I'm in between both sides of the argument. I've mentioned this in other threads (got hereticised for it...): capping is a too dominant feature. Lots of nice battles when the fighting finally started nicely have been cut short by that 1 annoying DD who sails and waits in a cap. On the other hand cap pressure is good for game dynamics though. My opnion is to make capping harder (longer captimes/ more points to start with in the beginning/ smaller cap areas etc) the higher the tier. Edit: the main focus should Always be shooting the sh*t out of each other instead of a "mario-bros like" abomination of capturing points. That's what Tetris is for...

Well I've installed WoT and got 2 or 3 opening, learning session rounds. But I found out it's not my thing. No offense to WG: it looks stunningly beautiful and I guess for the fans it's really fun to play. But driving/ hiding and shooting in the bushes? Nah. not my hobby. In my case I guess the word "ship" enchants me. My vehicle does need to exceed 10 tons and not be encumbered by gravity. So whether my ship is floating on water or in vacuum it doesn't matter, I love it. Also: the more guns the better. And the heavier (and more of those guns) the even better. So big fan of Wow's. Besides that: Sins of a Solar Empire as well. SHOULD WG ever come up with a "world of Sins" -like version like Wow's.... Where you can work your way from a Shriken to an Ankilon... That would be a huge dream for me. I'm keeping an eye in Fractured Space as well. Eve online? It looks good but I've heard so much bad stories about that I didn't pay any anttention to that at all. The only gravity-encumbered vehicle game that did enchant me was Mech Warrior! Nova and Cauldron Borne (because it was so PITCH ugly as a 90-tonner) were my favorite mechs. Yeah there were tanks in there as well! Fortunately for them my mechs had huge blind spots. Unfortunately for them: those spots were right below my legs (yeah stolen from Magic, the Gathering: another former passion of me, same as RPG (still a passion)). Edit: looking with a keen eye to Hybrid wars as well....

It is. But know the reciever gets a E-mail first whether he/ she or not will accept it. It won't show in his port right away before accepting it.

I've become a complete fan of the new system. In my case: I'm an average player. And a wallet player. Lynch me if you want but I'm contributing on making this wonderful game keep going. I'm doing my utmost best to play my role and work for the benefit of the team by trying everyting in my might to make the game a win. I will never (ok, hardly ever) have those glorious .25M damage games you see on YT. With the "old system" I got punished over and over by doing that in the higher tiers. Heck I even gave up on playing above T8. With the "new system" I finally get a small profit for trying my best, while I have the feeling the "YT aces" are still winning very high profits. Which I sincerely grant them. And now there is still the trhill of something at stake... Did a major screw-up yesterday: getting torped in my Kagero while capping. lying still. Yeah, beginners mistake. But at least it does prove I'm not a donkey because I've fallen for that numerous of times! -60k loss. Don't mind, don't care: my bad, my bleed. Maybe if I fall for this a couple of dozen times I MIGHT learn my lesson, but I wouldn't keep your hopes up too much... In T_H_0_R's case: they're investigating the CV play. There is abviously something very wrong there. Please give WG the benefit of the doubt in that matter.

I'm using C because of the shorter ruddershift. I clearly notice the difference. C feels completely free and able to make a handbreak turn. Not using def AA though. Usually I dodge my way out of torpspreads or wiggle through the bombs anyway. Higher AA is somewhat nice but mostly to take 1 or 2 planes with me with every run.

IMO it's naieve to assume there isn't a way of cheating. Where there's a game, there's a cheat. Dont think it's such an issue here though. Sometimes I see people accuse each other of "hacking." Like you would hack a game like this and risk imprisonment if you'd had those skills/ tools.... If I would have them I'd go to much more profitable "areas" than a computergame... Edit: looked @ your Fusocake thread. That's awesome. Did you marry her in the mean time?

Yes it does but that's not the reason I asked. I'm fond of virtual violence: ingame of in movies. But this is RL violence and I'm getting sick of that: there's already too much of that in the world. I know there's a thin red line between a prank and real gore. And this is over the top IMO.

You hav 50 detonations im 56k games. That's on par with the statistical chance. It sucks you had 3 in "a row." I'd advise you to see the larger picture here. edit: 5.6 K

I never said it's perfect. Though you might want to reconsider the need of prem cons. Those were your money bleeders. With the new economy I hardly use them anymore.

Thanks for your feedback. Good to see you're hiding your stats. As a reaction: T10 bored me to death. I've got the Montana and Yamato. All games (ok95%) were the same: camping at the map borders and doing nothing. When I played my role as a BB I only got punished for it. I used to mix up the Montana with the Eerie, because of the vastly superior armor of the Eerie. And playing a Yamato only got me focussed out (because Yamato).. Heck I even gave up on T9 for the same matter. But now I'm eager to come back @ T10 now I no longer have the feeling of being punished to play my role. This is my last time to reply to a stat hiding pussy regarding my own stats though. Loser.

Well, this is exactly what I was asking/ looking for: a decent reward for a decent game in the high tiers. I'll never be able to cope with the superaces. Neither do I pursue that. And I don't mind if something's at stake. I took the leap of faith having read somewhere like: just play your role and you don't have to worry about costs. Heck! It works. Yeah there's always that 1 or 2 derp/ badluck matches in which I'll bleed. But I don't care. I see the new system sinking in slowly but surely. Even caught some BB's getting into motion! Now that's even more rare than a CV on high tiers. Speaking of which: good thing you're adressing this issue with CV's. Whithout them the game is so much more boring. Good CV players should always be a PIA for the enemies.

We've been through this a long time ago. IMO the concensus was it would highly add to realism. Related to this topic is why all the turrets have to face the same direction? But it would become too much a simulation game. We'd all be too busy with what ammo is in what barrel and to which point is that gun aimed at. 1 good suggestion came out of it: make expert loader viable to all situations for cruisers. In case you don't know: now it's only working when all your guns are loaded. Cruisers need to switch ammo types the most often. But AFAIK we never got a response to that suggestion.

Lol. Though I have the feeling the majority of the PB is male I don't want to make the assumption they all are. When I refer to a player I always check the profile. Mostly it is all blanc so I'll write his/ her. There's also the fact in my language (Dutch) Kim is a both gender used name. Other examples: Robin, Dominique, Bo. And there's no way of telling a username refers to an actual name (in Crusherhead's case I have no doubt it does though ). I am ashamed: yesterday I got recognised by some people who I didn't rec-ed... Would it be an idea for WG to make some mark on players who are active on the forum? Of course to be turned off as well if you don't want that.

I'm a believer. This update is by far the best ever IMO. as long as you play your role, there's nothing to be feared in economy. Of course: there will Always be that 1 bad luck/ screw up game in which you'll make a huge loss. Finally! it pays off to play your role in battle and no longer having to be afraid of being punished for that. IMO everyone who is complaining is a camping noob, too scared of going into the action. Fine by me: either you'll learn the trick or get back to Tetris. Bye bye, don't slam the door on your way out. Please WG: don't yield to the whining and keep up this excellent update.

Something similar lots of time. I didn't experience your particular problem. Mine is that it seems impossible to remeber altered key settings. It's hilarious: I like to steer with my Arrow keys instead of wasd. 8 or 9 patches ago Wow's suddenly stopped saving those settings so I have to reset them every time I start the game. Forgetting it sometimes which has put me in awkward positions in battle... Now I seem to remember a thread about solving the key problem. But that seemed I had to repropram my entire windows registry. So no go for me there.
