From my battles on the PT you can shoot at something bow in with AP in the Bismarck and it'll do some damage. Not loads and not a cit but enough for them to not to camp bow in. I'm actually coming round to it but I think it's a buff for German ships and the Amagi. German stuff because they have strong all round armour anyway and Amagi because it never had any immunity zones but has the biggest salvo of the T8 BB. USN ships are harmed the most as their high tier ships were weaker from the sides and needed a bit of frontal armour...

Using Bismarck on the PT, it still seems very strong. In some ways without invincible bow armour it seems to change the dynamic a little. Even 15" Bismarck guns can overmatch bows now so it's an end to the slow in camping maybe. We'll see though...

I wouldn't say its P2W as people paid for a particular ship and would rage if WG nerfed. Also it'll give the Tirp and Bis a bit of a difference as currently the Bismarck is massively better imo because of the secondaries. Still though, the bow armour is one thing that didn't need changing...

Another excellent review LWM I've been using the Warspite since Christmas 2015 and I have played nearly to the point of a 15 point captain. Even in the darkest days I found her perfectly functional. Recent MM can make her a little uncomfortable to use but once you adapt to her guns she can perform well in most situations. Bayern maybe better now as even tho her guns derp, the German ship will usually simply out live the Warspite to do decent damage. Interesting to see if RN BB keep the old rudder and damage control characteristics.

Tirp keeps it but Bismarck doesn't?! Also it's an Amagi buff as it essentially strengthens her guns as you can pen bow in guys now.

Wasn't it sold as the Kamikaze minus the R but was essentially the same?

T9/T10 are so slow paced. Ppl always say BB camp back but I try and push with the smaller ships. If I start taking torps and hit about 50% hp then I have to pull back with the snipers. T7 seems to be the golden spot right now. Quite often top tier in MM and T7 BB are very strong against lower tiers.

DD hunting is fairly hard in the Saipan. Her torps are fairly widely spaced, unless I'm doing something wrong

Stop using the Ranger? Every time I see one it loses... Go Strike build with Saipan, as long as you can torp drop the right targets then you stand a decent chance.

The high tier BB nerf only makes German BB stronger and maybe the Yam too. The Germans suffer less from having no invincible front as the rest of their armour is so good. Front armour was a key strength to the Iowa Izumo just got another level added to their joke status. Why not add the xp revamp first then see if the bow nerf is needed??

Only way to fly the Bismarck is a full secondary build. Before it was released i had a stealth build for my Tirp which actually works really well if you're willing to be patient and wait for good shots. Deleting cruisers who have no idea you're sailing at 13km from them doesn't get old.

It does, I'm not at home so can't show you a screenshot but my max captain xp this weekend is something silly like 23,000... Stack xp camo, dragon flag, captain xp flag and hope you win big!!

You'll get the rest after the x3 xp weekend... I imagine WG don't want everyone to abuse the 333% Captain XP. I'll be saving mine for the xp weekend to stack up with other flags/camos...

And not getting an enemy squadron stuck to you so you're forced to fight to the death.

Thanks for nerfing the T9 RU DD and the Khab too WG. Now I can stop playing the Trashkent and save my free XP. I agree with others over the bow thing as currently it rewards the brave. Now those on the fence will just hang back and be chicken I'd rather they slapped down the Bismarck's secondaries slightly...

I killed a Minekaze last night in the Warspite. The guy followed me for about 5 mins trying to torp me at 4km and failing to land even one hit. Eventually my Secondaries and Main guns got him. Who knows why he didn't cut his losses and cap... Challenged folk can be fun too. I'm sure you wouldn't complain if that guy was on your side.

Only Prem IJN BB in game. It's not amazing but it's unique. I barely play mine as I'm grinding captains on more worthwhile ships. Atago can grind BB in a pinch.

You can aim to knockout turrets when brawling so I don't think it should be removed. I see detonations as light comedy at the start of games. Nothing like killing a high tier cruiser in one shot and watching them rage

Hiryu is miles better than the Ryujo for me. So much so that I even bought the perm camo for it. Has enough planes to stuffer losses and it's Strike deck can pretty much wipe any single ship if you know how to aim.

I would guess that Dive Bombers drop their payloads very low so travel time for the bombs isn't an issue.

Well if the subs of that period only do about 17 knots on the surface and 8 knots underwater (well that U boat does) then they're going to be utterly outclassed on the types of maps in game.

Hopefully they'll be so slow that they'll be unplayable...

Concealment for any BB that can equip it. Especially now that SA is free, being able to shoot first undetected is extremely powerful in a BB. Can really punish those who feel it is correct to shoot at anything as soon as they're in firing range.

Personally I say no, Amagi never had the best armour layout and now with the Bismarck so common you will feel the Amagi's shortcomings more. Plus all the casemate guns on the Amagi are AP, which are almost useless...
