WG are slowly correcting some of the map issues. North sometimes has a new cap system with the Idiot cap (that's D to sensible people) removed although it doesn't always come up corrected. Game time could even be reduced slightly but 20mins is likely the best balance. Scuttling is fail, there are suicides in WoT. Playing for who is left will only encourage the low skilled to camp even harder if that's at all possible. If a game ends in minutes it's a good thing in my eyes as it obviously didn't deserve to go on. Some maps do need re works so people are encouraged to do the right thing...

Yus, the "balanced" unified deck is certainly a start as before you either played AS and got outbombed, 1/1/1 and get out muscled too or Strike to be completely farmed. It's just that other CVs can do the whole defensive thing as well or better than a Lex can but they have a better ability to take it to the enemy or to spread out their planes. The way I'd sum up Lex is that an Enterprise or a Shokaku of equal ability will beat you as their decks are better, good job most CVs suck but yeah it needs further work.

1 Fighter Lex depends on your team doing their jobs well. If you have solo potatoes wandering off then their CV is going to target them and it would not be right to send your sole fighter to cover the yolo idiot. This repeats and it's harder for Lex to take the offensive so you end up on a downward spiral to a loss...

Not downplaying you having a good game there but you're clearly better than that Shokaku. My issue with the Lex is that vs anyone competent you're going to have a pretty tough time. Or at least I do...

Even with the USN Deck rework, Lex is frustrating as hell. 1 fighter simply isn't enough as even bad CVs can outplay you if your own team doesn't pull their weight. Last Lex game I played I stopped a Shokaku snipe, had my fighters strafing everything possible and scored over 100k bombing damage of my own yet we lost. Guess I'll just use my Enterprise...

Yeah maybe that's why I dislike the Z52... I much prefer to be the mobile DD, I almost never smoke camp, with the only time I do is when I'm the only DD left and I've got nothing else to do whilst my Torps rearm.

Ships and Tanks are completely different so meh to that comparison. Steamrolls are worse here because they waste more time, a Tanks steamroll will literally only take up a few minutes of your time but here it can still suck up 10mins+ whilst you stare at the inevitable conclusion. Solution? Play DD instead of BB as you can actually influence the course of a game instead of waiting for others to make it for you...

Ah the T10 DD debate... I have them all other than Shima. I'm a big fan of Grozo, i don't even take AFT and use her as a traditional DD as 6km concealment is actually pretty good and you eat most other DDs at mid range. Strangely I'm indifferent to the Z52 even though it's all round pretty damn strong. Something to do with the 1500 damage HE which really hurts your DD dueling.

You need to claim the WoWS gift from the Twitch website after signing up for Prime. Then cancel the Prime My Kappa is sitting in storage for the time being. Since I've got 3 out of 4 USN lines to T10 and I'm not in a hurry to grind Midway.

Yeah I agree. Whilst I'm really enjoying PA DDs and their DWT I can't help but think of the impact they have on the average BB player. I literally nuked a Monarch the other day with one salvo of DW torps, I wonder what the affect it had on that poor little potatoes brain as he went from 60k to zero with nothing he could do about it. It won't occur to the potato that they should have used WASD or actually looked at the map. I probably created another BB camper that moment as he'll never come within 15km of any action ever again

Some players have utterly no idea in this or WoT. Very simple way of doing ok is TO ROLL WITH YOUR TEAM. Even a lemming train is better than going solo and arguably a train to a central cap or location is entirely sensible...

Last update is largely good. I like the new water effects, I notice no difference in how ships handle. Mini map finally doesn't need a mod to be usable at higher res, size of the icons are nice too. No FPS difference here. The Hermes campaign was boring and had completely awful rewards. Would rather have more 10 pt captains but it's no big deal. French BB are meh for me, nice enough I guess. Looking forward to USN Cruiser line split anyway.

It's actually harder to get high totals with the HE spam these days I find. Back when AP bow tanking was a thing the numbers could be huge. Although potential damage came in fairly recently....

You'll find the lead becomes an issue because people can actually dodge your shells whilst in flight at long ranges. I find the lead is fairly linear but I've fired the guns so many times that I just adjust without too much thought. Watch the shells if there's any doubt and adjust for the next salvo.
