Is it time for DD to receive some love?

Average DD player experience. Tier 2, 3, 4. 'Yolo! This is fun' Tier 5. 'Here I come CV! Oh I'm detected, time to pop smoke. Who's firing 12 HE shells at me every 7 seconds? I'm dead? WTF? Hax' Tier 6-8. Nope. Tier 10. 'I spent $$$ to free XP the Shimakaze and I'm gonna damn well use it'

Argument to replace HMS Iron duke already

Maybe, but I'd still take virtually no superstructure over partial modernisation. Zero AA is fine if your taking reduced damage from surface ships. Orion? Nelson? KGV? Conqueror? Pretenders to Her Majesty's true HE derp cannon. ZAOincourt! I'm sure you'll have fun testing it regardless.
  3. Don't worry, Phil's just trollin. I wonder what the '100 detonation flags' supercontainer drop rate will be over the event? 80%?

Argument to replace HMS Iron duke already

Agincourt is Fuso/QE size, she's bigger than most other super dreadnoughts. Stock hull = tier 5 (or mega OP tier 4) Post WNT fantasy refit = tier 6 Agincourt HE spam compared to competitors. Agincourt had a 15"/45 cal gun similar to the Mk X. http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNBR_12-45_mk13.php St. Vincent, Neptune and Colossus Classes used the 50 cal.
  5. Tier 10? Meh, if Yamato had come out yesterday everyone would say it was broken.
  6. Bomber from the 2015 event on Neighbors main runway.
  7. Torpedo damage agasint a tier 10 destroyer is roughly. Middle section (fresh) = 90-95% Stern/bow (fresh) = 60-65% (~58% for a tier 6 destroyer) Stern/bow (fully blackened) = 30-35% (~20% for a tier 6 destroyer) Stern/bow (fully saturated) = 0% If your going to hit a torpedo try to use your stern. The new mechanics in 0.6.10 seem to make torpedoes pass under high destroyer sterns more often. You probably hit a partially blackened bow for ~50% damage.

    Verdict on Nelson?

Superintendent adds 17,472 HP. No, the super heal absorbs most fire damage. Adrenaline Rush is probably the most important 2 point skill.

What is wrong with Queen Elisabeth?

QE: Slightly better HE, significantly better AA, better firing angles. Warspite: Slightly better AP, better secondaries, closed beta turning circle, WD-40 turrets, slightly better heal.

    What is this thing?!

And bombers from the Phantom Fortress (2015 event)

    Verdict on Nelson?

We got a full premium model in 0.6.10 (Cleaner camo, detailed historic model with a crest, nameplate etc) 0.6.9 was a rushed out tech tree version for gamescon.

    The case for HMS Incomparable

    Dude that's HMS Agincourt.

Premium ships V's Silver ships, P2W?

Belfast is absolutely disgusting. WOWS has always been a p2w game, they're not balancing it for e-sports.

KGV captain skillset question, need help

Yep, KGV makes a good home for a Belfast captain. It's a unique BB on the RN line. Essential. Adrenaline Rush. Turn your BB into a CA (OP and needs nerfing imo) Concealment Expert. KGV is best at evasion tanking. Good. Priority Target. For evasion tanking. Preventive Maintenance. Fragile turrets. Expert Marksman. 45 seconds is fast for a BB but dropping it is always useful. Jack of All Trades. Cycle repairs and heals. Superintendent. Adds 10,164 HP. Basics of Survivabilty. Save 1,634 HP per fire. (Letting 6 fires burn out per game = SI) Decent filler. Expert Loader. Vigilance. KGV is fast and manoeuvrable. Inertia Fuse for HE Shells. Goes from 89mm to 115mm (pen/citadel popular cruisers and parts of KM BBs) and your secondary guns can rip up cruisers. Not impressed. Fire Prevention. Not a huge fan of this on KGV, it's not a BB to try and tank damage in. Radio Location. 12km concealment isn't enough to push you into full ambush mode. Survivability Expert. Adds 4,508 to your HP with 5 heals, not enough for 3 points. Any AA skill (or upgrade) KGV vs average tier 7 bombers. Stock. AFT, AA Guns Mod 2, flag. Full AA.

    Shinyhorse by miles.

    HMS King George V

So what BB could go at tier 7 if all the real ships are too $unique$ Time to dust off a Revenge BB? Obsolete and over tiered but needed. AA build - Meh Secondary build - Meh Tank build - Meh (evasion is much better than trying to tank damage) Cruiser DPM build - Well, your not loosing much. KGV is probably the best place for a Belfast captain at the moment and it's only* 125k elite XP to retrain. *Assuming you've been seal clubbing like a boss with Belfast and have a 19 point captain.

    HMS King George V

KGV would be too OP with a 32mm deck over the hull at tier 7. Nelson kinda* gets away with it for the raised citadel and slow speed (*kinda as in kinda OP) I've just got Monarch and want my 14" HE spam guns back :( It doesn't feel right having Russian rail guns either.
  18. creamgravy

    HMS King George V

They've said this about Mogami many times. No gun options that change playstyle until tier 10 and unique playstyle ships become premium. KGV/Monarch is like Mogami 155 at tier 7 and Mogami 203 at tier 8. Dumb but there's no Myoko option.

    Queen Elizabeth

AA spec QE vs bot Lexi, Shokaku and Hiryu Standard Warspite vs bot Lexi, Shokaku and Hiryu. I don't like getting deleted by CVs so QE is my fav out the two. Although I really miss my old full secondary build Warspite, maybe I'll make a new captain for Iron Duke/Warspite.

    HMS King George V

You can delete a Chappy with one HE salvo (see my previous post) IJN, RN and most VFM/US cruisers will be citadelled with IFHE. I'd still use HE for French and German cruisers in most situations unless fairly broadside at 10-15km. It's just so reliable.
  21. creamgravy

    HMS King George V

30k+ salvos isn't enough, you need to break all their AA and torpedoes too.
  22. creamgravy

    HMS King George V

    This isn't a happy Chappy.

    HMS King George V

Forget 25mm, can this angled tier 9 Neptune with its 16mm bow and 100mm belt bounce KGV 14" AP?
