Don't spend ANY points in AA, it's a waste. Full AA spec (11 points + flag) Nelson vs upgraded tier 6 bombers. Full AA spec Nelson vs Saipan bombers.

0.015 fuses mean the AP shell explodes before reaching recessed citadels, like those on the NM. Aim for the middle and not the waterline, more shells will hit. 7920 is 2 penetrations on fresh compartment. (Missouri does 8910 for comparison)

Excellent, the AP is still fantastic Training room fun (can't wait for the new graphics)

Tier 10 on Hotspot and Two Brothers

Tier 8-10 PvP needs new games modes. Standard and 12v12 domination suck balls. -
Tier 10 on Hotspot and Two Brothers
creamgravy replied to VeteranGamer84's topic in General Discussion
Hotspot is the largest map size in the game. Two brothers is the same size as Okinawa. -
Those guns are epic. Does anyone know if they still have the Hood AP auto bounce rule in 0.6.9.1? I guess we're getting the new premium model + thumbnail in 0.6.10.

Nelson doesn't care about DOT, even flooding. The super heal will absorb most/all of it. Maximum you can heal with 4 charges and flag = 114,048. Maximum regular penetration damage you can heal back = 77,500. DOT/overpen damage surplus = 36,500 (4-5 fires you can let burn for free) If you just take torpedo damage then those 4 heals can only give you a theoretical ~6,600 HP back. That leaves 100k+ for flooding damage. (bad example but you get the idea)

Heal + smoke > Radar + smoke. ...but Belfast has the OP tier 8 concealment equipment. So GG.

Radar and all the 'I win' one button press consumables are retarded. Does anyone care about tier 7+ balance anymore? -
All tier 5 ships are disappointing agasint tier 9 bombers, tier 8 smoke/radar cruisers, etc.

British BB blueprints, Tea and Ships mission, question ..
creamgravy replied to Sharpasaspoon's topic in Battleships
Completing stage 3, for each week, rewards a blueprint flag. When 0.6.10 is released the blueprint flags are replaced with... 1 blueprint flag: Bellerophon + Port Slot 2 blueprint flags: Orion + Port Slot 3 blueprint flags: Iron Duke + Port Slot + Iron Duke Flag -
Crazy reliable DPM, fire is just a bonus. Belfast gets easy Witherer and Arsonist flags without IFHE, you sink ships too quickly with IFHE for fires to matter. 6" cruisers need IFHE for reliable damage agasint tier 8+ cruisers.

Yes, it does. You can see all the armour on https://gamemodels3d.com/games/worldofwarships/vehicles/battleship (tier 7 is free) Here's KGV deck layers. KGV top/weather deck should be 32mm over the engines like Nelson (and Monarch) Maybe they accidentally dropped it going to tier 7? (see Caledon and Danae deck error) -
Uh oh. I hope they're not just increasing the assured acquisition range so some random dude behind an island far away will proxy spot you. Please add LOS to the calculation.

The Krupp values have been lowered by 140 (~6%) for less penetration (not sure about tier 8+) -

Mid/low tier AP is weak in relation to other BB AP. It does make a difference when shooting heavy armour outside of 0-30 degrees. 5km 10km 15km Großer Kurfürst 722 624 539 Lion 419mm 695 609 535 Alabama 662 563 479 Nagato 703 568 460 Dunkerque 594 495 414 Arizona 575 467 381 Nelson 514 431 344 KGV 509 418 344 Hood 491 406 337 Scharnhorst 455 363 289 350mm armour angled at ~45 degrees = ~500mm. 152mm armour angled at ~30 degrees = ~300mm. For example. Hood AP will probably shatter on Scharnhorst main belt beyond 10km, even if it hits flat. Other BBs can citadel Nelson through the bow at 10km at 45 degrees. (~450mm effective armour to pen) -

Ish has... 10 gun broadside. 25 second reload. 12.7km concealment. 28 knots. Weak AP. OP HE. OP fire chance (Ish and KGV set identical number of fires to similar tier ships) Needs to angle correctly. They're almost identical. -

Ishizuchi is one of the best BBs in the game! Roast BBs with OP HE, devastate broadside cruisers with AP and wreck DDs with ..well, anything. Run away at 28 knots, laughing like a small girl, when it gets too hot. That's KGV too right? -

Early ships like Emerald have water line bow armour, it isn't the same as being able to auto bounce AP anywhere off your bow/stern with tier plating. -

creamgravy replied to anonym_u5USg8CcK96I's topic in General Discussion
There is no such thing as full bow armour, tier plating is made up for a sense of progression. At tier 3 Yamato would have 16mm everywhere, Tachibana could HE spam her to death in a few minutes. KGV (Monarch) has 32mm at tier 8, now your a bow tanker. WOWS is an arcade game with hit points, not a simulation. KGV is literally a tier 7 Ishizuchi. Some will love it, others will hate it. -
Edinburgh - decreased concealment?
creamgravy replied to RaptorWildfire's topic in General Discussion
It was always 9km, maybe your thinking of her 'balanced' sister ship? -
Old torpedo bulges on IJN ships are not part of any compartment and have no HP associated with them. They shouldn't interact with AP/HE shells but do seem to mess things up quite a bit. (Zao is the biggest offender)
