Fubuki at tier 6? Awesome!
-
The 12 x 105mm guns. Set ships on fire and break modules at 10km, much more fun than shooting 4 pathetic HE rounds at angled BBs every 13 seconds.
-
So, a Battleship with the best cruiser anti DD consumable is better than a cruiser? Nooooooooooooooooo. Edit: How about buff Hipper and Eugens secondaries to 7km like Bismarck?
-
^ Shchors has better matchmaking. Russian 12 x 152mm gun cruisers start the most fires but don't do 10,000 damage each salvo like the Zao. Neptune and Minotaur should come close to the Russians if they can get away without being one shot.

Campbeltown - Premium Tier 3 UK - Captain Percks and Modules
creamgravy replied to Varatesh's topic in Destroyers
Advanced Firing Training is the 2nd worst choice for RN CLs and DDs. CL = Demolition Expert. Fires are the main source of damage for rapid firing 6" guns. RN CL fire % is low and DE is needed to normalise probability. DD = Survivability Expert or Demolition Expert. RN destroyer guns are like the US 5"/38, useless past 10km. AFT is a waste. If you want to build a RN AA cruiser then take manual AA first as most of your AA power is located in the DP mounts, you don't have the AA consumable to buff close/mid range AA to eat planes before they drop. -
Captain skills? Random battles: Sims is the best US captain trainer in the game. You don't need anything to make it work and no skills break it! Torpedo Acceleration, Aircraft Servicing Expert, whatever. Nothing stops you getting that sweet tier 10 base XP I'd go with DE if you want something specific. (pew pew + fire = even more XP!) Ranked/Team: Generic US cap brawler with SE.

Campbeltown - Premium Tier 3 UK - Captain Percks and Modules
creamgravy replied to Varatesh's topic in Destroyers
Modules: Main Armaments Modification 1 Propulsion Modification 1 Captain skills: Campbeltown doesn't need any specific captain skills to perform but Last stand and Concealment Expert are desirable. Here's a guide for any potential lines with a similar play style. Hipper and Eugen should get separate Hydro and AA consumables. The others getting radar, smoke or healing isn't fair.

New "Ranked" season announced on Asian server...
creamgravy replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Edinburgh with concealment expert, hyrdo and smoke (or radar if it's world of Bensons and stealth BBQ those Bismarcks) -
Here's Belfast's deck plan, the critical machines are under the stiffeners (dashed line?)
-
It shows they use the same boiler/engine layout as Fiji or Edinburgh. I guess they've been buffed?

Forget the 100mm belt most of the AP shells will be going through the 16mm + 38mm section, the citadel is so stupidly high and wide any random shell will hit it. You don't even get superstructure or modules blocking the way, just a lovely flat, empty deck with unprotected citadel directly underneath. From my experiences with stalimium I estimate at least 25-33% of Khab AP shells will be citadels at 14km. The Minotaur player has 17 seconds to vanish before getting sunk vs a good Khab player.
-
(AFT doesn't increase main gun range, get demo expert for these HE spammers)
-
Don't forget to max out commander reserve before completing the mission. You should get a free reserve slot if it's like the ARP missions.
-
Oh dear, all those overpens are now citadels. Spotted = dead. Khabarovsk should be able to delete one in 20 seconds using AP at any range.
-
Campbeltown and a 12 point commander? I'll put the kettle on.
-
Here's a US BB showing the difference between the upper belt and citadel belt (much clearer when it's part of the casemate) I'm 99.9% certain it's just a labelling mistake and they've been merged into one section for the armour viewer. Someone with a GM3D account could probably check if the Modules scheme has been added. .

This is just a quick thank you to HMS_Worcester for the recent Mikasa contest. It was well organised and several new Mikasas have now been commissioned Don't forget to check in the Community Area for up coming contests, this forum area doesn't get nearly enough coverage > http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/forum/489-community-area/ Happy sailing. Compare the side armour for Fiji and Neptune, the armour plate sticks out like a sore thumb. (Fiji sits lower in the water) Here's what it looks like with the armour viewer (yellow sections) Seems fine so far, the engines get extra belt above them like on most ships. ...and looking at the 'ships vital parts' (i.e. the rough citadel hitbox location)
-
Tier 9 and 10 have display errors in the armour viewer. They have the same layout/armour scheme to Fiji and Edinburgh, the large belt section above the engine isn't part of the citadel hit box as displayed. They still have large citadels though...
-
Neptune looks like a destroyer from the 1970s (or is that just me )

Good work. Here's my stats.
