I fact I wouldn't mind if WG would make it for sale. It's giving a very nive free XP bonus. I would highly suggest though to give it another color pallete. So it's clear who has had the stomach to grind it and who didn't.

Sorry to quote myself here. I decided to pick up the line. Now I'm at the T5 (I refuse to try to remember those silly serial number names). I must say I'm having a blast! Now that my "sealclub honyemoon phase" is over it's the "real deal now." Automtically being thrown in T7 matches in where I'm in the best case scenario not the only 5 I still manage to give them hell. Against all "advices/ optimal builds" I'm building it for a DD hunter. Stealth, RPF and a torp reload as fast as possible ore my goals. That's how I like to play DD's. Not the best ace in knife fights anyway. I must admit I did free xp the upgrades on the German DD's and I'm using the captain free XP pool to boost this captains progress. 1 more point until I have RPF!

I am grinding the mission to get it for free. But I did buy the cammo already... I think it's so pitch ugly like Texas' I couldn't resist. And if I should not be able to win Okt Rev in the mission I'll buy it. Soyoez Sovjetsky Socialist Respubliki (correct me if I didn't make the correct order of CCCP....). Dispense socialism to the world comrades! Like we do freedom with the US guns!

Thanks wilkatis and Yaskaraxx. It's always interesting how opinions can differ. I'm not sure I'll charge a Bismarck fully in this ship. My favorite BB is by far Tirpitz (BM with torps and without sonar but otherwise not that different). I love to play Tirpitz like a maniac. heck: I don't even flee from a Yamato. In his best case scenario he'll vividly remember that encounter... I think you'll need to give a very shallow angle in a BB encounter because of the weird armor layout. Am I correct? And I found out Monarch is the absolute sucker beyond the realm of sucking for plunging fire. heck I even got seriously damaged by a smoke pewpewing pingpongball boat (RN cruiser. Can't honostly remember which one. They are litteraly the same for me: smoke, pewpew and dev struck) on long range today. My guess is that's where the good stealth is coming into handy: so to shut up when things are getting too hot and live to fight another moment. I sure hope Failmu won't start whining about Monarch anytime soon. I'm a bit worrying WG will nuture Lion and Conqueror to a absolute tedious boring level like they did with Zao and Yamato once I've reached it. I really can't believe WG is pulling the nerf card because of that 1 silly YT clip in which are the stars happened to be aligned in his favor and where that Montana IMO did misplay. Give me 10 of those replays/ clips/ situations and I might change my opinion @Flamu. OK, granted: the stealth of Conqueror. IMO it's BS if a BB can outspot a cruiser. But a buff on cruiser stealth would seem far more appropiate. The cruisers are in a very tough spot as validly argued elsewhere on the Forum. Regarding AA. That's my build alright. Didn't take manual AA though. I've come to dislike the CV's (the ships, not the people for that matter) more and more. Taking hardly any risk and send their air spam all over the place. So the more of that planespam I can take with me, the better. Go play wowp FFS. They made a wonderful update from what I saw. My AA modules getting knocked out? I can't say THAT's a particular issue on Moronarch worse than any other BB. Regarding taking a hit from another BB. I found out, like I said, give a shallow angle. As paradoxal it might sound and it took me a leap of faith to try it in King G (giving even full broadside) you'll see you'll bounce a lot of hits. no, not from Yamato on mid to close range. But heck: when was the last time you saw that nutured POS tank heavily? Nowadays they are competing with the pewpewpingpongball boats for the nearest island to hide behind. and on long range you're screwed anyway when the higher tier BB's shooting at you and RNG-us is allowing a hit. It'll be a double citadel anyway. Pretend you don't even have nose armor. Like I wrote: I've seen it been overmatched by a freaking Baltimore (or DM I'm still not sure). Sorry for my wall of txt. Got carried away a bit tl:dr. Still not my fav ship getting the hang of it. Please be careful with hysteria induced nerfs.

You're not exactly helpint Yaskaraxx.... Hahahaha! I think I found a way for Monarch. From a godawefull experience now it's a "meh I'd rather not but I can suffer it" boat. Only real exciting thing about it is I never know beforehand how I will lose the match....

