    T7 RU Premium Leningrad: Great Ship, Awkward Captain

    So finally there is a second ship you can sail with For me personally the Leningrad looks promising but right now only my Gnevny captain is skilled appropriately (although no CE... 17 points are sooooo far away). Probably I will fit her with the turret rotation modification even though her dispersion suffers and more noticeably the torpedo launcher will turn slower. Luckily she has shorter range than the Kiev and therefore a smaller dispersion to begin with. But it looks like this is necessary to make her accessible for every other Russian DD captain T6+.
  3. I suspect they simply haven't enough data from the testserver. First of all this was delayed and they had to patch the testserver simply for the economy part and then pretty much everyone played T9 and T10 exclusively. Applying those numbers by a quick extrapolation probably doesn't work. And in addition there seems to be some bugs with the new teamplay values (0/xxx defence points huh?!). Therefore I don't think CV relevant changes for spotting and killing planes are correct either.

    Absolutely yes! And additionally I don't think there was enough data from the testserver to adjust the numbers for the low tiers accordingly because everyone player T9+T10. I am looking forward to a hotfix for adjusted ratios responsible for the credits income. To make it even worse I think the values under spotting damage, potential damage and most important defending points and capturing points are incorrect (not to mention how CV got screwed...).
  5. Well the new rudder modification can be great and helps her turn faster but still she has a worse turning circle. And in my experience it sometimes looked like "Awe! Look at my gliding skillzzz *sparkles*". She simply handles awkwardly including the necessary positioning. Maybe this is all workable but I find it this quite irritating to look at a T10 ship that lacks of this rewarding part anybody wants to grind towards. This is not exclusively a problem with the Khabarovsk but it is a weird concept in general. There should be a something to look forward to in all of the T10 ships. Having a ship that handles awkward the least isn't really motivating to go past the corresponding T9 ship in line (or maybe even before that).

    Tachibana useless?

    Regarding the normalisation: Tachibana did actually profit from the change. Before the patch 0.5.10 it was 8°, now it is 10°. Sources: reddit post for patch 0.5.6.1 (although there seems to be a typo) and the post by Ph3lan in this forum about 0.5.10 changes But like others said: it cannot be an issue of normalisation because HE doesn't care about it because of the explosion part. You want to hit parts like the superstructure even on DDs or really high on the side of the ship (definitely not a waterline shot).

    Mr.Conways response on USN cruisers

    For the Russian cruisers T9+T10 this may become an option. In many other cases stealth probably has a really high value, still. I would never use the module on a IJN cruiser. I tested this thing on the New Orleans and I didn't feel it was necessary at all and her detection range can be lowered to a convenient level, almost on par with the T8 IJN cruisers. For my playstyle I rate stealth much higher than the rudder shift boost.

    Der Großteil aller Spieler hat weder Probleme mit der Murmansk noch jammern sie darüber (höchstens als Gegner). Als durch Frustration geprägter Sonderfall solltest Du besser anders formulieren: "Ich bin mit der Murmansk nicht glücklich geworden." Dass andere dieses Schicksal erleiden können ist möglich, aber nicht so wahrscheinlich, um mit Bestimmtheit Steuerbords Unglück vorherzusagen.

    Was mir in den ganzen Posts hier noch aufgefallen ist: Das wird nicht besser/schneller gehen. Das Spiel und seine Ökonomie sind prinzipiell so aufgebaut. Wenn das mit der Fuso schon nicht ging, dann wird alles eine noch härtere Qual. Dabei helfen zu keiner Zeit Premiumschiffe.

    Oh well, you were faster than me . Just this morning I thought we could need a reference/guide on armour values based on the overmatching gun calibre. I think you can create you table right here in your forum post. Also a link to the overmatch mechanics of the NA forums would be great addition.
  14. My greatest achievement yesterday was the devastating destruction of a invisi firing Nicholas. A notable detail: I did this in my Scharnhorst, probably not known for her great accuracy. He/she kept sailing on a parallel course and managed to successfully guess the correct position the DD sailed to just by the beginning of the shell arcs. The DD then, probably frustrated by the fact that his/her own invisibility didn't work out as expected, stopped firing for a short time only to get closer and smoke up. This DD captain did a lot of things right and only one little detail: to be stationary in the own smoke, probably broadside, too. I sailed just a bit closer and again aimed at the starting location of the shell arcs for my torpedoes. One successfully hit the mark for a devastating strike against a target I have never actually seen while shooting or launching the torpedoes at it. The icing on this surreal cake: a 155k High Calibre. The let-down: the match was lost, the Solo Warrior was on the table, too In case of the replay or didn't happen doubt: Scharnhorst has the 6th sense! .

