  1. Bist du sicher Walther? Ich hab das auf den ersten Blick auch gedacht, allerdings sind die ganzen Rettungsflöße (Carley Floats) doch auf dem gleichen Bild direkt auf Deck und auf dem Dach des Decksaufbaus zu sehen. So schön auffällig in Rot-Schwarz gestreift. Und es wären die einzigen 2 Rettungsmittel auf dem ganzen Schiff in dieser Ausführung. Material scheint Holz zu sein.
  2. Gerne, aber bitte nur wenn dann auf dem jeweiligen von ihr kommandierten Schiff eine Badewanne auf dem Deck aufgestellt wird. Nina ist ja bekannt für ihre etwas eigenwillige Auffassung von Hygiene. Wenn jemand allerdings Captain Catarina für die Italiener vorschlagen wollte, dem müsste ich mich entschieden verweigern. Allein beim Gedanken an deren Pilzzucht kommt mir das Grausen.
  3. Die Kartenänderung finde ich jetzt nicht so toll. Damit geht wieder ein eng umschlossener Raum verloren wo es meistens zum Nahkampf kommt. Schade.

    Now, THIS looks rather amazing..... at least animation wise. Flipping the sqad over left or right wing, plane for plane, that is worlds better than that weard pulling up till the planes stall to beginn the dive. And it seems not to have that strange perspective somewhere in between first person and 3rd person like in the test. Is this taken from another game? Or where ist the screen from? Aiming like this however would be too easy on the one side.... on the other side, it would be a kind of aiming more konsistant with the rest of the game. Might work if you have to position the squad sideways of the target, that could kinda throw the aim. Like setting the drop circle oval not straight but under 45°, then the perfect attack would be under 45° from behind... with shipmovement and squadmovement that would be quite interresting to aim. About altitude and multiple players and the other suggested mechanics..... not so much. Pls not.

    Yes, I got one. @Wargaming Let me try to be a bit more constructive about my complain about the Flak-Sektor-Selector-Menu and contribute to an effort to salvage at least as much as possible of the remaining gameplay. As it seems the current day´s are the swansong for the carrier-gameplay for all who Need a bit more than simple run-and-gun, I would like to have at least adequate, and as comfortable to use as possible, Tools to defend myself against the cream of the crop of those who are happy with what carriers seem to be in the future. The Sector-Selector as it was presentet in Test3 is very uncomfortable to use as it is. As the real reason for the rework seems to be that you want to make the game fit for console-play (which is the real death-sentence to RTS), the awkward System might stem from the fact that consoles have a lot less of keys available. So a System of: Keep button A pushed --> get menu --> hit crossbar left or right to select --> loose button A........... seems to be perfectly comfortable and fast on console ( I can´t really tell, as my total of console Play amounts to less than 4 hours over my current livespan of 36+ years), however it is not comfortable to use for on PC with hit button A, get menu, use mouse to click on left or right side of menu. I would estimate that that Needs at least 4times as much time than on console, and totaly throws your aim in that time..... which is kinda unfair to your established Player base who is currently solely using pc (and Laptop). So please put at least enough effort and thought into it, to adress the somewhat (in future) different handling characteristics of the systems your Customers are using. The menu might do well for console, but for PC it would be much better to just use 2 dedicated keys.... a Standard PC Keyboard has no shortage of them. A couple Points more: - From a non-cv perspective it feels unfair to have a lack of abillity to cripple an attack-run on your ship. Short of gunning down more than 2/3 of the entire squadron, there will be no loss in power of the first run, as a plane of the rest of the squadron fills in if an attacking one ist going down. For the second run you would still Need to shoot down more than half of the planes to cripple the attack. - I would apreciate it, if the skills of my carrier-captains are resett when the rework gets live and that I can retrain them on a ship of my choice for free. Quite frankly, as they are they will be useless for me, as future-carriers seem totally not my can of soup and it feels unfair to make me pay in Dubloons and/or copious amounts of time and Elite-XP to make them serviceable elsewhere. As an afterthought.... let´s test what happens when I write stupid.

    Ähm.... kinda offtopic.... Are the "offensive" words in the Posts automatically censored with "edited", or is some poor sod really reading all of it and editing it? If it is done automatically (which I would absolutely asume), is there somewhere a list of "offensive" Words not to used? I´m asking because in my previous post is this big "edited" and I´m pretty sure that I just used the not very offensive common frase for the opposite of intelligent.

