I want Rank 1 mostly for the Jolly Roger flag to scare noobs in Random Battles... Chances are I won't be playing Ranked again after I've got 1 once as i can buy my own doubloons and I don't really want a Flint. Unless they change the format. Will give it a go but I'd recommend anyone to review their situation often. No point trying to get 1 with a week left and you're still 5 etc...

That Reddit post is an interesting analysis of Ranked. I changed ships too often last season and didn't grind hard enough. Made a point of stopping if I felt I was onto losing streaks where I simply should have powered through. It gets progressively harder as you Rank up which can be a fair bit demoralising too. Like massively cliff face harder. Had others talking about how they fell from about Rank 5 down to double figures.

I've never been detonated by a torp in an Amagi where I have been in the Germans and American BBs... Amagi and Bis are totally different ships, there is a place for both in anyone's port. I still enjoy my Amagi but I think the game currently favours the German play style, I'll be going KM for Ranked!

Manual Fire control with full secondaries on the Bis makes it a pretty insane BB. Something that reaches out to something like 10.6km which hits larger ships every few seconds is crazy. For a DD you might need to be a bit closer to get consistency. Don't forget to tell the ship what to shoot at!

Thing is, people can call that frustrating when they're burning with multiple fires and no Damage Control but any other ship would be long dead... With flags and the right captain/ship skills the 60 seconds of burning can be slashed right down if one considers fires that big a deal. If someone's set fire to your BB after you've just repaired fires or a flood then they're either A) Doing it right or B) You have messed up somewhere. Good CV players will often wait for you to repair those deck fires before coming with the torp bombers. Or torp bombing you then seeing if you waste a damage control in panic, then their DB fly over the horizon and hit you with their BBQ payload. Don't forget, it does usually take a fair bit of HE spam to pound a BB down quickly. All the time they're beating down on you, your team and you have plenty of opportunity to shoot them back.

Amagi is one of my all time favourites but I don't think it can stand up in Ranked with the current meta. It's optimal range is too far away to cap and make a difference with pushing. If you try to get closer then German BB and torps will rip you up. Plus her armour is so unforgiving...

It's a little disappointing that there is no change in the star system. Maybe direct mirroring MM will help somewhat...

T6 ranks will be full of yolo and potato, likely it doesn't actually matter what you play aslong as you are vaguely competent. Higher ranks I feel that the Bismarck with a 15 point captain, full secondary build and a bucket load of flags is the only way to fly. She is probably the strongest all round BB in the game, everything about her is atleast "good" if not excellent. My little jaunt in the Ranked PT seemed to confirm this. Otherwise I'll get out my Atago and try to grind her to 15 points...

I'm a BB player and I love how they play but HE vs them is certainly not OP. Anyone who disagrees is invited to play another class of ship. You'll see exactly how tanky all BB are then...

Yeah, nice. It gets HUGE, like quarter of the screen in 2560 res, more than enough for anyone!!!

Recently since 0.5.10 I've found Aslain doesn't agree with my PC. I use Haka mod (type Haka mod WOWS into Google) , some of the menus are not English but once you work things out then it's all English in game.

I use the custom mini map as seen in Aslain and Haka mod. Can go far larger, shows the ship's class name and even has an enemy direction of travel line. I pretty much rely on using it. I think Flamu has used it in the past too. Only hope eventually WG will add something like it into the game.

With hindsight I might not have got the Iowa. I've kept both that and the Yam as trophy ships but hardly ever use them. Waste of a good 15 point captain on the Iowa too...

Flags and camo always get wasted. Yolo and potatoes and own bad luck/ability probably means most of us need twice the amount of xp buff flags than we think we need...

Yes, I bought a 1070, upgraded from a R9 290. No idea why, game looks no better even with a few gfx tweaks... Especially this is most of what I play nowadays. Should have saved the £400 odd on Prem Ships

There is a little screen bleeding if you look carefully but the pace of WOWS means it's hardly noticeable.

Good mode in theory but you still get campers around the edges you end up chasing...

The Iowa is 12.2km with full concealment upgrades, its practically just as sneaky. Maybe wait until PT and play a lot of Iowa then.

I take the main gun accuracy mod. I run my Gnesi as a stealth ship like my Tirp. Need all the accuracy you can get from those 6 guns. Imo you don't want to be in brawling range. The Scharn is better at really close range. Your torps should be a last resort but that's just how I've chosen to play her.

If it's anything like the time they took to fix the Warspite then we're in for a wait Being penned by a Konig at 10km is probably legit, if it was shooting you at 15km then I would guess the majority of shells would bounce. My Nagato is still in port but I just haven't sold it since the last season of Ranked. Even in Ranked with fewer enemies shooting you it still felt under-armoured.

Reversing, reverse directions is crazy... Why do you need it?!?? Can't you drive a real car? Or for that instance, have you ever played GTA or some other driving game...

If only I waited, I hardly play her so could have waited awhile for a discount...

Even before the arrival of German BB I've preferred the Colo over the Naga. AP secondaries are fail, I've never seen them do anything except fire pretty white shells into the air.

Whilst the Bayern and Warspite look similar on paper, they shouldn't played the same...