  18. Never had this problem and I would not have been proud of it at least. Sounds more like a justification... On topic: yes, I find it quite disturbing how far a couple of people are going at times. Certainly there are other games which involve destrution to some extend, too. To this day WoWs has shown me the craziest things in chat even though I had been around several other games of similar type. But apparently I did a rather good job avoiding such toxicity judging by the "tales of profanity" which is happening in other games. This is by far not a good or even an ok state and I really appreciate any tool such as a chat filter for WoWs. In the past a chat filter was one of the first features I used to disable in any other game because I felt mature enough to handle the usual nonsense of any given comunity. But I have seen enough to justify the use of such feature for the in-game chat of WoWs specifically. I would probably disable the chat altogether in those examples for the "WoWs is nothing compared to xyz" claim. But then again: what are we doing in a multiplayer online game if the communication has to be muted completely?! That is not a solution only an action against the consequence. This sport of "if I can't sink this guy's ship, I have to sink him/her in my verbal anger" is quite a common but bad habit. With regard of the poorly playing ones: I think my reports are to valuable for the poorly playing captain in random battles. If anyone receives a "plays poorly" from me it is because: a) was afk the whole time, b) really, really obviously did something to throw the game*. Those are obvious cases for playing poorly. I feel this should be "awarded". * throwing a game example: teammate starts to sail into the only area the slow enemy BB was sighted last while there was only 1 minute left.. And our team had 900 points while the enemy was stuck on 600 or 700... Of course showing a perfect broadside while doing this. The biting-into-your-own-keyboard kind of situation. Sunk by "friendly" torpedos, another case... I could continue, the point here: those are obviously poor decisions.

    Read carefully: "after using ... still" - this was not the first build I used. And btw: there is no such thing as the only build. Especially if things change and everyone needs to adapt. You need to test first to do this!

    They really did not only use a nerf bat on the Khabarovsk but a nerf bulldozer. While the longer reload time seems reasonable the stock range of 11.2 km is simply a joke of even larger proportion. After using a AFT+CE build on the PTS it still felt weird.

    Ich finde für solche Zahlenbeispiele warships.today eigentlich recht gut. Denn dort kann man den Zeitraum eingrenzen, zB. auf 2 Wochen. Für dieHatsuharu und alle anderen 7er DDs wäre das https://eu.warships.today/vehicle/4288558800/Hatsuharu . Leider scheint die Datenbank im Moment zu spinnen.

    Ja genau, gestern abend hatte ich genau diese Missionen noch erwähnt und musste dann heute feststellen, dass man nicht nur "versenke 15 x in der Schiffsklasse y" sondern sogar 25 von der jeweiligen Klasse x versenken muss! Und dann bekommt man auch noch so einen "vergoldeten Blumentopf" wie 10 Defensive Flackfeuer... JUHU! Oder man sieht es so:eine Woche WoWs "frei"

    Also die Kill-Missionen ignoriere ich manchmal komplett. Es ist auch nicht so, dass ich jeden Tag einen Kraken nach Hause bringe. Bei den ganzen killgeilen "Kameraden" im Team habe ich oft genug das Nachsehen und wenn ich so etwas wie "150k Schaden, 2 versenkt" in meiner Übersicht nach dem Kampf sehe, dann weiß ich ganz genau, dass ich rein von den ausgelöschten Lebenspunkte 4 Gegner versenkt habe aber nun einmal nicht rechtzeitig die letzten 1% wegklicken konnte. Kraken finde ich geht sogar noch einigermaßen, wenn es klappt passiert das "nebenher". Wesentlich ätzender finde ich die Missionen, wenn es heißt "versenke 15 X als Y". Dann müsste man wieder alle vier Schiffsklassen gleichmäßig oft fahren, durchaus gutes Timing für den killing blow haben und dann auch noch diese schiere Menge von 15 Stück davon bei jeder Klassenkombination schaffen! Nope nope nope!
