In case we are ever going to be merged with WoT...
Ferry_25 replied to AkosJaccik's topic in General Discussion
I have 1 hesitation in the math: did you take gold ammo into account for the Wehrmacht? Awesome article OP. You really made my day. -
And lure the reds to our base? Actually that's a magnificent idea!!
-
So? I do that all the time: mounting the Tirpitz torpedo tubes on Nassau. Our clan is also tring to figure out how to sneak a CV into a CW match. We tried to hide one in a DD but we didn't get through costum controls. Anyone have an idea?
-
Don't play BB's that much: maybe to get the "know thy foe experience" play some lines in a calm pace. But stick to cruisers if you like them better. Heck: this game is in dire need of well abled cruiser players.

If so I can't support that POV enough. Why? Because I always seem to be stuck with the absolute most retarded CV players in this game. I don't have hard numbers but my feeling is always the same: when a CV is in the match it's lost, until proven otherwise. IF they even awake at all it's always the same BS: no scouting, no fighter support (they just let pass full torp/ bomber squads right next to their fighters to target the BB which happened to have spawned on a lonely spot), flying around the map in a vain effort to snipe the other CV, pulling back their planes right over the DD positions while in pursuit of the enemy fighters or suicide pushing in the front battle lines like complete morons. Yes I know: there are exceptions to my general experience but those players are so rare I don't even count on the chance being on my side. So if that line could be exterminated forever I'd be so muck more happy. And for the plane fans: there is another WG title which might be more appealing to you. And for WG: give every non CV ship a base AA rate of 100 please. tl:dr: CV: go away! Please.

Parallel on topic: am I the only one not even bothering to actually try out this new line split? I freaking hate this line splits! Regarding the US cruiser line the real fun I had with those ended after St Louis.... That ship was so much fun for me. Playing it in a BB style-ish. After that I had to adjust to a DD style-ish. Cleveland 6 was a learn to love ship for me. But after that it was 1 big misery for me: making an appointment for next week for when and where the shells would re-enter, the extra-ship citadels and the lacking of torpedo teeth when needed? And now there are more? Thanks but no thanks. From what I've seen on topic of the W: it's another highly situational ship tl;dr: what's the fun in the higher US cruiserlines?

Il n'y a pas un game mode 100% Francophone?!

Lol from what I know from a business POV I'd say their strategy is pretty sound. I picture the people @ WG as having the same genetic malfunction as we all do: being game nerds over all. Putting a game together, free to play and trying to seduce players into investing RL cash in it. And they're doing a fine job in that. Wows is perfectly playable for FTP fans. Paying for it mainly gives economic advantages (XP, credit income a.s.o.). You can use my suggestions if you want to apply for a job: buying free XP is IMO ridiculously expensive: for me 1:100 would be far more reasonable, but that's my opinion. And when will they finally make a "trial purchase" on premium ships? Trial buy a premium for say 10% of the actual price to play, say again, 20 games in it. That should give a player enough experience whether he/ she likes the ship or not. And if so; deduct that 10% from the actual purchase total price.

Tighter grouping of shells from same turret?
Ferry_25 replied to Crowarior's topic in General Discussion
This is already going beyond my brain capacities. Care to give a somewhat more simplified proposal? I suck in the realm of window licking, keyboard face rolling suckers regarding maths.... -
Winrate on stats - how is this even possible?
Ferry_25 replied to Ukio's topic in General Discussion
Those are actually worse than my virtual stats... It's because of my teams, the maps, MM, RNG and the ships. It can't be possibly me! So next time you check my stats the WR is in theory fact at least 99.9%... -
OP, what's your problem my friend? I know you and I clashed daggers in debate on the Forum before. Which I highly appreciated because it was always on the topic not on the person (not always that is ). But this? If I didn't know better I'd say you're getting so sour and bitter. What's the problem dude? Wows tiredness? I recently took a month break. It really helped. I hope you pull yourself together.

