I played over 50 games in Z-23 without Last Stand (too tight to respec a CA captain before 0.6 ) Man that was hard, I'd say LS is worth an extra 10-15% WR and 10,000-20,000 average damage.

Captain Skills Distribution Guide for 0.6.0

Bump with a few fun builds. Secondary Fiji (Belfast) > http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1000000000000010000001001010100019 Wreck ships rushing your smoke. Support Neptune (Belfast) > http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1100000000000010000010000000110119 How many T10 planes can you shoot down in a 6 minute game? Note: Belfast makes any build fun and grotesquely OP.- 90 replies

Hmm, which overpowered pay to win ship should I choose... Who's got the best looking camouflage? Blyskawica: 40 = 40 (P0rn)Belfast: 30 +1 = 31 (Edges out Blys due to C35 markings and Union Jack on the turret)Scharnhorst: 39 - 3 = 36 (Worse German camo in game)- 452 replies

Never repair rudder/engine breaks on a ship with LS in brawls, only fires. That's one of the key strengths of the skill, getting stung with 2 fires after you've just repaired is painful for any ship. Here's my thoughts after testing. Priority Target is excellent for gunboat builds, probably better than Preventive Maintenance. Last stand isn't required for long range gunboat builds. Last stand is 100% essential for those looking to cap and use torpedoes. Adrenaline Rush is excellent for any destroyer.

I never had CE on my Gearing or Fletcher, get spotted and everyone runs to the other side of the map. The old 20km torpedoes are fairly bad. Back then everyone stayed at spawn, didn't know how to use WASD or play the objective. The wall of skill looked scary but will be even less effective now. Ship Torpedo type Lowest torpedo time to target from stealth (s) Torpedo time to 12km (s) Reaction time (s) Shimakaze Type F3 32 - 9.6 Shimakaze Type 93 mod.3 - 12km 36 69 10.9 Shimakaze (Beta) Type 93 mod.3 - 20km 36 69 12 Gearing Mk17 37 70 8.1 Shimakaze Type 93 39 77 15.4 Fletcher and Gearing torpedoes need a slight detection nerf, the rest is fine. Shima is a small CL, many struggle with her size when playing the objective, nothing more.

A premium Yarrow S-Class that does over 40 knots might be OP at tier 2

Number of Paper Ships by Nation in proportion to total number of ships
creamgravy replied to Torpedobeatz's topic in General Discussion
The small 9000 ton Swiftsure is tier 6 or 7, essentially a Fiji with only three turrets and better AA, but HMS Hawke could be tier 8 with three mk 24 turrets (think a mini Neptune)The large 15,000 ton Neptune and Minotaur were completely unaffordable after the war but parts were build for them. -
It's part of the general smoke mechanic. You can force only one puff, with clever throttling, in all other ships.

The mid tiers are doing fine Tier 6. Shinonome is one of the highest performing ships at this tier. Fubuki is technically the same/better but doesn't have good players with high level captains. Hatsuharu is doing great. Tier 7. Shiratsuyu is one of the highest performing ships at this tier. The 5 second reload booster and needs a nerf. Akatsuki is out performing Mahan. This is a Shinonome on steroids, maybe we'll see its true potential with a premium version one day? Would be very comfortable at tier 9. Tier 8. Akizuki is one of the highest performing ships at this tier. 100mm gun bloom and ability to set fires makes this ship OP. (Nerf the stealth fire mechanic, not the ship) Kagero is doing fine. Actually this is my pick for the best tier 8 destroyer. Trying to stop a one from scouting/capping/doing huge torpedo damage with a bunch of half decent BBs behind them is hard. I don't really play at tier 9-10 but Shimakaze isn't far off Gearing in 2 week stats. Not bad considering the much higher number of games. Why does it need a buff again?

Well, WG fixed the bug and gave us a new captain perk. I'm not allowed to say how many planes joined the raid but I counted them all out, and I counted them all back.

The guns slightly better but I'd take 10km/16k damage torpedoes all day long Ultimately, they're almost identical. Fubuki is very powerful for tier 6, poor stats is just new players learning how to play the line.

Unpopular opinion: Radio Location is not game breaking, its not even a strong skill
creamgravy replied to kfa's topic in General Discussion
It often feels like a free win when the enemy doesn't have RL, you can do anything you want. I think you've misunderstood the skill. It doesn't increase the damage, it increases the surface area you can damage on a ship. 80% or more on a NM... US 127mm HE with no IFHE = damage the superstructure only. US 127mm HE with IFHE = damage the deck, upper belt, bow, stern and superstructure. Hits to the superstructure will give you identical damage figures with or without the skill.- 66 replies

This has sunk me many, many times. Even Perth has smoke on the 'U' key.

Check out Shinonome stats, it's a slightly worse Fubuki. > https://eu.warships.today/vehicle/3554555600/Shinonome

Tech tree Leander = 1943 Ajax right after she left the US, including the camo. A premium Ajax will have to be either 1939 River Plate spec (stock) or 1940 Med spec (Radar)

Yeah, Myoko and most tier 8+ cruisers can now be HE spammed to death with IFHE. They've always been a thorn in my side. The main problem is Shinny Horse, Belfast and DDs. IFHE does little agasint these T7 monsters. Maybe I'll try this build before the end of the cheap respec. http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/11000000001000110100000000100001

Fiji doesn't come close to Belfast after 0.6.0 Gimme Jamaica though...

I'd call it a competitive ranked build over DD hunter (use RL to play the objective and stay alive) I'm testing these slight variations. 1. http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/11000000001000110100000000000011 Priority Target + Adrenaline Rush over Basic Firing Training. Your AA is very weak and Adrenaline Rush buffs torpedo reload too. Priority Target is great when brawling, you can instantly disengage when 3+ enemies start targeting you. 2. http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/01000000000000110100000100000011 Vigilance over Expert Marksman + Priority Target. Tier 7 is home to very powerful torpedo boats such as Shiratsuyu and ...well, all the tier 7 destroyers. Expert marksman is a luxury you can get away with dropping (18 seconds turret traverse is fine) Priority Target is best in a cruiser/BB heavy meta and Vigilance is best in a DD heavy meta (RL is enough when there's 1 or 2 DDs) I think No.1 is my current pick but that could change. More testing is needed. This is slightly better for seal clubbing in random battles. Adrenaline Rush is much better than Expert Marksman. Maybe even get HEAP over CE for all those Myokos? http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/01000000000000110000101000001001

"Proof" Bot DD's in Co-Op can "see" and follow you even when you are undetected.
creamgravy replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
Yes. I accidentally play Co-Op yesterday in a DD and you just kite them into a corner. They have no concept of caps/points etc and everyone still plays Shinny horse, Tirpitz and Bismarck on Co-Op. OK maybe it's like just Random battles then. -

creamgravy replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
They just lemming train onto the nearest ship, Co-Op is terrible. -
Your just telling them there's no hidden ships close by, critical information for any stealthy ship. I feel a bit naked when sailing a ship without this new wall hack now. Just use it for information and don't try and force the whole 'it's good for DD hunting' aspect, it'll save you a ton of HP. Still practising the art of the blind torp, most sets are massively underestimated. Although I completely wrecked a DD Spee sneaking into a cap and a DD shinny horse trying to flank around some islands.
