I finally lost my way through St Louis and unlocked Henry IV today.

Lol. OK, I was exaggerating here. Of course I've been given sound beatings by Yama's. I just find it disappointing in the whole game.

What I understand: Musashi is kind of "Yamato light?" I find Yamato the biggest T10 joke. Supposed to be the "apex BB" in FL and ingame. Heck: I'm not afraid of that turd in any ship. Playing it I'm amazed if a shell doesn't shatter on a T8 DD. And is doing 0 dmg on a penetration. Let alone in a BB to BB situation. Playing a Tirpitz I'm happily charging that poor sod. Not being impressed whatsoever. Yes once in a gazillion times Yama will oneshot me. But the other cases it's eating my primary, secondary hits and when I'm done treating it to fishes. Yamato is the RN cruiserline of all BB's IMO. And Musashi being a light version??? Oh, please make my day!

Amen to that. 99% of my reports are going to those parasites. And as a matter of fact 99% of my compliments as well. Granted the report/ compliment ratio is about 99-1 in the favor of report. The absolute majority of people I see playing a CV is having no clue whatsoever about ships, planes, RTS and basic brainpower. Why are my reports being drained?? By losers who refuse to scout, don't use their fighters to protect vulnerable targets, pulling their planes right over their DD's when outmatched, thus adding to the disadvantage even more, killstealing targets from DD's when I finally manage to make an excellent spread on an enemy target thus wasting my spread and it's plane drop in the process while there are other very viable targets elsewhere, finishing me off when I'm doomed already in a wonderful fight: at least give me the honor to die in grace. Seeing @xXx_Blogis_xXx in action I had to compliment him twice while playing his CV. Unfortunately for me he was on my enemy's team. In both situations I was posing a major threat to his team in my particular ship and he countered that wonderfully. While my CV was getting the first preliminarily steps to ween from breast feeding he did his job. and no that compliment wasn't only because he's a forummate. AFAIK I didn't get one in return because of that. It's because he understand how to play a CV. I don't hate CV's when they're doing their job I hate the vast majority who refuses not to.

I missed the first CW day but caught up today. I absolutely freaking LOVE it. Finally a system in which team play is the vital ingredient. Rewards are distributed evenly and you either prevail or go down as a team. @Boris_MNE please give it some more chance. In this I fully understand WG: take it slow-ish and gather intel. I'm sure CV's will be part of CW one day. The first quick win I can think of is a CV is mandatory on both sides. and I'm sure if CW is developing more something like this will be the case. Seeing your stats I see you're doing absolutely legendary in CV's. But wows is not only about CV's. I was very sceptical about CW when I started tonight. Thinking we'd be ROFL stomped by clans like OMNI and TTT serving as carrion for the top elite clans. I was highly surprised it wasn't the case. When acting as a team and not playing the godaweful coward style I see in Randoms I found out the matches were awesome. No absolutely amazing. Even the lost ones.... We were all agreeing the enemy was smarter/ better in the lost matches. And who doesn't despise that??? Heck: that'll only make you a better player!!! Boris please: I highly appreciate your input on the Forum. Looking at your stats you're a player of a level I'm trying to reach in the next incarnation. Give it some time and rejoin a clan. Even WG can't be that retarded to exclude excellent CV players like you are in CW??! tl:dr I love CW!!! WG is, for once, taking it slowly and easy. I'm sure CV's will have their place in CW one day soon.

Ah, you corrected yourself and counting the games I was with you in battle. Because then I'm always the preferred target! One "trick" that sometimes helps is knowing it's a human psychological issue that they stick to a specific target once committed. Even if there are far more viable targets standing before their faces. Try to fall back into stealth and keep it low for a like a minute or 2. Even if you see wonderful targets. In that time they might "forget" you and when you come back you won't always immediately have the same mass TLC as before. Note: that tactic is guaranteed not working in a destroyer.... And, I'm guessing: not in RN cruisers.

