    French Cruisers-Looking Good!

Nosters stream was just as funny, he got bombed out the game a few times. I still think the 57mm bofor mount data is just a error.

    1940 Hood is T6 material

As a destroyer player I'd like to point out Gneisenau is the hardest BB to to hit with torpedoes. Raw speed and acceleration is the best counter to ship launched torpedoes. Hood has that in spades, you can sail onto another map before 55-60 knot torpedoes eventually catch up. We just need fairly accurate guns on Hood, that's the only thing she needs for tier 7 to fun and competitive without being OP.

the hood looking like a bad ship to buy

They're all pointed at the rear, so you have to get really close and turn around to kite. Super risky. 4" HE doesn't damage anything from T8, even DDs. Your relying on fires only. Maybe a DE troll ship? Like Ish.

    Akizuki: the verdict

Akizuki has 3 main play styles. (example builds might not be optimal) Support: http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1100000000000001000010000000110119 Spot, smoke teammates, melt planes, chase off other destroyers, tank, shoot ships from range. 0.6.3 has actually buffed this play style, best for team/ranked. Fire starter: http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1000000000000011000010100000100119 or http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1100000000000011000011100000000119 Concentrate on setting multiple fires across the ship and forget actual HE damage, then pelt with AP. This used to be utterly broken agasint BBs in randoms who didn't have anyone to spot but the buffed range should make this play style viable. Use smokes and range more effectively. Destroyer hunter: http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1100000000000001010000000010001119 IFHE makes you deadly agasint other destroyers, only a Khab gets close to your DPM output agasint lightly armoured ships. US DD vets should be used to ambushing faster, stealthier IJN destroyers. Here's the fire probabilities for each commander skill.

Gearing...what a joke now 0.6.3 (stealth fire topic)

That makes no sense. How are you spotting destroyers and cruisers by stealth firing a BB that everyone could spot anyway?

HMS Hood (1940 version) inbound as T7 Premium BB

That's cosmetic, all the AA calcs can be found here. > http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Aerial_Combat Neptune definitely shoots down 2 low planes every second with long range AA (I've spent far too long messing around in the training room. ) Gneisenau has mind blowing God tier AA. I only stuck that in for 'OMG Hood has better AA than a full AA spec Gneisenau when you press the button' value Never tried one myself. Also Hood has 4 auras for more dice rolls agasint dive bombers (although those huge Pom-poms always get blow up at the start ) Here's a few other T7 AA builds. 100% agree.

Hoods citadel will be well below the deck, no HE shell will ever penetrate it.

    HMS Hood Teaser

Gunnery was updated with Type 284 Radar during the 5th and final refit between January and March 1941. (See discussion over the new gantry section on the rangefinder) It's the secondary 4" battery that never received Type 285 for the HACS directors. If anything AA should be even less! WG logic? Make her one of the best AA ships at tier 7.

Why was Hoods gunnery control out of date?

    British Battleship Line 2017 Predicitions

About the same as Bayern then. Bayern = 223m at 17.7km, 1.8 Sigma. Hood = 232m at 17.7km, 1.8 Sigma.

HMS Hood (1940 version) inbound as T7 Premium BB

Here's some probabilities for popular T7 ships agasint a Hiryu A6M5c. Don't confuse hard to play with frustrating RNG. No one plays Tirpitz or Bismarck in team battles because of those terrible guns. Great armour and secondaries/torpedoes make up for it in random battles. Easy to play = Impregnator/Arizona (lot's of accurate guns) Hard to play = Warspite(a few, slow turning but accurate guns) Frustrating to play = Tirpitz (a few, fast turning but inaccurate guns) What does Hood get to ease the frustration? Good pen angles and dAA. Is it worth it? Questionable.

HMS Hood (1940 version) inbound as T7 Premium BB

Press the RNG button every 30 seconds and watch 4 shells splash around a broadside cruiser noob 8km away, then swing the rear guns around in frustration only to get punished by torpedoes and AP? Nein! I already have a Tirpitz and Kongo for that. You know they'll buff it to 2.0 eventually, the sooner we kick up a fuss the sooner it happens.

HMS Hood (1940 version) inbound as T7 Premium BB

I wouldn't expect any bombers to stay alive long enough to drop on a Hood with AFT and mAA. Maybe 1 or 2 Siapan Douglas AD1s? We're talking Flint/Atlanta levels of long range AA here.

HMS Hood (1940 version) inbound as T7 Premium BB

It'll be fun to yolo Hood in a tier 8 DD or cruiser. 8 slow guns, 1.8 sigma, useless secondaries and no torpedoes. Na, you'll melt T7 squads at range with most AA builds and defensive fire. Fun and engaging for the CV player and totally historic too.

    British Battleship Line 2017 Predicitions

I'd be very disappointed if Indefatigable, Indomitable or Inflexible aren't used. ...and the tier 10 BC MUST be called Incomparable.

    I think it'll be a BC line this year too T3. Invincible-class T4. Lion-class T5. Tiger-class T6. Renown-class T7. Admiral-class (Hood premium) T8. J3 T9. G3-class T10. One of the 1920s 18" monster designs, take your pick. (K2 for me)

Neptune the worse tier Ix ship in game do you agree?

This is a very fun build for Neptune if you have a spare 17-19 point captain > http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1000000000010010000001101000100019 (I miss the cheap respec costs )

    Worchester and Burlington...

    A poor mans Minotaur? I'm guessing... Worcester = Tier 9. 6 x 6" dual mount (12 RPM) Burlington = Tier 10. 4 x 6" triple mount (20 RPM) if not Buffalo.

    HMS Hood Teaser

OK chaps, who'd win a standing start race over 6km? Iowa is the fastest but Gneisenau seems to have incredible acceleration. Maybe Hood with that RN CL special source? Missouri/Iowa (33) Gneisenau (32) Hood (31) Bismarck (31) Scharnhorst (30) Kongo (30) Amagi (30) Dunkerque (29.5)
