I did not say videos are worthless so please get your facts straight before making accusations I have not told anyone to shut up or stop posting or anything I just asked them to make sure they get there facts straight, therefore please delete that comment Yes, conclusions drawn from a single screen shot are not accurate because this does not show the entire picture *edited*

Very helpful, should now have replays available Got the first replay, team went south so GK was always out of position 20171101_194522_PGSB110-Grossdeutschland_18_NE_ice_islands.wowsreplay
-
If you bothered to read the posts in the thread you would know why there are no replays If you bothered to actually read all of the discussion you would see that the concern is about poor hit rate hence the low damage numbers, not about damage numbers per see, therefore if you are going to comment, the comment should be about what is being discussed not something else entirely Not very constructive as none of the videos actually give advice as to where to aim against a moving ship, if the team is good, I get better damage results and survive longer, but still the discussion is about poor hit rates nothing else, therefore kindly keep to topic
-
The enemies were in C and advanced into B, went to support the majority of the team which was contesting B, by the time I was sunk 6 other team members had also gone to the bottom. You can not actually tell that much from screenshots however

I do not like to broadside so tend to move at an angle Shots either just drop ahead because he slowed down, drop all round and do not hit or just drop astern because he increased speed or I will get a single hit from a full salvo and all the others miss him (I like Dunkerque because I can stay bows on and still use all my guns) I always wait until the turret is green before I fire I have never counted the number of salvos fired but in the last gave with Dunkerque fired 124 shells = 16 salvo's (turret was damaged so lost half a salvo) for 38 hits and 61k damage
-
Battleships - if the ship is slow - approx 7.5 ahead or 5 astern if he is going backwards, for faster ships it is usually 10 ahead but 6 astern. If at an angle ahead and in which ever direction ship is travelling this is the same for if the ship is advancing or retreating Cruisers 10 to 12 ahead dependat upon speed and 6 or 7 astern Destroyers approx 15 ahead CV's between 5 and 10 dependant upon the speed of the CV
-
Evidently you are not reading any of the information posted Ze_Reckless and therefore should not be making comments about people buying ships otherwise you would have noticed that South Carolina has a 55% win rate Latest battle was with a Dunkerque and still only a low hit rate - I am stating about win rate I joined this thread to get some advice on main gun accuracy because I have low accuracy Dunkerque - 124 shells fired but only 38 hits
-
My survival rate is less than 50% apart from CV's Montana battle which is how I generally play, I shot at the cruiser first because nothing was visible in the center
-
You are miss interpreting the Data, I do not camp or hug the edge of the map except in certain ships (Shchors, Molotov etc) and then not always either I will post screen shot with movement for next few battles to prove the point
-
If one actually bothered to read the post, one would see that I have stated that the other types will be analysed over the next few days I finished the CV's today and have started the cruisers but there are 67 cruisers to transcribe the information for and that is before I get to the destroyers Tier Ship Battles Won Win rate Avg Damage Frags Aircraft VII Hiryu 180 71 39.00% 37225 103 1766 VI Ryujo 171 82 48.00% 30482 128 927 VII Saipan 156 64 41.00% 27119 79 1807 VIII Shokaku 120 53 44.00% 40834 64 890 V Zuiho 92 41 45.00% 34520 60 567 IX Taiho 87 26 30.00% 51730 38 682 IV Hosho 63 28 44.00% 23743 32 267 VII Ranger 32 19 59.00% 17889 5 252 IV Langley 27 19 70.00% 21850 11 283 V Bogue 19 7 37.00% 21304 5 79 VI Independence 19 6 32.00% 19460 5 95 VIII Lexington 8 4 50.00% 28145 0 62 VII Kaga 7 3 43.00% 51133 6 31

Yes there was a huge storm about mods on the US Server with 1000's of players being banned and there is an article about it on this server, and the basic outcome is that WG are looking at mod programs and will be cracking down on these in the future and the only mod program they will allow is the one that they deem to be the official mod program I play all types of ships, it was that I just found out how to access the individual ship stats in my player profile and I analysed the battleships first, will be analysing other ship types over the next few days. -
I am wary of installing mod packs because WG are banning people who have installed anything but the official mod pack, and as that is in Russian, I can not read it
-
I found the file but there is nothing in the file about replays - just spent 35 minutes going through it line by line, did find the dynamic crosshairs though
-
I do not operate any mods on the game and therefore have no idea how to post replays
-
I do not kiss the map border, I generally die about the middle of the map
-
I just looked at my statistics, can anyone tell me how I can get a better hit rate, for battleships I am only managing to hit on average 22.5% of the time

