I was actually somewhat indifferent to the "Birthday weekend" but the post about "usual suspects at it again" is extremely dismissive and borderline offensive. Maybe the issue is that most people who post on this forum are probably going to be a bit more experienced or dedicated than the average player. We all own Premium Ships and have probably all invested some Premium time etc. The weekend offer doesn't inspire me as I've got plenty of credits, free XP and flags saved up and I'm not paying essentially Scharnhorst level of money for a Chinese Benson that I could get for free if I cared to play USN DD a little more. I own a good selection of Premium ships and would happily spend again. Maybe the 50% discount on Silver and a selection of Premium ships is amazing to the average player? If the Arizona and/or Anshan were available at a cut price I'd probably have bought both. Even if Gremy and Nokai were sold again at full price I'd have bought (I don't expect to see either again). WG should atleast try to address some of the issues here and not just dismiss all of us as serial complainers, a good chunk of people on this thread are likely waiting to buy the Scharnhorst which is essentially the price of a AAA 1 player title...

Biggest issue with AS is if the other CV lands a single good torp run you've already lost out on max damage. AS Saipan is great for Ranked but the 2/2/0 build is the best way to fly on Random Battles.

Maybe WG went too far with the nerfs to the Kiev. SE is important for knife fighting. At longer range with the acceleration module a Kiev can be really hard to lead.

I refuse to pay even £3 for the Campbeltown. It's stats suggest it's the sort of ship that should be a gift to all players. Especially when the Kami R could be grinded for free back when the project was on and that one's a viable ship. Tex is pretty good fun however but I'm a bit sore I paid full price for both the ship and the silly Merica camo

AFT then SE imo, the fire chance is overrated when you can boost your hp beyond 10k or whatever horrid figure it is without SE... SE is quickly becoming essential for DD, they seem to benefit the most from a HP injection. There's an argument it should stand above all other level 4 skills apart from AFT for the RU ships. Remember, all the extra fire chances and skills are worthless when you're not alive to use them

It is a lot of money in total for a Chinese Benson and some goodies on the side. I've got more then enough credits and free xp not to need dubs or more Prem time. Personally I was more excited about the CV weekend as I got 25% off a Saipan and it was nobody's birthday then

I struggle to find how hard it could be to balance the Scharnorst... Just give it guns that are 60% of what the Tirp guns are. It should struggle against other BB but be deadly to cruisers. Surely the 15" Gneis would be just as bad at T7 as it's using Tirp guns at a lower tier.

Is there one on the ship? I've looked long and hard over her and I cannot see one. Even the Warspite has her name badge I know IJN Prem ships don't seem to be named but the majority of other Premium Ships have their names on their hulls somewhere.

Even if they sold the Anshan I'd have been more than happy, doubt they'll sell it again because of its insane camo bonus...

Would people seriously be happy with the King Albert instead of the Scharnhorst? I've got no interest whatsoever in a T3 BB... Especially if I have to pay for it, it would have to have derp guns like the rest of the T3 BB so it isn't silly OP.

If you don't like the birthday offers then simply don't spend. If most of the EU feels as we do then they'll notice the lack of revenue...

Sorry WG, Happy Birthday and all but there's nothing there that will encourage me to spend a penny. I've got almost 60 million credits and nothing to spend them on, I'm happy to grind RU DD beyond the Kiev by just playing, same with my IJN CV line. I either already own or seriously don't want any of the 50% off ships (I'll look at Mikasa with colour preview in port rather than play it). Not going to spend on a Chinese Benson when the Scharnhorst is so close, or have you messed up the balance of it so hard that it'll be stalled indefinitely?

No!!! Certain ships will benefit more than others ( high tier BB ) and would essentially be op. They're just park bow in and tank it up.

I thought survival bonuses were Dreadnaught rewards and those fire& flooding ones...

Every IJN BB from 5 and above is awesome. Except Izumo maybe... Kongo is still an all time great ship.

Zooming out a single click in 2560 res gives USN DD, Cleve and Atlanta acceptable aim much like most other ships. Not a huge problem...

I've played it a few times now and it seems to increase ppl camp sniping and slows down the game even more.

The Acceleration mod is good on a Kiev as you shouldn't be knife fighting in her anyway. Can really make people miss when you vary your speed on every salvo they make. Might have to try it on my Sims, I insist on rudder still even though the stock one is insane.

Yeah I grinded 175 games in the NC. Iowa is just a bigger NC with better guns. NC worth learning and suffering for a bit. Yes, Tirp at T10 is far worse than the OPs issue. At least he can get into range and brawl. T10 Tirp gets sniped by better BB or torped...

An up-tiered Warspite game is still more fun than a Tirp game where you're faced off against T10 ships... Atleast you can do something and aren't with a bunch of people who play "conservative" to put it lightly

Warspite's always had a slightly weak behind but overall the ship works as she should now

If the Tirp can't protect itself from higher levels even with Manual AA I think I'll still rather go stealth Tirp. CV are a fairly rare breed these days, I'll suffer weaker AA for a stealth rating I can use every single game.

Tirp AA is serviceable, you can punish some mid tier CV for trying to sink you. I really want to take the Manual AA Captain Perk however the idea of a Stealth Tirp (CE) appeals too much

Well if you've still got any support left then go to them. I speak as if I'm facing one in a BB and there's no other options. No point running away, better to try and show some aggression so you can get a bit closer. Of course a good one will just sail away whilst still shooting but then you should be trying to force objectives maybe. Certainly hope it isn't touched or I'll just stay on the Kiev forever...
