You do have the free option with a penalty time before your Captain is at full strength or for 1/2 loss of penalty time lose 200 K. The gold is what gives WOWS income to run. In my opinion, the problem is the length of time of the time penalty needs to be adjusted for the tier of ship. Reallocation of skills is actually too expensive for most skill adjustments as it is most often in changing one skill. My suggestion for this is to have a fee to change 1 skill in a tier for another skill in the same tier.

I know why the statistics are loved by some as it helps show among other People love their stats for many reasons from the 'Ego feed' to the 'How am I doing compared to others' to 'I need good stats to get a good clan'. All are valid points, however, they fail completely for whom in my opinion for a large group of players is they become invalid. Invalid due to the fact that many players leave and return depending on RL. Returning players find changes to play for different classes and can't use their stats to compare their play to how they are playing. It sounds like it should, but if a player has played over a thousand games, the number of games needed to show changes and areas that need to be worked on to become a better player. What I am suggesting is the stats show the last hundred games so improved play is shown and all players needs for stats are met!.

    multiple loadouts on GrafZ

Why not just use the size of the squadrons to make them more balanced. DBs with 8 planes squadrons for effectiveness with the number of squadrons to be a way to balance the ship. Being able to change from AP to HE in game with conditionals as all bomber squadrons being on board a ship before it can be changed and that 1st of a new loadout increased loading time. The Graf Zeppelin was a armoured CV as were the British CVs, and while the Graft Zeppelin was only going to carry fighters and DBs, the British CVs only used fighters and "level" bombers with torpedoes or bombs, and thus will need a similar load out change ability when they are introduced..

    Counter to BB overpopulation

Perhaps it's you that doesn't understand the game? How many battles have you seen where even 4 DD's were on a team? How many have you seen with 7 or 8 BB's on a team? You may also have noticed that there are usually more BB's in que than all other classes combined! Why if not BBs are overpopulated? Perhaps, because risk and skill are not a requirement to do well playing in BBs. I see the problem is to require doing well in BBs requiring more risk and skill. I have a proposal, BBs gun range and range of site (pre-radar) are different, so any shots over a ships view range is being spotted by someone else. Now ships have range detectors and even basic tables to shoot accurately. When a ship is firing on a target reported by radio from the ship or plane spotting, the accuracy is going to drop so why not have that reflected in a large increase in dispersion? This way you are not forcing BBs to not snipe, but are making it much less effective.

    Counter to BB overpopulation

I was thinking that what is needed is to make doing well require movement and tactics on the part of BB players. 1)All know that there are 3 ranges of importance, view range (+ LOS), detection range, and weapon range(s). Fact: BBs weapon range is longer than the view range, so anything they are firing over that view range is due to someone else spotting for them. RL is that ships used Artillery target devices to adjust their fire aim, elevation needed etc. These could only used within view range. The communication with other ships planes etc spotting is much less effective. My suggestion is that all shells shot beyond vision range have a dispersion multiplier! This would work for all classes. Let's hear some more ideas.

    Counter to BB overpopulation

No one gets hurt! They dominate! Cruisers are easy targets for them as they can't hurt a BB a lot quickly, BBs can take out a cruiser with 1 or 2 broadsides. Cruiser are balanced against DDs, it only the BB that are hurt with a larger number of DDs. However that is more due to the lack of skill for most of the BB players. Also, when you have as many of one class in the queue all day, where the number of said class outnumber all the other classes together, you then have a overpopulation of that class! BBs require the least skill due to their having the most HP, the highest armour values and more repair parties and the lowest risk class with the higher reward potential. DDs on the other require the most skill due to the least HP, lowest armour and no repair parties and have the highest risk with lowest reward potential.

AP shells are designed to allow penetration. Early WWII-era uncapped AP projectiles fired from high-velocity guns were able to penetrate about twice their caliber at close range (100 m). At longer ranges (500-1,000 m), this dropped 1.5–1.1 calibers due to the poor ballistic shape and higher drag of the smaller-diameter early projectiles. Later in the conflict, APCBC fired at close range (100 m) from large-caliber, high-velocity guns (75–128 mm) were able to penetrate a much greater thickness of armor in relation to their caliber (2.5 times) and also a greater thickness (2–1.75 times) at longer ranges (1,500–2,000 m). He shells were used almost exclusively for bombardment on shore installations. They were not designed to penetrate armoured ships. They could penetrate thin armour because of weight and velocity, but they were not used in ship to ship battles unless it was used to sink abandoned vessels, but even then it was easier to use a torpedo. While I agree that fire on a ship is a serious concern, raging fires sinking a Warship is extremely rare . as I explained in point 2 APHE rounds This is how Warships differ from regular ships and redundancy of electronics and equipment means a ship can continue with minor fires taking out electronics etc. A simple solution to force BBs to actually have to use tactics would be to increase the size of the squares theoretically, I mean by this instead of a square representing 4 K it would be 4.5 K.. Thus instead of 4 squares being equal to 16 K it would be equivalent to 18 K not 4.5 squares. Thus a BB with 20 K range would not be 5 squares away it would have to move up to 4.45 squares away. The BBs with their slower speed would have to think more strategically.

