Just bought 20 Mega : 1. Aigle and 10 point captain 2. Monaghan and 10 point captain 3. 2000 Doubloons 4. 30 Leviathan flags 5. 30 Basilisk flags 6. 30 Leviathan flags 7. 30 Scylla flags 8. 2000 Doubloons 9. 20 NY streamer camo 10. 30 Basilisk flags 11. Kii and 10 point Captain 12. 30 Scylla flags 13. 20 NY Streamer camo 14. 5 Spring Sky Camo 15. 30 Ouroboros flags (Sorry thanks to Red Dwarf will probably always pronounce this "Our Rob or Ross" ). 16. 2000 Doubloons 17. 2000 Doubloons 18. 2000 Doubloons 19. 2000 Doubloons 20. 30 Hydra Flags From what I can see from here and Reddit the 20 Mega generally give 4-6 ships (unless the RNG is against you ), in my case I think the overabundance of Doubloons is probably because I have most 6-7 tier ships (dodged the Krasni Krem though! Phew!!! ) 12,000 Doubloons = 42.35 Euros Kii = 46.24 Euros So just on those 2 I guess I got my moneys worth, was looking to get Aigle from the Arsenal but guess now I can save the coal Did have a child like pleasure opening these though, which I guess is the point, not displeased with this haul -

I guess as they are getting rid of them they are going into the "rare" category anyway next year so why not? -

Yeah, actually he doesn't seem to record any difference between "Crate LIst" and Universal until you get to Mega crates, both 1.4% at gift, 5.3% at big gift, then for Mega, 6.2% Universal and 3.4% crate list so slightly weighted for Mega which I think we guessed anecdotally anyway. -

Thanks, looks like they all point to a low single figure percentage chance of a rare ship if that's what he means by "crate list": Missouri, Imperator Nikolai I, Gremyashchy, Mikhail Kutuzov, Belfast, Kamikaze, and Giulio Cesare as per the crate sale page -

Got 5 Mega containers 1 x super container De Grasse Tier VI with 10 point Captain 2 x 30 Red Dragon flags 2 x 20 New Year streamer camo Not disappointing you have to take these in the right spirit, that it is just a chance spin of the roulette wheel, and it's a bit of fun, De Grasse goes for 21.64 Euros atm, and the flags and camo will come in handy, Missouri or Musashi would have been nice but then so would winning the lottery lol -

None of this is much different than actual Christmas presents from friends or family, you hope for something cool or exciting, but once you tear off the paper it's just another bottle of shower gel that was on special offer, think it's great Wargaming managed to successfully recreate the Christmas experience -
I believe it's still on, certainly I still have missions and got some RN containers last night :)

From what I know of German it could have been a whole lot worse...

My favourites are radio and tv adds where they try to hurriedly include as many disclaimers as they can in the brief few seconds available

Wasn't defending it at all, good book to read "The Hidden Persuaders" by Vance Packard, read it donkey's years ago but it's become kind of a classic, lays out a lot of the tricks traditional stores pull (was written pre internet). Businesses want to make money and will always try to engage in these kind of tricks, and legislation and codes of practice only go so far, problem with the law is it needs to be very specific which leads to a lot of interpretation round the edges. After 2000 odd years "Caveat emptor" still applies.

Yeah my eldest daughter worked in a small Co - Op for a while while she was at Uni and hated it with a vengeance, had lots of stories, my youngest daughter still works for a larger supermarket but she does the night shift so fewer morons to deal with (usually managers as you say).

Yep, I'm especially careful with "multi packs", found on a number of occasions buying the same quantity of single items is cheaper. Seems to apply to Wargaming too

warned for team damage. torpedoes

Correct, I was once at close range to a BB visible in the gap between 2 high islands (playing Russian DD crappy 4km torps), just as the torps were through the gap a friendly cruiser charged across the gap in front of the BB on the other side of the island and caught the lot!, you can't see the cruiser either visually or on the map because of the islands, no other friendly's around, it's just one of those things , and you don't stay pink for long, not worth obsessing over after all it's only a game. Usually hyper careful with torps, I tend to use them up close and personal these days, be especially careful with the long range kind, 8 - 10km torps can easily end up in friendly territory if you don't watch your angles -
Reminds me of the line from Ready Player One (Movie) : " And that was when I realized that... as terrifying and painful as reality can be, it's also... the only place that... you can get a decent meal. Because, reality... is real."

What with the Captain and the fact it's the 1941 version I think they aiming this squarely at US players who will buy it for the same reason a lot of us Brits bought Vanguard and Dreadnaught, not because it's a killer ship in game but because it is an iconic ship.

Can imagine most people on here would end up with Captains which make the Halloween captains look boring and conventional lol
-
I have hated the US BB line, mainly due to the speed, or lack of it. I'm up to Colorado atm so no real reason to buy West Virginia, and I'm hoping the North Carolina will change the pace once I can grind it, besides just unlocked Nagato which looks a lot more fun. Must say whoever paints the Captains portraits has got a lot better, Wargaming should get them to give the existing ones a make over

Hood is a great ship, doesn't stop Wargaming being mean to her....... -

I play World of Warplanes more than Warships lately, but it's the same there, it's either the Spitfire or the Hornet in the British grindable line at tier 8 (both good planes within the game actually), though they have introduced Hurricanes lower down, whereas the Germans Russians and Americans have a multitude of nice planes with different roles. I hear Warplanes is produced by a different company in Belarus which is probably why the British aircraft aren't totally nerfed. Never played World of Tanks, was warned off by a friend who said chat and play was toxic, and full of 12 year olds -

Yeah Warspite was another old premium just after Tirpitz was released, which I had from the beginning, turret rotation was chronic like 70 odd seconds for full rotation, but they have eased that a bit now. I haven't played it lately but it had good dispersion, when I used it regularly had a lot of fun detonating cruisers at range using the spotter (those clowns who think "I'm behind an island no one can see me sitting here stationary"). Hood is a good ship which gets a lot of hate for some reason, I find it citadel's other ships nicely, it feels like a Scharnhorst kind of gameplay but without torps. None of the British ships are earth shattering though, think WG hates us (the guy who did the cossack obviously didn't get the memo) -

I read Vanguard fits in at mid range, must say from the games I've played it does seem happier there, island hugging if at all possible. AP is pant's tend to run with HE mostly -

I got one mainly because I wanted the Dreadnought, and it was my patriotic duty , but have to say compared to my Monarch it really doesn't feel that special apart from better AA and as you say rudder shift.
