So much this, history will always be difficult regardless of quality of sources (primary, secondary etc), since human accounts will always have their own particular bias based on that persons knowledge and experience. Contemporary sources will have their own influences and may not be privy to facts/knowledge available at that time which then become available at a later time to secondary sources. Secondary sources then have the "distance" of not having the direct "influence" of the received wisdom of the contemporary times, but may have current geopolitical influences put upon them. Look at the Chieftains dive into the perception Shermans were deathtrap as an example. Contemporary tankers swore blind their machines were inferior, and likely due to their own horrendous experience. However, the stats didn't back that assertion (also depends on quality of stat reporting there). So many factors go into assessing these types things, as in life it's more grey than black or white.

I went to WoT from here, thought I enjoyed WoWS so what could go wrong... Still play both occasionally, much prefer the ships tbh

Never played WoW myself either, and I know of Everqurest as SOE used to do Planetside 2, which was my first online MMP game (my clan Tag comes from that time). That game is still going too, although it'll never be what it was with the player numbers now far lower than they used to be. I know what you mean on the artwork though, but hey, they got a movie out of it (never seen it). Wish they had finished the Halo movie rather than it becoming District 9!

Yeah it's a reference to Jingles, his avatar on World of Warcraft is a gnome, and there's a long running joke when people inevitably have to correct Jingles in the comments section of his videos that those people are sent to to Salt Mines for their insolence

From a lot of the responses Jingles has a lot to answer for Shame WG have managed to displease even the Gnome salt mine overlord for WoWS (they'd already done that for WoT a while ago).

Jingles playing closed Beta was what got me started on Open Beta.

It ain't broke...don't fix it. Maybe try fixing the stuff that is broken and QC before it's released as a "fix". More unnecessary changes that drive the game in a less than satisfactory direction. Give me WOWS before CV reeeeework!

That's true, I just didn't feel like gambling at that point in the same way as Xmas crates are at that time of year.

Enterprise Was about to get JB when it was removed Love DDs but was on a break when Benham was available, for Smaland just about had the 2mil fxp but missed out when she was removed. Never been close to having the Black or Somers. As for Enterprise, preferred RTS CV, not really into the CV gameplay now (though it is nicer looking seeing the aircraft), so not as fussed. Although to be fair, I hardly play anymore and haven't touched a random battle really since the CV rework which is a shame. Sound like an old codger but I preferred the state of the game earlier in it's development.

Nah...that's just new secret rework skill available for doubloons.

Would this not be accurate training for new players for when their team tries to "win harder" in higher tiers...seems about right to me?

I could spend hours in places like that I've been to Munich a couple of times, loved the city and surrounding area (went on trips to Neuschwanstein Schloss, Oberammergau, King Ludwig's Linderhof palace), and of course enjoyed the different Bier Halle. I hope to go back to this museum someday...when we can do things like that again. Edit: Just looked up the link...I've been there! Clearly missed the Bismark model at the time
