It's probably a mixture of Prem ship abuse and WG having too many credits events and campaigns. Some weekends you can win a million credits easily in random missions. WoT doesn't have anywhere near as many missions where you can take it in like that.

Also unless you love Atlanta gameplay or Div all the time with a Kaga then skip the Flint. I've barely played mine, Belfast power creeps it hard.

Why am I so filthy rich in WoWS then? But poor @$$ in Tanks. Guess I've played a lot of Prem Ships. Do I need to go play more Lowe?

Full Tank including FP, BoS and the Dmg Con 2 module with supporting flags is insane. Fire duration falls to almost Cruiser levels (not far off 30s). I'd take BoS over Vigilance these days.

No Irrevocable ranks are what some players deserve. The amount of Ranked games I've played where someone throws on purpose after their decisions get overruled by the majority or where they yolo then blame others is probably nearing half of all Ranked games I've played. I'm so glad I'm never going near this game mode again...

I think the UI lag is partly to blame on CVs being so badly optimised. Like when you zoom out the game chugs as I don't think WG has done much with draw distance and zooming out. The strafe lag is amazing sometimes as it can get desynced enough to have no bearing with what's happening on screen.

When someone FXPs to T10 and realises they made a big, big mistake as they've been found wanting in actual game experience

Or if your own CV is so bad that the enemy one goes into free farm mode... That's when games get really enjoyable

An Irrevocable higher up would make the problem with Ranked far worse. There are many players who simply do not deserve to be up there and are carried. No Irrevocable Ranks would cut the number of carried players down. As long as you play consistent you shouldn't be falling very far at all before a recovery. Maybe WG just need to scrap star keeping although they've obviously found the current system is working pretty well.

Depends if you care about team play. It's a disgusting mechanic but also saves your sanity when you constantly get lel teams that throw games... I'm in 2 minds about it as if I ever played Ranked again I'd probably want to farm stars but it's not really in the spirit of playing fairly.

I'm not sure if it's this or if T10 ships such as Cruisers and BBs are just more powerful and are capable of doing huge damage at range...

In Random Battles you'll always get someone who gives you enough broadside to AP pen. Although I find even heavily angled BBs can be hurt for a few thousand per salvo into the sides of the superstructure. Wouldn't trade like that but it's better than zero damage and it does stack over a course of a game as the big numbers do come. In fact my last few Kron games I've done low damage until the end game where everyone starts to split and does silly things allowing the citadels to flow. Kron only really has one job I guess, the long range AP bombardment one. Even T10 Cruisers have to beware if you stick to that. DMs aren't effective at the ranges Kron fights at. Maybe Hindy and Moskva are your most dangerous Cruiser opponents. I'm enjoying mine more than the now Hipper grind. Whilst it's not like playing a BB, I find the Kron painless to play with the long range AP spamming.

A clan mate actually says the star saving mechanic is the only thing that keeps them sane in Ranked. Maybe that is true but it just shows up how bad the game mode currently is. RE my own star farming play this season, I actually did fine and I barely spoke to my team or bothered with team play this season. I just did my BB damage thing regardless. Just went to the contested cap, shot DDs, Radar Cruisers or targets of opportunity and repeated until I got bored for the day. It might just be T10 but with a Monty I played to the objective and selfishly at the same time as you could park angled at 15km from a cap to provide accurate fire, a tanking presence all whilst being under low risk of being torped as you were far enough so their spreads won't hurt you much. If your team did well you could push and you were far enough to back off if they failed then initiate the full farm. Giving a big flat win bonus would be nice but I can't see WG adding it as it makes it too close to CW rewards. Plus if it mirrored CW then the farm would be insane, I think I earned over a million Elite XP last CW season with flags...

Well I've played a bit of the reborn Eugen but there are so many Cruiser predators at the higher tiers, including Kron which must be King of the T9 bunch? Last Cruiser I grinded was the DM and Balti was enjoyable at T9 however...

My situation is that I'd grind Hindy for Random Battles. Very much doubt I'd be called up to be the CW Cruiser as I'm our DD/Backup BB. I actually enjoy Moskva in Randoms due to the amazing railguns. Will have to endure the lol that is Hipper and chicken rear turret Roon however... I'll probably just play one battle a day and enjoy more Kron.

Just thought... Can't wait for the down tiered Premium A Hull Zumo at T8 with a lol raised citadel and other nerfs

Kron has an almost universal pen ability like Roma and to a lesser extent USN BB AP. If you can handle Cruisers at higher tiers then you won't be disappointed with Kron. There are a few teething issues with the guns but it's a very strong ship in the majority of most MM.

Hmm thnx... I'll grind a Hindy slowly but no huge rush as I probably won't be using her in CW. Was close to unlocking her for Ranked but I made progress in a BB.

The way Flamu puts it in his preview is pretty much spot on. Kron is massively better than all other T9 Cruisers as the HP pool is simply huge. The Ultra AP isn't bad either... It's so good in fact that I'm reconsidering if it's even worth my time grinding a Hindy from the Yorck.

Hmmm dunno as I played a lot of YY this season and the choice between radar and smoke meant that I could contest caps with radar but have no smoke to sit in to spam down ships after their DDs were dead. Black having both is pretty strong I think. The sea mines might be more of an issue but you'll be able to send out 10 in an overlapping pattern which can be pretty hard to dodge but I can report on that in a week or so when I have mine

T10 is the last unmolested tier RE Prems yeah but that'll change... T9 would already be a stupid Ranked proposal because of Missouri, Black and Kron. Can you imagine how powerful a Kron would be in 7vs7 with that HP and the AP shells lol... The other 2 ships need no explanation.

The star and XP system needs to be looked at I feel. This season I deliberately set out to save stars as my primary objective instead of actually winning and it massively smoothed my path up to the top. That's not sporting and it's a pretty disgusting way to play but it saves countless hours of stress as you don't need to care about your team playing well or being effective. All you needed to do in a BB was to start doing damage early and keep doing it to as many different targets including DDs. As long as you can aim you'll come top a good chunk of the time as when angled you're very hard to kill and torps won't do a thing to you if your parked about 15km from a cap. If your team collapses then look for a good moment to angle away to farm even more. 2 or even 3 solo caps as a DD would earn you little compared to a Confederate and High Calibre farmer as the main problem with capping is prolonging the game so the damage farmers can do more damage. When you were the damage farmer it was worth considering withdrawing your support for caps if it looked hopeless so your team would fold faster and you'd retain your XP lead. I've probably said the above a few times on a few different threads but it's better if people knew. The more than have an issue with it the better as WG will either change the format or people will abandon it. Or they'll just ignore us and carry on as that's never been done before
