Cheers for that. Edinburgh should be good at firing torps under retreat. Has torpedo surface detection been put on GM3D too?

im becoming a bit nervous... chances of fire need to be nerfed?

I did this a while back. Farragut B hull with DE vs Warspite. Farragut HE spam hit rate (%) Predicted total damage on Warspite in 60 seconds (aka premium repair cooldown) 50% hit rate 28481 50% hit rate (with Damage Control System Modification 1) 26157 50% hit rate (with Damage Control System Modification 1 and Fire Prevention) 24414 42% hit rate (Warspite beginner WASD hack) 23903 Moral of the story... Using WASD and good positioning is OP. If someone starts HE spamming you retreat, start dodging and call for help. (A DD or stealth cruiser can take down a Khab or give you some respite) -

(Maybe Fiji or Dunkerque) -
General stats shouldn't change, they seem fair. RN torpedoes are very good, I've no idea why people are complaining. Here's Atago vs Edinburgh. Ship Torpedo Range (km) Speed (Knots) Surface detection (km) Damage Number Reload Ship Concealment (km) Launch distance (km) Time to Target (s) Time in water (s) Reaction time (s) Vigilance (s) Atago Type 90 10 62 1.6 17233 16 109 9 9.4 58.3 62.0 9.9 12.4 Edinburgh Mk IX** 10 62 1.3 15533 6 72 9 9.4 58.3 62.0 8.1 10.1 Minotaur Mk IXM 10 62 1.3 16767 16 96 8.8 9.2 57.1 62.0 8.1 10.1 Khabarovsk 53-39 mod. 3 10 56 1.1 15100 10 116 8.5 8.9 61.1 68.7 7.6 9.4 Both can stealth torp with a 1km buffer. Edinburgh is more manoeuvrable with OK arcs making her a reliable platform for stealth launching, she'll play a bit like Campbeltown. Atago has a devastating 8 torp broadside for yolo. Minotaur and Khab added for lols. (Minotaur is a torp spamming beast!)

Here's some high res pics of Neptune and Minotaur. > https://thearmoredpatrol.com/2016/08/25/wows-minotaur-and-neptune-pictures/ Minotaur looks fantastic, like a fully realised Tiger. Is there a British Pathe mod yet??

RN torpedoes sit in between most US and IJN torpedoes in general use. IJN = Good accuracy but bad reaction times. (not including OP tier 4/5) US = Low accuracy but great reaction times (not including OP tier 9/10) RN = Average accuracy and average reaction times. (This is a good thing!!)

Lot's of lovely German BBs to burn down. For Yokosuka and Walney Island! Category 1 47k plus obligatory close quarters expert. http://wowreplays.com/Replay/14863 -
Tashkent is roughly the same size as tier 6 cruisers, it's only 8m shorter than Leander! Gotta put those sunbeds and mini bar somewhere (Oh yeah, gimme those RN light cruisers now!)

Mahan B hull should be able to do 12,500 HE damage in 60 seconds agasint a lightly armoured cruiser like Indi. Indianapolis can only pump out 11,500 HE damage in 60 seconds agasint a dodging destroyer.
-
Izy has similar probabilities agasint tier 4 BBs as Khab does agasint tier 10 BBs. I've made several German BBs rage quit over the last few days testing it (Even without DE. ) 3-4 fire DOT is too high.
-
You'll just have to ram those BBs instead. I genuinely can't wait for an Atlanta to use radar on my smoke expecting to ROLFstomp a small squashy destroyer.
-
Don't forget Belfast has all 3. Radar, hydro and smoke.
-
Here's what I think HE DPM will look like for RN cruisers.
-
Fiji could be the ranked cruiser of choice at tier 7 (inc Flint, Myoko and Belfast) Look at that Manoeuvrability.
-
Whoops, I meant 100 seconds which is roughly the same for a stock cruiser/BB repair party cooldown (90-120 seconds) Izyaslav with DE will average 7.2 fires in 100 seconds agasint Nassau with a 65% main battery hit rate.
-
I don't really play BBs or cruisers but 3-4 fire DOT is over the top. 3 fires will remove 90% of the ships HP in 60 seconds... brutal. Thank goodness not many understand how HE spam works, it's like the turret destruction mechanic before WG eventually fixed it (DD gunboat master race complaining bla bla bla.) Personally I'd reduce fire DOT to these percentages. 1 fire = 0.3% 2 fires = 0.5% 3 fires = 0.65% 4 fires = 0.7%

Using Warspite mount stats Black Swan has the 3rd highest destroyer HE DPM in the game (only Gearing and Khab have more) and the 4th highest fire chance (tied with Izy)

Black swan looks like she's firing 18" Yamato shells! -
Belfast hype! A light cruiser line is awesome, Cleveland at tier 6 is silly. It's a shame we don't get my fav RN CL class in the tree though...
-
Black Swan hype! Tier 2 will become unplayable with all the 4" HE spam.

Warspite 0.5.7(?) Warspite 0.5.9

HE doesn't need to do penetrate to cause fires, it's the same probability. Spamming HE at battleships is all about overwhelming damage control with DOT. A fully upgraded Izyaslav will average 2200 HE penetration damage to a Nikolai in 1 minute, that's absolutely pathetic but 3.4 fires is worth 27,660 in that time period...

Everyone loves a good top 10. Here's mine for gunboats (AP not included) Number 10 Number 9 Number 8 Number 7 Number 6 Number 5 Number 4. Number 3 Number 2 Number 1 DPM = Average HE damage per minute (Brawling potential vs similar tier destroyers) Broadside = Average HE salvo agasint unsuspecting ships (chip damage against similar tier destroyers and cruisers) FPM = Average fires per minute (with Demo expert) (A powerful weapon against similar tier Battleships) Last place goes to...
