Loran_Battle in ranked. it was an awesome match in which I sadly screwed up big time. Defending A. Wanted launch a spread and with my double check on the minimap he was lying exactly aligned with the "A" so completely overlooked him... We went through the needle and back: my 2 torps didn't wreck him. Rest of the match was a very aggresive massacre from both sides. But man, did I feel sick to my stomach of derping off that bad...

As long as the insult of not bringing 1 Dutch ship in this game persists I'm hoping the RN line (Michiel de Ruyter to the RN fans) will come in 2135. Heck I even see the "common wealth" line in port. WTF? are they introducing the mighty fleet from the former British colonies first?! What will we get? The awesome Bangladesh battleship which played a profound role in naval history? No offense to Bangladesh for this matter.

Of course a big tradegy for the crew. but it seems to be the typical performance of the "oh so dearly wanted" RN in military aspect....

Hmm. Any mods installed which might cause the problem? Sure you've downloaded the correct server? Maybe a claen re-install does the trick. Otherwise send a ticked to CS.

Ok, I guess I'm having an acute brainfailure attack right now. I honostly can't see your problem... IMO this is a very nice result for you? 187K before costs. You didn't post your credit income details so I can't see the net result. Even if you took all the prem cons and most expensive paint I still would be surprised if this was a credit loss. Am I missing something completely here??

Well I'm very bad with maths so correct me if I'm wrong please. I think your argument is not valid. For simplicity lets say 50% teams are good and 50% bad. So you'll have a 50-50 chance of getting into either of them. The chance per game is always the same. So is any combination of repeating games. F.e. the chance of G,G,G,G,G is the same as B,B,B,B,B or any given combination. In an infinite number of battles it should average out to 50%. oooh wait, and that's where my skill comes in. In the case I'm a good player (a fact of which I gladly leave others to decide) I can tip the balance to winning more often. Is that what you mean?

In theory this sounds awesome. I could imagine a long duration battle in which a beach landing is simulated. 1 fleet attacks the beach: sending the tanks to shore and the planes can take of and land from the carriers. The defenders can have airfields on land, tanks on land and a counter fleet to harras the attacking fleet. It would require a vast map of course and insane teamwork to accomplish. And I'm absolutely clueless: but I figure it would take some programmers a few nights to type on their keyboards to make that possible... But how AWESOME would it be?! Heck I'd even pay to join such a battle!

Whole game AFK-ers are quite rare in my xp. The vast majority are slow starters. What I don't understand is why those slow starters chose DD's or CV's to play with. Those classes are vital to come into action asap.

First of all: it's just an idea I'm having. Don't have a clue if it's viable or technological possible or not. My idea is derived from the "the most stupid question is the 1 that isn't asked." What I've seen is 1 of the biggest frustrations ingame are the "potatoes." People who have no idea how to play. Would it be an idea for Random battles to introduce a "veteran line up?" Stats aren't telling the whole story. I consider myself a veteran and exprienced in all the shiplines. By far I am the .3M damage aces who are lurking around. Neither do I care to achieve that status. But I know what I'm doing: playing my role to win. Even if I'm at the 12the place in the endresults. F.e. I had once a game won for the team by staying put and do nothing while hiding in their cap. The tears sprung into my eyes for seeing everybody fight to the end to protect me while I could do nothing whithout giving my position away (and that would have meant a certain loss because capping was the only viable option). What I mean is introducing a "veteran random battle option." Qualify someone as a veteran with X numbers of battles under their belt. F.e. 2000. I'm sure I'm speaking for the vast majority of people if I say I don't care if I have to wait in queue for a few minutes to get a good line up. What I am NOT saying is the "newer" players are inferior. Heck: I've been a potatoe myself (And sometimes (ok, quite frequently) make mistakes beyond comprehension still). Also I like to polish my "Nagan club" from time to time and seal club the newbies (that's by my Kamikaze-R is my top serial killer now). Heck I've been seal clubbed countless of times: and I'm glad if that. That only made me a better player! So... I'm curious to your opinion of my idea. Don't spare me: I like to hear your feedback. Never tried the torp reload. Smoke it too important to skip. Should it be instead of turbo I'd give it a try. So I took spotterplane as well. Would it be possible to make a "best consumable poll" as well OP? I'd like to hear peoples opinion about that as well. Or maybe first and second. IMO DCP will be voted as the best in 99% of the cases.

Never had this situation so never thought of it. It is making me curious though. I already figured out it takes a short while to get all torps launched (.5 seconds-ish). So what if you get the hard 1 during a salvo: is the entire spread lost, part of it or is it launched alltogehter? And this brings up another Q I have: when is a mutual wrecking considered a "flesh wound" and when not? I've had this dozens of time. Really had the feeling I got down first and after a split second the red. No FW. Is there some "time interval" needed when it is counting as a FW or not? (like the double strike)

Hope you don't quit altogether bro/ sis. I really like your input on the forum for starters and would love to meet you in combat. Whether friend or foe (foe for the max 20 minutes. Friends forever of course).

Phew! I thought I was a great wyrm at my age (43). Glad to see there's still hope for me! Hahahaha! WTF does age matter? I'm playing the game cause I want to have a good time. Since I've given up my WR obsession (I only have 1/12th influence on that anyway in random) and with the IMO amazing new economy I want to have a good time PtW (P stands for mainly play (also pay in my case but that's another matter)). But I enjoy a lost but awesome match as well. I've handed more compliments to my "enemies" than to my allies since they phased in the Karma. And like JapLance put it adequately: tino. (there's no alternitive). If so I'd try that 1 too. But they don't need to hurry: I like Wow's very much. Yeah RNG can troll big time but I also see the sense of humor in that. Often I am SO amazed I survived a particular salvo I lose focus (WTF? I survived? I SURVIVED!!!!) and get wrecked by the next! I'm around for more than a year now and since the beginning I have 1 ever working rule: If I feel frustrated, I'll use the alt-F4 hack...

I have suggested the option to save battle results on my own HD. I can understand they don't want their servers to be clogged up. But I like to see them back sometimes.

I never tried it. That 1 in a 1000 situations where you're alone in a smoke cloud and need it? usually you're on a torp diet long before you can activate it. I need the turbo boost way more often!