Fire on ships. HE is being used now almost exclusively without many AP rounds in a match in any of the battle mods. Why not you may do less damage with HE, but the fire damage goes to you as well. Since BBs have the biggest shells they cause more damage then the skill level they have at a tier. Least effort greater rewards. I realize that this is a game and not a simulation and some things need to be over stressed. However Ships catching fire while fighting and burning down just didn't happen much at all. There are multiple reasons 1) Steel construction prevents almost all HE explosion as they detonate on contact. Ap shells are just kinetic rounds and punch holes in anything they hit until the force generated can't overwhelm a resistance. They don't cause fire. He explosions explode on contact and there is little flammable to start major fires. A HE shell that causes internal damage will only do so by passing through a whole made by a AP shell or other openings into the innards of the ship will explode inside the ship. 2) Enclosed and compartmentalize construction. If a fire occurs the area is locked down and all hatches locked. Even without a fire suppression system the fire will go out with the oxygen is all consumed. 3) Most ships are sunk by fire have done so after the crew has abandoned ship and that is due to the hatches have been open for the crew to abandon ship and no one aboard to handle even a minor fire that can turn into a larger fire. I suggest instead of allowing additional percentages that instead multiple percentage be used. 6% with the addition of 10% is 16% vs 6% with the multiplier of 10% is 6.6% or alternatively change some of the percentage of additional chance of fire to the percentage of fire extinguishing/preventing fire. Also why are consumables replaced at cost if they were never used?

    British Premium CV

HMS Nabob (D77)* and HMS Puncher (D79) were Bogue-class (British Ruler class) and crewed by the RCN with aircrew from the Fleet Air Arm. The British Admiralty had determined that, post-World War II, the Royal Canadian Navy would have its own aircraft carriers. For this reason, Puncher and Nabob were crewed by Royal Canadian Navy personnel to establish the knowledge base for the future carriers. However, the aircrew was from the Fleet Air Arm. Between them they carried the following Aircraft Fairey Barracuda torpedo bombers, The Barracuda was one of the largest carrier-borne aircraft in the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm and required rocket assistance to take flight from the small flight deck! Fairey Swordfish torpedo bombers Grumman Avenger ant-submarine aircraft Fairey Firefly fighter/bombers Grumman Martlet fighters (F4F Wildcat) Even before the Wildcat had been purchased by U.S. Navy, the RN Fleet Air Arm(FAA) had ordered the Wildcat, with their own configurations. It scored its first combat victory on Dec 25th 1940, Hawker Sea Hurricane fighters Vought F4U Corsair Grumman Hellcat fighters *Nabob was a member of Force 2 during Operation Goodwood, where her Wildcats of 852 Squadron flew Cap over the carrier and her Avengers of 852 and 856 Squadrons flew anti-submarine patrols. While the main force attacking Tirpitz prepared for another strike, the escort carriers went to refuel the DDs . During these operations, Nabob was torpedoed by the German submarine U-354. The torpedo impact made a hole 32 sq ft (3.0 m2) below the waterline on the starboard side aft. The stern sank 15 feet (4.6 m) before flooding could be controlled. Eventually the damage control parties effected enough repairs that the ship could make 10 knots (19 km/h; 12 mph). Five days later she slowly steamed into ScapaFlow under her own power.

    Commonwealth ships?

Any chance of there being a Commonwealth Tree of regular ships? I have in the past put forward a Cruiser branch for tiers 1-8. Also I have been working on a DD branch based on the Anthony an "A" class at tier 5 and Gallant a "G" class at tier 6. The RCN for example had a modified special build for the RCN "A" class with a reinforced hull to protect against ice as well as a slightly longer ranger and a modified forecastle. Also all the "C" class DD went to the RCN and the last two built tribal class built in Canada (Micmac and Cayuga) had completely different armament along with improved fire control etc. so in effect a sub-class.

I can see your point in regard to heals, but then again they have armour and most Hps in the game then why do they need so many heals/repair?. They target cruisers first because they are easier to kill and especially with HE and fire. You rarely see a BB using AP except for shooting at other BBs and even that has decreased with HE buff for creating fires. Logic would direct that CAs have more heals/repairs, but by giving them 1 at least they have a chance and not be one shot kills.(1 massive hit followed by fire) which is hurting 1 class by making another class OP and need lower skill to play. Imho if this doesn't change it will become a game of BBs vs BBs.