+ 1 from me for asking advice OP. Charles was a learn to love ship for me as well and it took me quite a long time. Firstly I'm not saying my way is the only way but I made it to function to support DD's to their caps but keep a good eye on the islands to take cover in an emergency. Your presence is enough to scare red DD's away. Kiting and HE spamming on the long range was working as a charm for me as well. Use your speedboost while doing so. And: start firing when you've picked up enough speed! It's acceleration is something politicians can learn something about. You don't want to be caught with your pants down stationary. They will very often underlead you in their aim. That few extra knots of speed might not seem much but they are. Running away from BB's and HE spam them to madness is where it shines. Don't forget the fish in that situation of course. In a close cruiser to cruiser combat situation, don't forget your AP. It's criminal against their broadsides. 2 shot a Donskoy with Charles when I was sick and tired of him spamming HE from their cap and kept camping there. I also specced it nearly fully AA. Granted hen a Midway wants your blood, you're a goner. But at least I was saving him a lot of shipfuel when the drop was finished. Now I am quite struggling with St Louis (F). I can't really make it shine and most matches are mediocre to meh. The guns just seem to lack the "oomph" to matter very much. Also parallel on topic but perhaps very helpful for OP and me: how does that "spaced armor" work (in simple laymen terms because of my challenged brainpower please). As far as I'm concerned the 'spaced armor' for me is only telling me something about the location of my armor (Int space station crew is looking at it). I do see it (dys)functioning often in battle: in some cases I'm starting to say my prayers for st Pete and mentally prepare me for the next battle when the shells arrive and I'm getting away with it with dmg take which isn't devastationg and sometimes I sigh a breath of relieve, hearing them splash into the water and0.5 seconds later I'm treated with the Cholera attack sound and making me not having to worry for 95% of my HP anymore. Oh! and the Rudder. I've come to the conclusion this whole ship is made of rudder. Capped once, slightly overshot the island (speedboost can bite you in the tail) and took one on the NOSE, from a 90'angle and I got ruddered. Also they have bought up the original KM cruiser engines (I asked if they were made by Volkswagen). Nearly every hit means either a rudder, engine or both. So I took last stand. Not even the protection module is doing anything.

Sorry, on my talking chair now. I forgot to say: good advice to look at the (ex)CC's on YT. I've learned a lot of iCase, Notser and yes: Flammu. What I want to say is bear in mind that the vids you're seeing are their top games of that session. I think people have the idea those are their 'standard matches.' Believe me: they're not. I looked at Twitch streams of Notser and Flammu and they are having the same godawful mediocre horror games you and I are having. Just wanted to mention that: yes they are great players but try not to fall into the "ego trap." "I must do 150k dmg every game, like Flammu, Notser etc are doing. And I must add that I've learned as much and if not more here on the Forum.

Though I agree with your POV OP I do think charging alone in an infested cap might not have been the best idea. Even in a Kurry. Tough as nails but not invincible. In those situations roughly 2 things can happen. 1 the reds stay camping in their cap. Which gives your team the possibility to snipe them all out from the borders and if the second braincell (thus yielding 100% efficiency in brainpower) they could try to sneak the other 2 (or possible 3) caps. The other is the reds get bored and charge out of their cap. Usually they do that uncoordinated and 1 by 1. Third possibility (which I rarely see) is they push on to the next cap in a coordinated fashion while keep defending the first. That's when you're screwed. Only viable solution would be a coordinated mass charge. and I'd rather wait for the snow in hell than expecting that to happen. And in the extreme rare cases I've seen that kind of cooperation the situation was in 95% of the cases the other way around... One of the most severe problems in this game is the lack of teamwork. People always thinking: let someone else do the dirty work. And by some mystifying reason people are so scared their pixel ship will get damage. (we still often see posts of people not knowing the repair costs are being set at 1 price, regardless the amount of dmg taken). Also it's the "yolo solo" state of mind. There is not 1 particular class of ship which has the absolute key role. (Granted in different game phases they do). But if your fellow teammates can act like one, this game is so marvelous. Had a game a few months ago in Charles Martel. Escorted Yama and Iowa (IIRC). Encounter with red BB? I fell back and started HE spam it while my BB's were doing the tanking. Encounter with a DD? That was my turn to charge in and them falling back. We absolutely murdered the reds on our way. Would we have had 2 more cruisers and a DD at point the match would have been laughable short. It was on our most favorite map and gametype (yep epicenter on Tears).

