  3. Reducing reload and turret traverse for range is a bad idea on a scout destroyer. How about a torpedo option WG? 8km at 71 knots, 12km at 63 knots, DW etc.

    I'm just looking at your Gadjah Mada/Gallant stats. Very interesting... Cossack only had eight 4.7" guns for 4 months before they swapped "X" turret in December 1939, even before the Altmark incident. Philip Vian would make an awesome captain.

  7. Whooo finally! Gadja Marah beats the absolute crap out of Cossack. Hell, it beat's the crap out of most tier 8 DDs too ...without having access to tier 8 equipment. Hopefully it'll be swapped with the weaker Gleeves or massively nerfed in the future. Overall Cossack's a touch weaker than Blys, it look's good but balanced. 5.95km surface detection isn't that special with slow reloading 1x4 torpedoes and crap gun/shell firing arcs. All the other tier 7 DDs, like Lennin, Mahan etc can torp spam the crap out of BB/CAs if guns aren't appropriate. Personally I would've turned her into a tier 7 Kidd with a heal + ~6.3km surface detect. The camo is from HMS Matabele/Ashanti, Cossack was like Gallant and never had anything other than plain 507c. AA is a bit rubbish. Maybe you can have a funny secondary build to beat up tier 5 DDs like OG Kiev?

    HMS Renown

    Repulse should be very tanky with a 152mm upper belt and 38mm+ everywhere else, great agasint HE spam and can autobounce all AP off the hull like a tier 6 Hood. Renown will be more fragile with the same 152mm upper belt but 25mm everywhere else, just like QE. 229mm + torpedo bulge main belt is more than enough.

    Z-23 is a terrible DD hunter though, pushing into a sub 6km ships like Kagero or Benson is often suicide. But those 150mm cannons are amazing agasint tier 8+ CA/BBs with IFHE, it's a mini MK. You just can't shoot ships at 9-10km without getting deleted due to your size. Those rail guns need 12km+ to be really good.

    Z-23 150 has a nasty broadside with 'rail gun' accuracy. The down side is very slow turrets, medium DPM and ******ing annoying range. (I'd give anything to buff the range from that pathetic 10.8km) On average Z-23 can pump out 12,500 to 15,000 damage in 60 seconds. Kidd will do 16,000 to 20,000 in 60 seconds. Z-23 HP with SE = 22,300, Kidd HP without SE = 16,700. So, a good Z-23 player can easily sink a new Kidd player without outside interference. Although that never happens, one BB savlo will wipe out 50% Z-23 HP before they can even spot the Kidd. Yep, Akatsuki is terrible at chasing down other destroyers.

    A destroyers main job is to survive, even when sniping at 14km. SE is a universal destroyer skill along with PM and LS. Use the rest to tailor your build around playstyle.

    It's low tier, the game moves too quickly for smoke. 2 is enough. Survivability Expert is always the first pick, even for a future tier 6-8 Commonwealth premium destroyer. Although a ship like Heida might want SI if she gets fancy consumables.

    Smokeless Trashcan/Khaba and go nowhere near objectives. It's hilarious watching 4+ radar CA/BBs camping empty caps as you zoom around spamming HE. Anti 'anti smoke' meta destroyers are fun and effective.

    That was a reference to the name, not class. The County class missile destroyer won't be in the game unless they add missiles.

    WG nerfed KGV deck armour to 25mm to fit her into tier 7, this turned her into the most fragile BB in the game. DoY/KGV will always be a campy/'run away' ship regardless of consumables or secondaries at tier 7.

Daring Destroyer leaders (Line of Kidd, one bank of torpedoes + heal from tier 5) 2. Talisman 3. Parker 4. V-Leader (Vampire) 5. Scott class (Jianwai) 6. Interwar leader 7. Tribal 8. L/M 9.     DPM is too low agasint T4 BB bow/sterns and many shells plunge on armoured decks/turrets or 13mm superstructure when spamming from a safe(ish) range. Fires are vital agasint heavily armoured low tier ships, loosing 1 percent for 4 captain points is too painful. BFT + PT is soooooo much better. Having said that most of my Vamp games have been with a 19 point Commonwealth captain with IFHE and DE.

    IFHE is a massive nerf to Vampire. Going from 17mm to 22mm pen is utterly worthless and you need every single fire percent agasint heavily armoured dreadnoughts.
  24. Superheal has a 20s work time. Presumably DoY gets a standard BB heal with one less charge. Wake me up when WG restore the 32mm armour and move it to tier 8.

    There's lots of things you could do to make each Leander unique. ...but WG are chasing the Asian market, instead of 1944 Achilles with great AA we get HungPoo. It was a reference to the film, Jamaica played Exeter.