What is your problem OP? Drop in Karma? The Russian DD's or both? Karma. Like pointed out already: it doesn't mean anything. I compliment very well players. Even if they're on the red team. I highly appreciate if someone is outsmarting me and take me down in a way I couldn't imagine. On the other hand I report losers who use their 1 trick they've learned from YT and it worked in that particular situation. Most of my reports are going to CV's. Either because of not helping our team or by being kill stolen while I was a dead man anyway. I lost track of how many times I was in a glorious yet lost fight when some AH red CV found it necessary to give me a full strike to bring me down, while the reds were hammering me to the bottom anyway. Or the pathetic boats with their pingpongballs shooting from their smoke clouds, shooting 1000 shells for 5k dmg. Yep: RN cruisers. I don't even count them as a member of a team. the side with the most RN cruisers will lose (in 99% of the cases). The Russian DD's? Since the infamous "sp(l)it" I barely used them anymore. heck: IMO they are a 1 trick pony. Use speedboost, go to mach 5 and pewpew the "enemy" to oblivion. They're no use in anything else. yes those 20k slavo's will eventually start 1 or 2 "perma" fires. But they can't scout, they can't torp and when focussed out like the vermin they are they often start to whine about being unfair to be hammered to the bottom.

Starting to think it's a mid battlephase ship. Long range sniping is excellent if you want to start a shipwashing facility. The shells straddle wonderfully in the water. Those which hit will bounce or shatter. On closer range it's starting to shine. Had again quite a good session. 5 games and actually a godlike 20% winrate. Of course the 1 match I didn't lose was the worst.

Hey bro. Don't worry about it. You're doing just fine. Having a winrate I'll probably never reach in this life. Maybe 3 or 4 incarnations later I might have a shot. Looking at your stats I see you've researched quite a few new ships lately: Izumo, Yama, other English BB's. For me it's always a getting used process. Also I can't make Yamato to function. Despite all the very good advices here on the forum. It's Rusting in peace in my port for a long time now. Furthermore I see you have the same issue with the UK BB's as I'm having: doing decent/ very well dmg wise but WR is completely another factor. In my case I finally, after asking advice, I have found a modus to make Monarch function (play it in a cruiser-like tactic). Doing decent dmg games the last 4 or 5 matches. But winning is a taboo word: the only exciting thing is I never know how I will lose that match. Same thing in QE. But Iron Duke and KGV? In those cases I couldn't lose! The losing streaks are also part of the deal. We all have them. Don't worry: you've not become a horrible player overnight. It's just part of wows. It'll end. Indeed switching tier/ shiptypes is the first thing I'll try. And the last. If it keeps going I'll use the Alt-F4 hack and come back another time. The landslides? Yes that's been going on for nearly a year now. For me I'm having the feeling it's slightly dwindling: few months ago I was on the verge of quitting because I got so tired of it. No fun at all: either roll them over or being overrun in 10 minutes. Got some nice nailbiters lately! Last but not least: I've divved with OP a couple of games. Believe me: he is not passive. Wow. Never expected to have this kind of response! I never claimed I am as good as Flamu. And yes I still think he's an arrogant slime. But thats my opinion. What I was trying to say is when I look at his "godlike YT matches" I see the reds make mistakes which my reds never seem to do. And I give him high respect he is streaming his games live as well. Seeing those matches made me feel less of a noob compared to him because I'm seeing him do things/ tactics I would have done too. And no, still not claiming to be as good of a player as he is. And I don't give a FF about that. On topic: in the opening post I think he was at the perfect position. But any another HE spammer would have gotten very good results on the same spot. And I'd say that Montana did misplay. He dropped back into concealment a couple of times but chose to keep shooting while he was being targetted by a HE spammer. He could also have made the choice to have some patience and move to a better spot first instead of trying to snipe at 20 lightyears away. At least: that's what I'm doing when being targeted by HE shooters which I can't see. Why the heck would I grant them free damage? Especially in the opening phase of the match. Live to fight another moment. Is that such a noob thought? Of course it's everyone's right to have an opinion of a ship being broken/ OP or not. Heck I opened a thread asking for objective facts why a ship would be OP or not. Other than opinions and pointing to stats I still don't have a clear answer. My opinion is I'm not that impressed by Conqueror (yet). I don't have it and when I did encounter them they didn't seem to be that bad.