    Well, there is no sugarcoating.... from me it get´s a solid dislike. The reasons? Well there are certainly the things most complain about, like the almost utter lack of controll of the ship and ist consumables at all times and the edited selector for the flak-priority and some other stuff. However the main reason for me is, the complete Absence of any Kind of thrill. There is Little to no ineraction with the enemy cv, aside from bombing him or getting bombed by him. The "fighters" are not counting, as they are only AI.... I´m speaking of pvp. CV-Play seems to be reduced to: start planes, scramble to target, drop ordinance, turn around, drop ordinance, turn around, drop ordinance.... repeat, repeat, repeat..... Ooooh, yes... forgot that there is a bit of wiggling around to dodge flak.... very engaging.... not. The - Absence of having to return your flight to the carrier - lack of flight deck handling time - generell faster planes? (might just feel like) - tripple attack per squadron - low dmg per attack (yeah, I get it, that is the only possibility to somewhat ballance out the aforementioned Points) transform the current brutal Alpha-Strikes with their lengthy time in between to a sort of almost continous harassment for an unfortunate picked target. Dodge and have a reprieve? Forget about that. He´ll have 2 more attack-runs, and then will be back in much less than half the time he would currently Need. Well, let´s see how the Folks will like that, when they´re confronted with it. The low dmg per attack (at least at the lower tiers) makes a dev-Strike almoust or entirely impossible..... so the cv will be the only class that is denied that Kind of satisfaction? I know that is anoying when it happens to oneself..... but still, a dev-strike is something so massively satisfying when you deal it, that I for one don´t want to miss it. The test boil down to that once the novelty of the new has worn off, it just gets downright boring.
  9. Mit ein Problem ist halt das alles was tatsächlich noch gebaut wurde weniger einstecken kann als die beiden großen Towns - Edinbourgh und Belfast. Wir haben ja jetzt schon die Diskrepanz das die Fiji vor der Edinbourgh stehen muß weil sie kleiner ist, obwohl sie später gebaut wurde.

    Website said that I´m participating.... but I´ve never got a Mail and can´t download the Client.... Nonethless..... from what I´ve seen on YT, it Looks like the poor guy who is the intended target of the cv is kinda worse off the currently on the LS. Currently you get at least a reprieve if you manage to dogde or he kinda misses.... but now you´ll be harassed for like minutes, till the squads are spent, and you can´t use repair because of fear of new dot from the next squad?
  11. Wegen euren Werften.... Nutzt doch die Binnenschiffwerften (an der Elbe) mit. In Dessau haben sie jedenfalls Kähne mit 75m Länge gebaut. Für Typ VII Boote sollte das gehen. Um den Tiefgang entsprechend auf Flussniveau zu bringen, kann man ja noch Pontons für die erste Fahrt den Fluß runter dranpacken. Endausrüstung dann in Hamburg. Am Rhein könnte man dann auch noch Boote bauen, aber vielleicht besser erst wenn ihr die Niederlande eingenommen habt. Sonst gibt´s Probleme mit ans Meer kommen.
  12. Aber sehr spät. Die Klasse ist für die Japaner wohl in etwa das was für die Deutschen Typ XXI und Walther sind. Ansonsten sind die japanischen U-boote meines Wissens eher nicht so als konstuktive Erfolgsgeschichten bekannt. Ein paar interresante Sachen sind dabei, aber abgesehen von den Kleinst-Ubooten und den Long-Lance-Torpedos sehe ich da nichts so tolles. Apropos Kleinst-Uboote..... gibt es bei euch eigentlich einen Kleinkampfmittelverband? Gerade zu Kriegsbeginn hätten Kleinkampfmittel und Kampfschwimmer sehr viel potenzial.

    Die Aufzüge sollten mehr quadratisch sein, da die Spannweite der Flugzeuge normalerweise höchstens 4-5m größer als deren Länge ist. Da ist diese riesige Breite unnötig. Länge ist optisch in Ordnung. Kanten vom Quadrat abschrägen. Da würden bestimmt die Führungen vom Aufzug sitzen. Die Aufzüge sind ja Decksdurchbrüche und, egal ob gepanzert oder nicht, deshalb eine Schwachstelle. Deshalb so groß wie nötig, so klein wie möglich.

    Projekt - ein fiktiver Kreuzer

    Bezieht sich die Diskussion eigentlich noch auf den ursprüngich im Thread geforderten alleinfahrenden Handelszerstörer? Falls ja, was die Ami´s mit der DesMo gebaut haben ist für mich in der Beziehung der Inbegriff des Raiders. Das einzige was da noch besser sein könnte wären ein paar Torpedos und noch mehr Reichweite. Ansonsten hat die alles.
