I'm in doubt. AFT buffs my range big time. I did the same trick on Bogatyr.... But the fire chance is quite substantial...

I don't know OP. I just don't have a clue. It ALMOST seems like, us exprecienced noobs who knows what's it's about, seem to be put into teams who doesn't. I just call it the WWP. Weekend win-prohibition...

I had the same situation as well (not druk but in my beginners phase). They didn't even reply.

All of the above I agree with. Furthermore: you were tanking like a newby BB player in a straight line most of the time. Though a cruiser is the "mortal enemy" for a DD it is unwise to underestimate them. Not to mock you: I made the same mistake quite frequently. ah, it's a DD, I am in a cruiser. *very demonic look in my eyes* What can happen to me? Actually: yesterday I met a Granny in my Aoba (grinding fires for the challenge). Ahhhh! He's a T5, I'm a T6 CRUISER. I will wreck you in 5 seconds and move on to the next target. Close range? I don't care: see if you can hurt me when I'm full broadside (I just saw you launched torps, so that won't be a problem and I got my own). *very demonic look in my eyes quickly dissipating" because Granny put in her dentures and bit me to fire immunity in 2 or 3 salvos.... Complimented the guy of course. My point being: never ever understamate your enemy. Carrying a black belt I am extremely ashamed to have taken that painfull lesson in my case....

I love the B! Trained my captain till I got the AFT. Oh, that glorious range! I'll keep playing it! 1 day I'll have DE as well. Boy, are they going to hate me then!!

It is clear in port for which ship it's available. I put them on a few. being a wallet player I don't really mind the costs. I like the extra xp income. It goes to the captains as well. I'm a shipkeeper too so it always comes in handy for me. But it's your call always. What I am curious about: suppose you take a perm cammo on a ship, you sell the ship and later buy it back. Do you still have access to the cammo?

IMO St Louis, Bogatyr, Aurora, Diana and Emden are good brawlers. Those are the cruisers which can take a punch or 2 and not get 1 shot or -90% shot all the times when a BB looks at them funny from across the galaxy. I'm not saying other cruisers can't be awesome. The question was our opinion about brawling capabilities.

So... I started in Phoenix today. Actually had awesome battles in it! Detectability is worst in the tier (I guess I'm visible from outer space). But I did manage well. It's a WWP (weekend win-prohibition) day of course but did excellent games anyway. Applied tactics I learned in the higher tiers and it's working... Kicked the captain to 6 points (granted it's a Xp action period and I got the aye aye quite a few times so I am doing something right. Took vigilance as 3rd lvl skill since the other ones didn't seem adequate for this ship. Did you ever hear the joke of the Phoenix with armor? When being focussed down it's the quickest way for fire immunity. Other than that: I really start to like it!

I am simply flabbergasted and amazed you actually made profit... It's my main reason I let the wonderful T9-10 ships rust in peace most of the time. There are a lot of debates about this. For me it's too annoying demotivating to play at those tiers. it's not that I'm afraid something's at stake but I just don't enjoy doing my utmost best and getting punished by lousy losses in teadious boring camper matches. All the "physics" ingame aside. I have 1 absolute "life saving" advice for you. Whenever you have a BB's attention, move and dodge like hell. Alwasy assume any shot on or in a radius of 1 km around your ship = a citadel. The armor of all cruisers seems to be designed to take optimal an full maximal AP damage... I would love to have a mod which strips the armor completely. That way I'd only take overpens. Kidding of course: BB's are your worst enemies! Open fire when you're sure you have a good chance to get away/ or take cover from BB fire.

Could not be your cup of coffee. Happens. I never got beyond the training levels in WOT before I was bored out. Saw some YT movies about it and this is not for me. don't like to sneak fire in the bushes. I'll play a FPS for that. That tank would only encumber me. Too bad though: we could always use abled players. Seeing your stats, you're doing very fine in Wow's. Hope you'll reconsider and we meet in the playfield.

Like hell I will! Even if my winrate drops down to 1%. I will find a weak spot in the Sharn with my cruisers. Rammig does the trick in most of the cases!!

Liked this 1. losing from a Flamu team. THAT's an achievement! Usually that guy hides behind an island and comes around when he can killsteal. in effect leaving his team with -1 ship for 90% of the battle. I know: cause I met him a few times...

I'm not inclined to buy it. Granted. The red-white-blue are ALMOST correct. But the reviews made me think against her. Shame. would love to add a French ship (to the RN fans: the biggest ally in Dutch navel history was France) though.

I liked the ARP movies. Also like the ships. But it wouldn't ruin my day if they'd put it on sale or something. We get it for free. Frankly I don't play them very often. With the last mission I quickly Atlanta-ed my way through the shooting phase. I'f off for holidays soon and didn't want to get stuck with yet another girlcaptain without boat... And I agree: Takao should be there! Saying "captan" with her blush!!!

The lemming train with defense party can work perfectly, if only the train pushes agressively. And it can lead to awesome massive battles if 2 trains happen to head in the same direction. IMO best tactic is split up in equal-ish forces, push slowly and if 1 side is caught by a huge force: go in defense and let the other side rush to join (either push on or retreat). Nothing absolute watertight but what is in a sea game?

I'm guessing you didn't have this before? Maybe a clean re-in could do the trick...

Come on! You did 8 matches now 8 kills, avv 50 k dmg. I'd say that's a good start! In the beginning I used to think a new prem ship will give me a Kraken at least every other game. Nope. And as I saw the YT about scharn it's a new tactical play. (correct me if I'm wrong: don't have it) It's neither a classical BB (snipe at first and after that bulldozer over them) nor a classical cruiser but something in between. With 8 games I would never have get the hang of a ship. In the beginning I thought Impregnator was BS when I bought it. Now it's my second serial killer. And when a new ship comes into play people tempt to focus it while it's in the hype phase. Petty envy? Don't know. But if you're focussed out, not even Aerroon in a Yamato can escape. Neither can you or me. I'd advice you to hang on and give it some time. I always wait a while before deciding to purchase or not and watch the YT movies very closely. (keeping in mind those are the 1 out of 50 awesome battles they play).

Hm. true that the credit income - loss comes appearant from T7 and above. Could be a few things in your case: the losing streaks we all have to deal with. It's as simple as this: there are "win-prohibition days." I always stop and call it a day. Better luck next time. It could also be "that 1 ship in the line in which you suck." And most people have them. Colorado is notorious for that matter in de USN BB line. I was as frustrated as you are when grinding it. Much later I started to get the hang of it. Nowadays I quite often take Colorado out and have good games. Seeing your stats you're grinding fast IMO. A mistake I made as well. The higher the tier you get is NOT making it simpler. It's getting harder in fact. My advice: keep going and pratcising. I know it's a [edited]to lose credtis but on T7 it's to be overseen. 2 mediocre T5 matches quickly earns it back. From T9-10 it becomes a different matter IMO.