I haven't really got a good idea of that premium ammo is supposed to work. I assume it'll give better pen chance and do more dmg. But perhaps I'm oversimplifying it here. Now I tried WOT as well. But being able to drive 5 seconds, get tracked and shot to kingdom come all the times isn't my idea of fun. And no I don't even want to bother to LTP. I just quit when I found out I can't move at all while being tracked: I have one good track left, why can't I move in an obliged circle like we can in Wows when ruddered or even move at glacial speed when engined even without last stand? I've had situations where I could have crippled back just that few feet to get into cover. Anyways: being a wallet warrior myself I'm having great objections in paying for combat advantage. I'm fine with the way things are now: the combat advantages (cammo's) are affordable for everyone, including the FTP-ers. The combat signals can only be earned or won. In which again all types of players are having equal chance to gain. For the economical benefits to pay for? NP for me. But being able to buy ammo with better qualities? That'd be a deal breaker for me. If only to imagine the wine threats on the Forum alone: "boohoohoo! I bought premium ammo and RNG-us is still messing with me!"

My fellow wowericans. as of lately I'm struggling with this issue. And I want to know your POV. For now I'm absolutely assuming it's me, not the ship. My increasing aggravating issue is the following: I shoot at a perfectly visible target, during the shell travel time that target goes undetected. As of late I'm getting to assume that salvo will miss. Doing an overpen/ pen without dmg in the BEST case. I get it: even when fully detected I won't ever hit that dev strike every time. But now it feels like I'm shooting at a visible target, which goes undetected during the shell travel time and having quantum mechanical powers seeming to be a "blind target" back in time. In those situations I say; 'oh dear. the target has vanished. This'll be a miss.' and to my despair I'm right 95% of the times.... So: is it (most likely) me: learn to aim, throw your TFH in the bin or am I on to something?
-
Small edit to my OP: take it by a slight grain of salt and approach it in a humorous way please....
-
Here too. Rarely but it happens. Just a 1/1000 role of the dice. Don't waste your deto flags on BB's though. It is SO rare.
-
Indeed it does. My opinion on CV players is less than trash. Somehow I nearly always to end up with the absolute most retarded players. Going full speed ahead towards the most highly contested caps, flying their planes all around the map to be obliterated when trying to strike a US team and letting the torp/ bomber squads just pass their fighter squads unharmed regardless of pinging/ warning. and those are the "good" players I'm destined with.... Totally agree. My stats suck. But I'll bet a years' salary they'd be significantly better without the *edited* out there. Every air "C" player I meet gets a report from the start. They might neutralize that by actually playing. But CV's are my absolute highest report leak in this game. And perhaps you're an excellent CV player. So by definition when I meet you you and I will be red to each other. My POV is nothing personal. I'm just getting so sick and tired to be fed up with the glue sniffing *edited* player which has the most influential ship in the game over and over and over again it's really grabbing my throat. And before you start; my CV games/ stats suck as well. That's why I didn't touch that pestilence since over 2 years now.

Like epicenter: I love it nor hate it. To answer our issue point wise I quoted part of your OP 1 you get a warning far advanced. So if you're playing a BB you should take pre emptive measures to get in range earlier. A.k.a. you're a border hugging noob in the first place 2 see 1 3 see 1. With one more word of advice: in a DD check the line up when the match is loading and see how much (potential) radars there are on your and the red team and react accordingly 4 Good; everything bad for CV's is good for this game. So Cyclone every game please.

OP. I have a mission for you: search for the absolute sucker in the realm of sucking regarding Yamato ingame. And if you bribe the right people, you might get a clue of my whereabouts in the 25th dimension. heck my Yamato is truly playing the most realistic IRL role possible in this game: rotting in port. I've given up 1 year and a half (app) to take that lose guarantee out. So far my games have been so utterly boring in this vessel: I spawn solitary, If I move one inch forward I'm having 8 fans who's HE will give me a 99% guaranteed fire and off to the next match before the 5th minute. And those are my epic games. So from my POV; Nelson all the way. I've having a blast in that ship. Mushas-sais-no will be the last ship in my port. Heck I'dd sell it for 1 credit should it ever reach my port.... Sincerely considering selling Y for that matter. The only (next of being a OCS collector) reason it's littering my port is because is it's one of the "holy 3" for me: Yamato, Arizona and Bismarck (/ Tirpitz). edit: from my POV: Nelson now. Mushashi never.

