The New Orleans sucks balls for AA support and DD hunting, your not a Cleveland. Get concealment expert, load AP and hunt Atagos, Eugens and Kutuzovs like a sir.

Will the RN cruiser make high tier battles worse?

Warspite in need of boosted range with matchmaker mod
creamgravy replied to AB_Cunningham's topic in Battleships
All battleships of that era had submerged torpedoes in those locations, there's zero reason for the extended citadel in game. -
Total DPS is the ability to defend yourself from attack. Long range DPS is the ability to protect others from attack. Montana is great at defending herself but is less useful at protecting others, Großer Kurfürst can do a better job in this regard. Neptune and Minotaur have top tier AA, both can be turned into no fly zones that protect themselves and others. A fully upgraded Neptune has more AA DPS than a standard Hindenburg using the defensive fire consumable. Cheers! Yeah, that's typical CL gameplay. Hug that wafu and hide from BBs/heavy cruisers at all costs. They just need to to be a bit less punishing to play, I've seen a Tirpitz derp a salvo into smoke and wipe out a near full HP Neptune

Citadels: Both Neptune and Minotaur look unplayable in the games I've seen them, all those RNG overpens that make cruisers playable turn into citadels. Both get instantly deleted when spotted, BBs don't need to aim. They need the same draught and reduced engine room hitbox as Fiji/Edinburgh asap (same design) Gun arcs: They all look great to me. AA: Neptune can join Montana in the 1k club and Minotaur has nuts 8.6km long range AA. Giving them defensive fire would be utterly OP agasint carriers and smoke is far more useful. Total AA (max) DPS Montana 1246 Neptune 1097 Minotaur 926 Des Moines 914 Hindenburg 814 Großer Kurfürst 764 Cleveland 359 Long range AA (max) DPS Range (km) Minotaur 833 7.2 - 8.6 Des Moines 777 7.2 Hindenburg 708 6.5 - 7.2 Großer Kurfürst 670 7.2 - 7.5 Neptune 584 7.2 - 8.6 Montana 475 7.2 Cleveland 220 7.2

Prince Eugen Available to purchase now !

Hipper premium camo doesn't have the 50% commander bonus, just 50% extra XP and 5% to post battle repair costs. Selling famous tech tree clones for collectors or ship class fans is fine. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

I had the pleasure of seeing mtm78 and Arctic___ test the citadels of Minotaur and Neptune. Beautiful ships -
Dido = Sims of RN CL line. Less damage output than high tier tech tree CLs but a fantastic boat with great manoeuvrability and concealment. She's a better Leander successor than Fiji.

Here's my old list for corrections to Warspite (corresponds the tech drawing above) Quick fix: 1. Buff 6mm deck armour to 4e (25mm) DONE! 2. Remove dodgy looking 1mm armour sections (no idea what they are?) Looks done(?) 3. Set draught to reasonable level DONE! Can be done with the QE in tech tree. 4. Create new 4x (51mm) wall armour sections and set citadel hit box at stern and bow to those new boundaries (4x) 5. Reduce stern and bow armour sections back to 9e (64mm) and 4e (25mm) 6. Remove 102mm 'citadel' wall and replace with 51mm (4e on both sides)

Only the tier 9 and 10 and they don't have defensive fire. Maybe only US ships get defensive fire?
-
KM Battleships have KM cruisers for sonar and US cruisers for AA support built in. They just need Stalinium shell and smoke consumables to make every other ship redundant. The 2 new lines can have fearsome long range AA at that tier. Total AA (max) DPS Montana 1246 Neptune 1097 Minotaur 926 Des Moines 914 Hindenburg 814 Großer Kurfürst 764 Cleveland 359 Long range AA (max) DPS Range (km) Minotaur 833 7.2 - 8.6 Des Moines 777 7.2 Hindenburg 708 6.5 - 7.2 Großer Kurfürst 670 7.2 - 7.5 Neptune 584 7.2 - 8.6 Montana 475 7.2 Cleveland 220 7.2

The most critical component for a group of BBs and support cruisers is a scout (DD, stealth CL or CV) Don't blame BBs or cruisers for not wanting to sail into hail of fire from hidden ships. -
Why does the Warspite's Citadel include it's cold storage area ?
creamgravy replied to Liare's topic in General Discussion
Those were just a selection of pictures to illustrate the issue, both bow and stern share the same problem (your a heavy cruiser in those areas) Just go to the main Warspite armour thread, everything is explained there with detailed schematics. -

It has been discussed several times this year in the Battleship section. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/48276-warspites-armour/#topmost http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/60306-warspite-in-need-of-boosted-range-with-matchmaker-mod/page__st__80 -
Warspite in need of boosted range with matchmaker mod

Look at the main armour belts. New York/Texas citadel ends with the 280mm belt, your well protected. Now look at Warspite... -

Aim here to delete a Warspite. Edited with reason (posted in the main Warspite armour thread a long long time ago ) -
Emerald uses the same 6" guns found on Warspite, they're very good

Apart from Belfast, there seems to be another upcoming RN Premium: HMAS Perth

Ah OK, so my Commonwealth captain can sail the B hull but not the A hull and my British captain can only sail in the A hull. -

So, can I use a British captain in the Commonwealth tech tree ship HMNZS Leander? -
Our very own fnord_disc has you covered. (v.slightly worse drag compared to Cleveland AP) http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/59528-armor-penetration-curves/page__st__180

Warspite in need of boosted range with matchmaker mod
creamgravy replied to AB_Cunningham's topic in Battleships
You can delete Warspite like a heavy cruiser due to the broken citadel hit box (armour is fine) Beginners won't understand how to play around this weakness, once they fix that area Warspite should be much more forgiving to play. -
Your not looking to brawl with a 3x4 build but turret rotation is more than fast enough. 19s is just fast enough turret tracking on the Kiev/Tashkent. Khab has fully powered turrets.