I think that WG have done some short cuts with regards to HMS Nelson as regards to armour. Many years ago I used to construct scale models of ships and I was sure that in the article on the Nelson in the model box it was stated that both the Rodney and the Nelson had sloped armour. Yet in the armour layout for the Nelson, there is no hit of the 15 degree slope on the armour that afforded extra protection HMS Nelson before the war. Class overview Name: Nelson class Operators: Royal Navy Preceded by: N3 class (planned) Revenge class (actual) Succeeded by: King George V class In service: 1927–1947 Completed: 2 Retired: 2 General characteristics (1942) Type: Battleship Displacement: 33,950 tons standard, 41,250 tons full load Length: 660 ft (201.2 m) p/p, 710 ft (216.4 m) o/a Beam: 106 ft (32.3 m) Draught: 28.5 ft (8.7 m), 31.5 ft (9.6 m) full load Installed power: 8 × Yarrow boilers 45,000 shp (34,000 kW) Propulsion: 2 shafts; geared steam turbines Speed: 23 knots (43 km/h) Range: 16,500 nmi (30,600 km; 19,000 mi) at 12 knots (22 km/h; 14 mph) Complement: 1,361 Armament: 3 × triple 16-inch (406 mm) guns 6 × twin 6 in (152 mm) guns 6 × single 4.7 in (120-mm) AA guns 6 × octuple 2 pdr (40 mm) AA guns 2 × 24.5-inch (622 mm) torpedo tubes Armour: Belt 14 in,13 in between closing bulkheads Middle deck 6.25 in over magazines, 4.25 in over machinery spaces Lower deck 6.25 in over steering gear Bulkheads 12 in forward, 10 in aft closing bulkheads, 4 in at stern 1.5 in longitudinals 16 inch Turrets 16 in faces, 11 in sides, 9 in rears, 7.25 in roofs 14–15 in barbettes 6 inch turrets 1.5 in faces, 1 in sides, roofs & barbettes Conning tower 13.5 in sides, 7.5 in roof, 6 in communication tube Director control tower 6 in sides, 4 in roof Aircraft carried: 1 (Nelson) / 2 (Rodney) from 1934 Aviation facilities: catapult on "B" turret (Rodney only) Armour Protection The Nelson class were the first British battleships to feature the all or nothing principle of armour in which a compartment was either fully armoured, or not at all. The protection comprised a main belt 14” thick over the main armament and 13”over the machinery spaces and the six inch guns, it was located internally some 12 feet inboard and sloped inwards at it’s base by 15 degrees, it covered from just over six feet above to six feet below the load water line, below this was the 1.5” anti torpedo bulkhead, out board of this protection scheme were void spaces which could be liquid filled to further absorb damage Inboard were compartments designed to limit flooding should the anti torpedo or armoured belt leak, the torpedo defence scheme was designed for defence against a 750 lb TNT charge. The main armoured citadel was closed off with 12” armoured upper bulkhead forwards with a 7” one below it, aft the bulkhead was of 10” armour plate. Deck armour consisted of 6.25” over the magazines at the level of the upper-edge of the main belt reducing to 3.75” over the machinery, below this was a lower deck of 4.5” forwards and 4” aft, additional to the armour on each deck was an additional 0.5” of normal plating. The barbettes protecting the turret operating machinery and shell hoists were 15” thick at the outboard and unprotected areas and 12” elsewhere, the main turrets had 16” thick face plates with 11” sides, 9” rear plates and 7.25” roofs, the six inch turrets were just 1.5” thick. The control tower and main director were protected with plating ranging from 16” to 4.5”. The above image shows the armour distrubution on the Nelson, Rodney as her sistership was identical to this, the black area is the main armoured belt covering the machinery and main magazines this was 14" over the magazines and 13" aft over the machinery and 6" magazines. The armoured control tower is shown below the bridge and abaft Xturret, this armour was up to 16" thick. What have WG done with this armour and when will it be reinstated or was it too hard to model

Pre Drednought era Operation's mode
pzkpfwv1d replied to Major_Damage225's topic in General Discussion
Pre dreadnoughts and other older ships plus some oddities that could be used in the pre dreadnought style of play would be nice If it was adopted, we might then see such oddities as the Satsuma (one of the last 2 pre dreadnoughts built for the IJN) with its 4 12" and 12 10" guns and we would also probably see the class of ship known as a Coastal Defence Battleship which amongst others Sweden operated and the UK had the Gorgon and we might also see monitors and river monitors as well - the Archipelago scenario would be ideal for deployment of both Monitors and River Monitors with coastal defence battleships and armoured cruisers to round off the play style- 17 replies

Clan wars should be for four hours every day, they had team battles every day so why not clan wars, also, there should be an option to recruit mercenaries for clans who are unable to get the requisite 7 players for a battle

Ise/Hyugi were discussed in another thread quite some time ago and someone from WG stated that they would never be implemented Ammo Rack explosion is an explosion in the Ready Use ammunition for smaller guns, supposedly one of the reasons that HMS Hood went down so spectacularly is because there was a fire in the ready use ammunition for for one of the additional Anti Aircraft systems installed and when the heavy shells hit, the fire was carried down into the magazine

A point raised earlier in this thread - Japan did not build any new battleships between 1920 and 1939 Note this is due to the build clause of the 1922 Washington Naval Treaty and this did not just affect Japan, if you look at the build times for Battleships and Battlecruisers there were actually no additional ships launched or planned until the start of rearmament in the mid 1930's due to this Nelson, Rodney and Hood were already nearly complete at the time of the signing of the Washington Naval Treaty, also other battleships completed in the early 1920's were subject to the special clauses of the treaty Aircraft carriers were initially converted battleships and battlecruisers and were also limited because the signatories though that it would be easy to convert them back into battleships and battlecruisers hence the low number of converted ships

I saw similar, when spawned I was at the bottom of the map and the rest of the team were half way up or more, they all shot off north apart from a single fighter squadron from the CV. I attempted to get near but before I had even traversed 2 squares there were 3 enemy battleships, 3 cruisers and destroyer bearing down on me plus the air wing from the Enemy CV as well. As you can imagine I did not last long on my own despite going into full reverse and trying to keep bows on to the enemy. Meanwhile the rest of the team were still going north

The Shinano was actually on her maiden voyage and fitting out when she was torpedoed by a US submarine, because the crew was inexperienced the water tight doors were not properly closed and she flooded out and capsized. She would basically fit as a very heavy cruiser with large aircraft capacity as she still retained her secondary armament and AA armament when she was sunk

It beats me why WG have Yamato at T10 and Musashi at T9 when they were sister ships laid down to the same specifications, I wonder what they will do with Shimano
-
I bought Kuznetsov, Perth and the other one when they first came out. At the time I was still in either T5 or T6 not sure which when I bought Kuznetsov so that gave me a T8 cruiser that I could use for ranked battles - yes that season had different categories of ships for different tiers and also the other type of battle which was discontinued