Thanks for the feedback people! ROLF! With wowericans I meant no specific nation, just fan clowns who love this game. and indeed I truly forgot the one exception: one shooting RN boats in their pathetic smoke. Really: that never ever is getting boring. But considering your valuable feedback I'll change the tin to plumbum foiled hat. Hey: that's a heavier element in the periodic system than Tin is! So it is really more serious...

Balance problem division vs no division
Ferry_25 replied to U156dasboot's topic in General Discussion
I'm not sure that's a huge issue. We ROFL stomped a TTT and Bl4ck vs us triple div today. No, not any legendary part from me. But it doesn't say anything. Just keep playing your role and you'll be fine. Proof for the critics... 20180611_223800_PGSB110-Grossdeutschland_25_sea_hope.wowsreplay -
Yamato RIP. Forget this junk its pathetic. Big fat elephant in the water
Ferry_25 replied to Goktsu's topic in General Discussion
I completely share your POV OP. Yama was one of my primary goals to achieve in WOW's. Now it's playing exactly the same role as the RL Yamato. Rotting away in port. I really can't see the fun in this piece of ship either. If you dare to move 10 meters ahead you'll be focused out right away with HE spam with it's obligatory napalm paint. Any HE hit = fire. An HE hit on Yama equals a fire. Yes you can heal that back but with the 100% fire chance the next salvo's will burn you to it's deserved place. And in my case the return salvo's. Now to say they don't do anything is exaggerated. But the sheer numbers of bounces, shatters, pen with no dam has made me giving up this junk altogether. Also my WR is one of the most abysmal in this game. So indeed: I don't want to burden my team with this joke of a ship and giving them (and me) an almost guaranteed loss. So regardless of the hate reaction you get with your post; I agree you all the way. Yamato is my absolute biggest disappointments in this entire game. -
OP. seeing your stats and yes: too little amount of battles to say anything conclusive, I'm still at awe. You're doing absolutely great. As a response to your question: will the "steam rolls continue?" The honest answer is yes. However: if you keep performing this way you'll have a major impact in your matches. Losing streaks are part of the deal. Indeed a playing brake can do wonders. If you have the "forbidden to win" mark on your account (which happens to all of us) it's a good idea to park the game for a while. In a "win prohibition" period it's easy to get frustrated and make more mistakes, inflaming the issue even more. Also: there is nearly always "that 1 ship in a line which you can't make to function, no matter what." Good examples in my case are Yamato (does those AP shells freaking EVER fuse?), Z-52 (could I please have Yamato concealment on this wretched boat?) and more examples. Shortly put: you're doing fine OP.

Parallel on topic. What's the secret with Warspite? Seeing my stats and in my "field experience" I'm not doing that bad with British BB's. No, no stuff of legend but decently-ish. Except for Warspite and QE. I don't have any clue of what I'm doing wrong with them. Seems to me I'm shooting tennisballs, have the "Rainbow warrior" cammo on it and seem to be the ultimate CV magnet in the entire game.
-
Thanks OP. I really thought I've seen it all. But you broadened my world POV seeming the first gamer (which I assume everybody is playing that role here and elsewhere) who doesn't like the challenge, for the main sake of a challenge... Really: the challenge alone is for me more than enough to accept it! I don't care about any ingame benefits! I couldn't care less if my shell chemtrails are red, white or whatever color. It's the challenge that thrills me. And as already mentioned: you can switch off the collection. But really: you're the first gamer I've ever met, coming from the C64 era where I actually used a tape drive to load in a game, who is having a problem with a mere challenge.....

Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.
Ferry_25 replied to albinbino's topic in General Discussion
Aw, that sucks. But rest assured: there'll be more premium ship missions coming. There's an Indianapolis mission going right now. And, absolutely not meaning to sound ungrateful for the free premium. Tachibana isn't the greatest DD around. Just a boatload of fun to play.
