    why ?

I stated that the German ships outclassed most of the Italian Battleships In 1940 when Italy joined the war, she had 2 Litorio class ships, 2 Guilio Cesare Class Ships (there were three but on sank during WWI) and 2 Caio Duilio class ships The Cesare's and Duilio.s were essentially the same ship with only minor modifications and all were modernised to the same extent However, by the start of WWII, the effective top speed of these ships (acording to Jane's) was only 22 knots. Maximum armour of 11" on turrets and conning towers and 9 3/4" belt amidships The German ships all had speeds of 30 knots and better armour as well
  2. When I was playing Atlanta more often the middle ground was a possibility but that is because the Atlanta has short range guns but can do significant damage at close range before she mostly dies, but did get a few battles where she killed battleships and survived

    Something to do with Credits

How about a H44 then, pretty sure it would cost the billion (US billion) credits to buy it if it were available, but then it would probably cost something like 50 million credits to operate per battle so that would resolve the problem of the super rich having too many credits as the sheer cost of running the ship would reduce the credit bulge Note, I need credits as I m grinding everything

USS Salem TX Us Cruiser is on it´s way

For one the stats are not accurate as to the true ship launched This ship seems to be 1.5" shorter in length than the actual ship Also, the armament differs significantly to the true ship Where have the 76mm guns come from and where have the 2 twin 127mm guns gone and the 60 x 40mm AA guns gone and where has teh extra speed come from as Des Moines had a top speed of 32 knots

    R(evenge) class Premium?

The Revenge (Royal Sovereign) class was not upgraded between the wars as were the Queen Elizabeth class, therefore, they were relegated to secondary duties at which they excelled. Due to design limitations, and the induced roll through stability which was thought to enhance gunnery, it was not practicable for these ships to be upgraded or fitted with more powerful machinery, however, for there design period they were still very potent weapons platforms and served through both world wars, one even being lent the Soviet Union as the Archangelsk
  11. I personally have 14 extra port slots, that is despite having approximately 170 ships in harbour

    French Cruiser Line !!!

I do not like heavy cruisers, they have slower fire power than light cruisers, unless very late tier, are armoured about the same or slightly worse due to the Washington Treaty (cruisers were not allowed to exceed 10000 tonnes or have guns larger than 8" (203.2mm)) I have researched all specks on the Mogami and have left it armed with 6" guns
  13. The answer is very simple as ColonelPete has stated, never ever, ever , ever , ever sell a ship

    Anyone still using AP?

Bouncing ammo is the norm, if the RNG does not like you, your shots will bounce off of most enemies including destroyers

    Anyone still using AP?

What burns is the following Teak decking Battleship grey paint Oil and grease on items like anchor chains Wooden interior fixtures Seals Fire is the single greatest killer of naval ships and always has been since the introduction of flaming arrows and flammable materials for catapults and balista
  16. I have just completed an actual examination of my in game statistics, and compared the ingame player stats to actual ships because I thought I had an accuracy problem which was causing me lower stats When I came to actually compare the ships in port to those on the stats I found several ships missing entirely from the stats even though I have had them for several months and played battles with them Destroyers - Gallant, Okhotnik both missing from the stats Cruisers - De Grasse, Jurien, HSF Graf Spee, ARP Myoko and Oleg all missing from the stats Therefore if they are missing ships, what else are they missing

    French battleships talk

The Richelieu class was a mid 1930's design, the original idea was for class of 4 modern battleships, two were semi completed by the time of the outbreak of WWII, Clemenceau was sunk during the siege of Brest in 1944 in an incomplete state by allied heavy bombers. Gascoigne was projected but never started. The Normandie class was a 1913 design for a class of 5 ships, they were started but due to WWI production was shifted elsewhere, 4 hulls were launched to clear slips but they were never completed apart from the fifth ship which was completed as the Bearn aircraft carrier There was also the Tourville class of the same layout but mounting 13.3" guns but these were never started Provence in harbor Class overview Preceded by: Courbet class Succeeded by: Normandie class (planned) Dunkerque class (actual) Built: 1912–1916 In commission: 1916–1953 Completed: 3 Lost: 1 Retired: 2 General characteristics Type: Battleship Displacement: Normal: 23,936 metric tons (23,558 long tons) Full load: 26,000 metric tons (26,000 long tons) Length: 166 m (544 ft 7 in) Beam: 26.9 m (88 ft 3 in) Draft: 9.8 m (32 ft 2 in) Installed power: 18–24 boilers; 29,000 shp (22,000 kW) Propulsion: 4 shafts; steam turbines Speed: 20 knots (37 km/h; 23 mph) Range: 4,600 nmi (8,500 km; 5,300 mi) at 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph) Crew: 34 officers 139 petty officers 1,020 enlisted Armament: 10 × 340mm/45 Modèle 1912 guns After 1935 (Lorraine only) 8 × 340 mm/45 Modèle 1912 guns 22 × 1 138.6 mm Mle 1910 guns 4 × 47-millimetre (1.9 in) guns 4 × 450 mm (18 in) torpedo tubes After 1935: 14 × 1 138.6 mm Mle 1910 guns 8 × 75mm/50 Modèle 1922 guns Armor: Belt: 270 mm (11 in) Decks: 40 mm (1.6 in) Conning tower: 314 mm (12.4 in) Turrets: 340 mm (13 in) Casemates: 170 mm (6.7 in) Jean Bart in 1914 Class overview Name: Courbet class Operators: French Navy Free French Navy Preceded by: Danton-class Succeeded by: Bretagne-class Built: 1910–1914 In service: 1913–1945 Completed: 4 Lost: 1 Scrapped: 3 General characteristics Type: Dreadnought battleship Displacement: 23,475 tonnes (23,104 long tons) (standard) 25,579 tonnes (25,175 long tons) (full load) Length: 166 m (544 ft 7 in) Beam: 27 m (88 ft 7 in) Draught: 9.04 m (29 ft 8 in) at normal load Installed power: 28,000 ihp (21,000 kW) Propulsion: 4-shaft Parsons steam turbines 24 boilers Speed: 21 knots (39 km/h; 24 mph) (trials) Endurance: 4,200 nmi (7,780 km; 4,830 mi) at 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph) Complement: 1,115–1,187 Armament: 12 × 305 mm Mle 1910 guns (six twin turrets) 22 × 138 mm Mle 1910 guns (all single turrets 4 × 47-millimetre (1.9 in) guns (all single mounts) 4 × 450 mm (17.7 in) torpedo tubes Armour: Belt: 180–270 mm (7.1–10.6 in) Deck: 30–70 mm (1.2–2.8 in) Conning Tower: 300 mm (11.8 in) Turrets: 250–290 mm (9.8–11.4 in) Barbettes: 280 mm (11.0 in)

    HMS Hood crap

I seem to remember but might be mistaken but I think Battlecruisers were planned as an additional line There were certainly enough classes of them if include those that were cancelled for various reasons 2 classes of 12" The Lion class - also known as the Splendid Cats HMS Tiger, which was an Improved Lion Renown and Repulse Glorious, Courageous and Furious in there original designs (4 x15" for the first 2 and 2 x 18" for the last), however, all of these were converted to Aircraft Carriers of the same names during the 1920's also due to the Washington Treaty HMS Hood One, possibly 2 designs scrapped under Washington Treaty clause

    HMS Hood crap

You have to remember tht HMS Hood is a battlecruiser and is supposed to rely mostly upon her speed for protection (according to Lord Fisher)
