I've been trying to grind Z-46 but it's a huge struggle pushing the battle button. T8-10 is dead to me, there's no fun to be had. Just play tiers that can't get T9+ maps or have stupid game mechanics like radar.
-
HMS Broke at tier 2? My poor Tachibana just had a heart attack! The Faulknor class seems a bit more usable than ships like Campbeltown. Either way, another ship for my J.S.White collection V-Leader has more DPM than Gearing, that monster needs T9+ opposition.

HMS Hood (1940 version) inbound as T7 Premium BB

Tier 6 is a good bet, although if the guns are very comfortable then I think we've got a nice Leander upgrade for tier 7. Fiji is a too tall, fat and has a full citadel to offer the same sneaky scout role. Good spot Do you think 10 DPS for the turrets is a bit too high? The French 130 mm/45 twin turret has 8.5 DPS with a 5.2km range. Maybe WG can give them a 5.5km range but only 6-7 DPS for flavour? That would tie in with the high tier cruisers a bit better. -
Plea to Wargaming; high tier camping must go.

It's always going to be a camp fest with capture the base PvP and clunky ship movement. Small maps make it palatable. Fingers crossed for a great convoy mode -

This should really go in a RN CL thread but here's my guess for Dido gun performance. Stats. HE DPM agasint light armour. AA vs T7 Hiryu A6M5c. -
Thanks WG for redesigned CV at TIER IV and V

Strafing is a nightmare for noobs like me. CV team mates often wipe out your squads accidentally, a few clicks from a good player and your literally out of the game with the low hanger sizes. Now? It's fun! Strike Bogue still utterly wrecks battleships, they just don't have the speed or turning ability and there's no instant delete button agasint your bombers. You get decent XP and credits too Spoiler -
HE and SAP? You can't have the best of both worlds! One RN destroyer line should defiantly get SAP only though, it's good for varied game play. Take down a Bismarck bot with Black Swan? Yes sir

Premiums: First OP Belfast and now OP Duca?
creamgravy replied to RenamedUser_92906789's topic in General Discussion
Aoba has much better 10km type 8 torpedoes with the same 12.06 km (10.3) surface detection. -
AFT? 8km is now the perfect gun range for DDs looking to cap, brawl or torpedo.
-
So , they are buffing IJN DD's turrent rotation speed ...
creamgravy replied to MurderousKitten's topic in Destroyers
The old type 93 torpedoes had a 2.1km surface detection, these new ones are better. Players just sucked and had no idea what to do in the old days. Plus sonar and spotter planes are everywhere, it makes base torpedo detection irrelevant. -
Use Black Swan for 4" XIX SAP. (4mm fuse, 8mm threshold)
-
I hope they give us the option of changing torpedoes like Sims. Long range mines or close range missiles.

HMS Hood (1940 version) inbound as T7 Premium BB
creamgravy replied to ShortySunderland's topic in Battleships
Yep, a Southampton class will be a bit easier to play than Edinburgh/Belfast. They should have a Leander style citadel hitbox for a few troll overpens too Cleveland has warped expectations at tier 6, the sooner they move it to tier 8 the better. -
After Missouri, what will be the next FreeExp ship ?
creamgravy replied to PseudoMi's topic in General Discussion
There was a rumour it will be Duca d'Aosta. -
AFT always gets you more dice rolls. Here's a good example. Belfast, with AFT, has a 7% chance of shooting down a Hiryu A6M5c every second between 5 - 7.2km. Belfast, with mAA, has a 11% chance of shooting down a Hiryu A6M5c every second between 5 - 6km. The rough probability of shooting down a Hiryu A6M5c before 5km. Belfast AFT = 21% Belfast mAA = 22% Belfast AFT + mAA = 33% Does that make sense? It's usually best to get AFT first on most ships.

You guys underestimate 9 gun Fiji and 10 gun Dido variants, I think they're too good for tier 6. Hawke is a 'what if' ship balanced to be fun and awesome for tier 8. You could even give it full XXV turrets in some alternative time line, the hull should be wide enough. -
Please revert firing range & detectability of Ishizuchi back to 0.6.2 values.
creamgravy replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in General Discussion
I recently got deleted from full HP by a hidden New York at 16km, plunging BB AP will end you so watch out. The middle turret has great forward angles from 11km+(?) They can't depress at mid/close ranges because of the silly life boats, this buff has essentially 'unlocked' the middle gun as a bonus. -

Carlisle would be a beast at tier 4. dAAF would be overkill considering hanger sizes. -
Small cal guns are fine at high tier and with a full line to go down you wouldn't need to mess around with captains or get used to the change. There's also a SAP only option. Battle and Daring are odd ones out but they get 10 top spec Mk IXM, single launch torpedoes. No other RN DD would get that stopping power.

Oh no I'm spotted, better shoot my guns! New Ishizuchi is epic, I'd rage quit if they reduced it back to 12km. -
Here's my latest take for 3 lines.

Blind enemies with your chrome consumable? HMS Hawke would sell like hot cakes. (think Fiji with 3 Neptune turrets) -
Don't forget Ishizuchi! She's now the best thing since sliced bread. 2.0 sigma and a 15.3km range = fun times (OK the 25 second reload is a bit OP) I hope they do exactly the same with Hood. Low velocity but accurate BBs shells are so satisfying.

Funny because it's true.