Thanks for the replies. At least a comfort knowing I'm not the only one struggling with it. What I did learn from you is a more cruiser-ish playstyle. Depending on the MM being toptier (AKA never) it's OK to take a frontal position and in the other cases a more "1,5-ish" to second line. I'll keep it all in mind and, when my dementia doesn't strike, try to keep you updated about the progress. I am grinding towards the Conqueror so I'll look back to KGV etc when I get to T10. I'm curious about the so called "Zombie ship." I have faced them in battles of course but I don't share Failmu's aversion against it (yet).

Hope you have forgiven my blunder OP (accidentally torped you the other day and still feel aweful about that)... I had the same: seems like a bug sometimes the mission progress doesn't show on your resultscreen. But it does count in the overall progress though.

no. Indeed: just let the red DD roam free and shoot torp you all to port. I'm actually doing that because I think the TK system completely overshot it's purpose. You were "lucky" to have survived the mirror dmg. Otherwise you'd have 2 TK's. Punished twice for 1 offense. But hey. Don't you dare criticize the system because you are obliged to think it's working as intended.

I use it on nearly every non DD. For me on a DD it's kind of a waste: when I get caught I'm usually stomped to the bottom in a matter of seconds anyway. And on the rest I take it as the last 2 points. Exception is St Louis (F). I got sick and tired of being ruddered/ engined all the time so I chose last stand instead.

IMO detonation is a mandatory BS effect in this game. My advice is to go back to some lower tier DD's now and then and "harvest" your detonations there. It seems to be around 1% of your matches. So a deto in a low tier DD isn't that big of a deal and it'll yield you some nice flags.... I stopped counting the times I got detonated from the ammo supply hanging at my flag staff in those DD's....

I'd advice Nelson. Skipping to Yamato? Heck I'd chose a very tanky and very much less vulnarable boat like a RN cruiser over Yamato... and people who might have read my input on the Forum might have an idea about my opinion about how I think about the sorry @sses the RN cruiser line is in my opinion (I actually refuse to call them ships, because I'm having a hard time to determine what is the "ship" and what is the "live boat").

Yep. it happens. I was TK-ed today in my Shima. Heard the "torpedo warning" and still couldn't find the source. Untill, too late, they were "friendly" torps. The guy appologized very much so the matter was closed to me. In fact I tried to cheer him up: things happen. We are all human after all. Man I really felt sorry for him: he actually asked everyone to report him for his error. FFS: I've done tons of the same mistake. Should I report him? No OC not!

IIRC I've seen some "rumors/ threads" about a "pan European" thread in the game. Like the Pan Asian. Nations which played a significant role in the "time frame" of wows but all agree an entire line like rightfully the IJN, USN, RN, KM and OK, the Russian line (bias (-;) have played would be too much. And OK, it'll take time. But I am still convinced one day there will be 1 Dutch vessel available in wow's. and with this I am highly biased myself. But I still have to find 1 Forum mate who doesn't agree to the histirical fact the KM ("K= Koninklijke) naval tradition is inevitable.

OK I haven't read the entire post. My 2 cents: IMO Failmu was in the perfect situation at the perfect time in his vid. Right now I'm suffering through Monarch and I'd hate to see the nerf bat hitting that ship before I reach it. And granted: I don't have Conquerer yet but I didn't have too much trouble with that ship in combat. But in my Kurry I couldn't care less about that abomination. So I am on fire? boohoohoo. Now let me get to you and I'll hammer you to the bottom quicker than your Zombie heal can fix.... Oh you're so stealthy? No problem captain: I'm very quick. Enjoy your stealth: I'm coming for you. Only thing you can do is fire your HE spam. Oh: that'll make you visible again. Well: that's your problem. Not mine. I sincerely hope WG will not yield to the whining of a self proclamed expert. And no: I don't hate Flammu as much as I did. And yes: I learned very much from him. But I've noticed, while following his streams (great respect for that from my part): I am doing much the same as he is in my ships. My conclusion is Flammu is having more luck than I am, while being a better player than me sure. But to instantly nerf Conqueror on it's main power because Flammu is saying that? That's not going for me in my opinion.