I was thinking that requiring them to do a set amount of damage (adjusted by tier) before damage started earning credits and rep. I was also thinking if you reduce the number of repair parties to 2 with a level 2 bring 3 while at the same time give cruisers 1 with a level 2 giving them a 2 starting Tier 5. The other change needs to be made to catching fire as BBs do enough damage with HP damage and 49% chance of causing a fire is too much. I would suggest that only HE penetrating shots would have a low chance of fire and a slow rate of eating hit points! No-penetrating HE rounds act only Modules/ low damage to hitpoints as explosives! The BB player would then have to chose what ammo for what ship type.

    Commonwealth Tree Cruisers

The Adelaide is more than capable at tier 4. In its 1938 upgrade it had 8x1 15.2mm, 3x4" dual purpose guns, 12X1 mg and upgraded Fire control. In 1942 it was updated with 6 20 mm Oerlikon guns. Compare it to other tier 4 cruisers! Now it had a top speed of 25 knots and the lowest speed, but the best AA at tier 4.. This is without upgrades, so as you can see with 8x 6" guns main Battery, 3x 4" secondary battery. It is one of the best AA ships with 3X 4" secondaries, 6x 20mm guns and 12 mgs. I understand what you are trying to convey, but it is impracticable as the time to produce look at the amount of time for WG to develop a line, and that is not counting the Italian Tree as well as 1 more DDs, 1 BB line. There will be only 8 BBs and 9 DDs brought forth in those trees. Plus at least 3 to 4 premiums over time. I suspect that these will be looked at the famous Classes for both lines. Other famous ships will be primaries. You pointed out the number of lines that would be needed; 3 BB lines is 27 ships 18 will never be placed in the game so why not use them to fill other trees for those ships gifted, lent or sold to other nations. The short blurb info on a ship will show that it was a RN ship. The commonwealth received 2 classes of CVL and 1 lend lease CVE so if you have more then 9 classes then why not put them into the game? The same goes for the CL/CA and the DDs.

    Commonwealth Tree Cruisers

I understand the point you are making, . You have almost convinced me, except it feels wrong for New Zealanders don't have a national cruiser in a tree. I suppose if we put at tier 1 and 2 tier RNZN ships that might suffice to makeup for keeping the Leander in the RN tree. Philomel at tier 1 NZ Monowei at tier 2 NZ Niobe at tier 3 CDN Adelaide at tier 4, Aus Quebec at tier 5 CDN Ontario at tier 6 CDN Perth Premium Australia at tier 7 AUS Canberra Premium Now to your example : I very strongly disagree. The RN Tree doesn't require more ship classes for the number of tier and branches it has, not even if you were double the size of the British Tree for any class it would still have spares classes. What we have to remember is that there aren't a lot of classes in the Commonwealth tree. I have been looking at a Destroyer tree for the commonwealth and for example the Tribal class with the RAN having had 3, RCN 8 and the RN with 16, so obviously they would go into the RN tree as they had several famous ones like the HMS Cosack Now the Canadian players want to have the HMCS Heida (one of the RCN Tribal class) so it be best to have it as a premium in the Commonwealth tree. Although It might be possible to put in the last two built Tribals; the HMCS Micmac and the HMCS Cayuga into a tier maybe just 1 tier lower as they were not armed with the 3x2 4.7 inch guns and 1x2 4" guns , but rather with 4x2 4 dual performance guns!

    Commonwealth Tree Cruisers

Okay, I consed that point. However the ships can be made to fill any tier. The Prince David for example isn't a cruiser it's a late 40's sloop. Let me see if I understand your point, there was no RNZN when the Leander the RN's in the New Zealand Division of the RN crewed by New Zealanders until 1941 when the RNZN came into being when it was commissioned into the new navy with the same crew! . You then consider it is a Royal Navy ship? False, It was a ship gifted to the RNZN, owned by New Zealand, manned by New Zealand and under New Zealand operational control until it was severely damaged in 1943 and was out of the war until it rejoined the RN in 1947 until scrapped in 1950 You need to remember that there 6 different forms of Dominion warship ownership/operation!.1 Ship ordered by dominion, manned by dominion personnel, under Dominion operational control. WWI DD Parramatta. WII, Australia, Canberra, Arunta, Warramunga, Sydney, Perth, Hobart etc.2 Ship ordered by dominion, manned by Dominion personnel with key RN personnel on loan for command and technical roles, WWI Battlecruiser Australia, WWI CLs.3 Ship gifted by RN to dominion, owned by Dominion, manned by Dominion and under dominion operational control. Example WWI Encounter, Canadian cruisers, WWII Shropshire, Canadian/NewZealand cruisers.4 Ship owned by RN, under RN operational control, manned by Dominion and commissioned as a Dominion warship. WWII, N and Q destroyers.5 Ship owned by RN, under RN operational control, manned by Dominion but commissioned HMS example New Zealand division CLs, early WWII.6 Ship entirely RN, with Dominion naval personnel on board on exchange, up to and including captain and in various proportions (countless RN capital units and escort carriers).
