Here's what I use the planes for. Fighter plane: Primarily role. A high HP, fast, close range spotter (3.2km) with a long duration. It'll pick up torpedoes and ships 6-10km away. Similar to sonar. Secondary role: Occasionally break up air strikes agasint you. (The CV usually just takes it out with fighters first) Spotter plane: Primarily role. A fragile, slow, long range (4.2km), short duration spotter. The 180s Walrus gives you 2 wide sweeps that go deep into enemy controlled areas and highlights every ship coming your way. Similar to a radar ping or your CV sending a group to spot. Secondary role. Increases the range for harassing battleships when your smoke is on cool down. I love using the Walrus at the start to see where everyone is, especially DDs and radar cruisers (assuming your charging into a cap)

HEAT does virtually nothing. Maybe it's WG way of reducing HE spam for those that don't understand how simplistic the HE pen/damage mechanic is? -

25% of my games now have no DDs. The rest have a 2 vs 1 spilt and the team with the typical IJN DD player looses. (Time for a US DD teammate for credits merc system?) -

Look at your Fiji stats, it's out performing the Takao, Scharnhorst, Nagato etc. Getting deleted occasionally is fine. Embrace it.

sAP is a million times better than feckless HE. All cruisers get critadlled from a good RNG BB roll at any angle. All cruisers get critadlled showing broadside to any ship. RN CLs are just much closer and are more greedy for damage.

The T8-10 repair party does. Leander and Fiji would be utterly broken with that heal pack. Honestly, the repair party should be removed until you get to T9. Leander has effectively over 40k HP with a citadel hit box and armour that's better than most of her competitors. (Theoretically Leander has 52,000 HP will all the buffs)

I've had a few 3" guns knocked out in Minotaur and your AA capability depletes quickly. You could add unlimited DEFAA like Atlanta. Total AA (with BFT, no manual AA) Fiji = 209 (balanced) Atlanta = 192 (450+ with DEFAA) Blake = 182 (long range) Leander = 123 (balanced) I still don't think Blake is tier 7 material, try using Minotaur in the training room with 1-2 turrets. Don't forget your angled a lot of the time to avoid getting deleted. Dido is tiny, looking forward to see what they do with her. I'd love to see a Arethusa at tier 5 too.

No arguments from me, ships like Nürnberg and Hipper have needed a buff for a while. Although Königsberg is still the greatest T5. No idea why they haven't done a premium Köln, that would sell like hot cakes. sAP is very powerful agasint most tier 6+ ships, you just need to adjust. Don't be afraid to disengage back to the shadows if a ship has your number

RN CLs having sAP only is the best thing that's happened to this game, the HE mechanic is stupid and feckless. It's just a shame they couldn't get to to work for lower tiers. Perth is great for the flexibility, Leander is more powerful.

Shooting a Fuso with sAP = Shooting a Bismarck with sAP = (Leander will get nerfed sooner or later, she has over 40,000 HP with the heal, that's ott with smoke and a small citadel)

Perth is a gem. 10/10 from me. Fun, powerful, different and balanced (well maybe a bit OP for experienced DD/CL captains) Can't wait for Ajax and Achilles! Oh, does anyone else think the smoke stack camo occasionally works? First salvos agasint you can be way off.

Dido and Leander are more powerful agasint ships, more armour and post war mods are bad in this game.

Here's a rough calculation for damage based off my experiences with Minotaur. AP DPM (Shells per minute) Fiji: 34,000 (48) Blake 20rpm: 26,000 (36) Leander: 23,000 (32) Blake 15rpm: 20,000 (27) Blake won't have secondaries or torpedoes to supplement the damage and the AA will get overwhelmed by multiple squads like Minotaur. I think she'd be well balanced for tier 6.

They were named after the RN wiped out 10 modern KM destroyers during the battle of Narvik in 1940. 1936A/mob essentially replaced the ones lost. Maybe Warspite-class would've been better?

Happens all the time in my Minotaur. A Tirpitz can only be taken down to ~4000 HP if your the only one shooting it. (should really check in Training room but need the BB to heal) -
...and last name. It only took a few clicks to get them to match. Leander has much better torpedo arcs btw.

She's a cracker. I can confirm Spotter Aircraft II is indeed bugged and only lasts 1 min 40 seconds.

Spotting aircraft II should be active for 180 seconds, it's either a typo or carry over from Warspite (100s Walrus spotter)

All the German destroyers have better sonar. I wouldn't use consumables are a unique feature. So, what other Commonwealth ships could we get? HMAS Sydney (Weymouth - sank SMS Emden) HMCS Ontario (Modern Fiji with 3 turrets) HMCS Haida (Tribal class DD with less weapons) HMAS Vampire (Admiralty V-class DD) HMNZS Gambia (Fiji) HMNZS Achilles (Leander) HMAS Australia (County or Indefatigable) HMAS Melbourne (Majestic class fleet carrier) I'd want a few of those. Any more?

4 (inaccurate) 6" guns and no torpedoes isn't enough for tier 7. Tier 6 is fine. Give it the same load out as Belfast. HE, smoke, radar and sonar.
