in conversations... Please go back to post 1 and through all 3 pages before posting redundand things.

Doesn't matter. It's just algorithm. You can fine tune it any way you want. Of course it's WG we're talking about, so can't wait for both to get in the game!
-
Sigh... Please go through entire thread and all comments. Also stop squizzing modern warfare terms into WWII discussion... By that alone you make your comment laughable.
-
Not really. (sky cancer issue aside) Problem is MM. You can set limit to 1 hybrid + cv or both could be mutually exclusive. Problem solved. Of course it is WG we're talking about...

Juhuu! A nawet HipHip Hurra! Czy to oznacza centymetry dla wszystkich, w tym czarne dla prymusów? Czy też darmowe wejściówki na turniej par sportowych tańca z torpedami?

Sure it was. If only someone was aroud in 40s to tell that to actuall Admirals playing with ships. So basically end of the war event when 1 ship was swarmed by what? 100 planes? More? Hardly how battles were conducted. Yes there was. To attack small / low armoured vessels and land targets...
-
No clue were is this quote from, but I bet this is single vessel attack with established Air Superiority, not part of CV vs CV engagement / large battle. That's precisely what happened during battles.
-
Totally agree. Put 100% reality into this game. Back to ocean map and 4% hit ratio. In Hollywood movies, yes. Fighters had escort duties and during strike groups engagements were either busy fending off enemy fighters or simply put on hold in the safe distance. Fighters were crucial in defending your own strike group and were not put at risk like that, since it is virtually impossible to sink large vessels even with large caliber rounds... Dive bombers were more then capable of using their own machine guns during bomb runs if needed.
-
For the strike groups. And so were BB's based scout planes... All depends on theatre of war and time period. Oh, and how about maritime patrol aircrafts? I really wouldn't try 'in the real life' argument, because 'In real history' Yamato never engaged Bismarck and CV based fighters never spammed Battleships with rockets...

You can use coupons to get +20% credits flags. I wouldn't get them without discount, though. Coal even then is hardly worth being spent on credits. If you decide to do that though, wait till you get Premium time from WG (there should be few days under current ongoing event) and use them in OPS, or on any T6-7 ship that gives you most wins. In the meantime you can grind other lines in ops (Aegis / Narai). And be patient. If you currently struggle for credits, it is going to be much worse in higher tiers.

[Poll] How many lines with "Tier X" have you reset for the "Research Bureau" thus far?
Skyllon replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Sorry bud, but I couldn't resist. Instead of making actual progression little bit harder and reworking economy, WG decided to make it as easy as possible for average potato and make players redo same **** multiple times in order to make them feel speciul... -
Allow Divisions in Asymmetric Battles
Skyllon replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Well... A) Same with playing solo in randoms. I'm also better then majority of players. And if MM feels like it, you are going to end up with the same 3 unicuum players on the same team in the match anyway... So, I guess it's fine then, because they are not in the division, although outcome of the game will be exactly the same? B) You cenveniently forget that there is also green team, which I can assure you will be more then happy to get that win. So I still see 50% of players winning. Unless 50% is not fair? C) Oh. I see what you're trying to do. Trying to ban unicuum players? Are we? -
Allow Divisions in Asymmetric Battles
Skyllon replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
I agree with the general feeling on what you want to get through. I remember when I was pointing the same thing out years ago. But remember, that banning divisions won't change anything. You can get exactly same players in same ships if MM feels like it. And it won't matter they won't be able to communicate. I can predict what good players will do and assist them accordingly without coms. Only way to achieve level of 'fairness' you talk about is to introduce fully mirrored, skill based MM. (problems with it aside) And if that existed, divisions would also be mirrored, so they would cancel each other out. In the current environment there is no point in removing divisions. MM is going to keep working with the same excrement and sorry excuse for algorithm, placing you now and then on the much better (or worse) team. -
Allow Divisions in Asymmetric Battles
Skyllon replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Yes. Existence of OP ships is stupid. I fully agree with you. Now explain that to WG. Attaboy! Game neither ballances random teams by skill. No difference there. You can get exactly same setup without divisions if MM feels like giving you a finger... 5 radar ships on 1 team and 1 on the other. Voila! Problem is not in divisions. On the sidenote, I'm pretty convinced other players on the team that won, will be fairly happy for being carried. After all there are always 50% of losers in every battle... Cancer divisions you mentioned happen, same as unruly players that ruin the game for everyone. Both are not that common though. And even in your example, enough of skilled players on '3 men german BB div' might outplay those 'Kremlin, Stalin, Smolensk' drivers. Unfair? Really. Sooner or later same division will end up on your team. After all they are random. Same as the chance of any ship ending up on your team. And you can even do division like that yourself! That's the reality of this game. And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't like WG intended it to be like that? -
Allow Divisions in Asymmetric Battles
Skyllon replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Oh I did, You just didn't understand what I wrote. It's obvious I'm going to have much higher winrate in three man division, since I play only with unicuum players, thus when in division I bring 3 skilled players into the battle... For the same reason I have higher solo winrate. I'm better player than many that I meet in the battle. You conveniently forget, that whenever you play in a division, there is also a division on the enemy team... I've been in battles where my team outplayed strong enemy division many times, for the simple fact my team had more better players. Even one strong division can't carry fleet of potatoes... People are focused on divisions because it is easy subject to pick on, forgetting other things that influence the battle. -
Allow Divisions in Asymmetric Battles
Skyllon replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Now you're talking. And I totally agree with you on this one. There should be hard limit on divisions of one clan in the same battle. You have my vote there. It is nothing new though. People have been pointing that out since day 1...