I'm a shipkeeper so I don't sell them. But if you're not: you can perfectly sell all regular line ships. You can buy them back at a later time f so desired. I would strongly advice against selling premium ships.

Will it be on sale? I thought it'd be like Missouri and Nelson for free XP. I won't buy it and for free XP it's a very low priority project for me. Don't like to play Yamato so I think a "Yamato light" won't bring much joy in my life.

What I'm particularly liking the cammo also is giving the HP pool of Rasputin!

I tried it on Yamato. But it didn't work out. Perhaps is a very viable option for that ship. For me it turns out nothing works with Yamato. Full secondary build might be a viable option for Mikasa. The main turrets are there for show anyway. and also maybe for Warspite and QE. But since they are playing mainly in T8 matches that doesn't make much sense either. T4T I think they could perform very well in a secondary build.

Am I the only one not seeing any difference at all ingame? It was supposed to finish of World of Warships, wasn't it?

I have the same bug. I won the Okt today but somehow the missions are still open in my client. They don't add up anymore so I guess some error from the server.

Changed my build indeed. Got Jack on it. Kicked him to 19 when I was still mating the Queen... I think I'll need more time to get the hang of it. That's 1 thing which really strikes me: every new tier BB I had the feeling I had to re-invent the wheel over and over.

Getting into a fight and 10 seconds later I'm having 4 perma fires and get focussed out by teleporting ships. did 6 matches now. All lost. I'm getting slightly worried now. Also about Lion and Conqueror being nerfed to death because of that loudmaouth Failmu... Preliminary I think Lion is a POS. I'm going to try it once more today.Free xp-ed all the upgrades. So to get it over with asap...

Unlocked it today. Did 5 matches now. The absolute most exciting thing about this ship is I'll never know by forehand how I will lose. I still have to figure out why it is being considered to be "OP." Yes it's a great fire starter yet somehow I never manage to get as much fires as I'm seeing on YT. It can't really tank and it can't snipe. On longer ranges I'm amazed if I even hit the ocean. My first impression: it is meh at very best.

FFS.... I'd pay anything (within a certain amount of reason) for that cammo on my Nic,,, Give me a ridiculous bonus on everything! Let me buy 20 cammo's and make me look that hideous ingame. AND in return a same ridiculous bonus for the one who's sinking me.... Just 20 cammo's. No more! Add some sense of humor in this game and make a good profit out of it while you're on it!!!

Just met @Corvi. Enemies for 20 minutes, friends for life. We got totally steamrolled and I wondered if we (including me for that matter) were even shooting back. I never met a more polite and good mannered friend, even being a Forummite as he/ She(?) is. IMO it's a utter mistake to give him a chat ban. That's utter BS: he's a very able player. And any report to him is just a noob rant. Thanks for the sound beating my friend. Hope to cross daggers or being on the same side soon! Friends for life!!!

Not wanting to sound political incorrect and just venting my opinion so nobody is taking offense: IMO Scotland is one of the most if not the most wonderful places on the world. The nature beauty of the highlands is, for me, staggering. And the people are so unimaginable friendly. I was once in a hotel where a true native Scot fellow, in Kilt and full dress was giving us a bagpipe demo. I felt so absolutely honored and humbled by that experience. It's one of my best memories in life. From the bottom of my heart. If you look for a marvelous place with sheer beauty, good hospitality and above all: wonderful people. Book a ticket to Scotland. The energy there is nothing to be compared with anywhere else. Sorry to be off topic here. Just wanted to share my love for a piece of our world which always will be in my life.
